The amber-hued mare with a touch of honey in her golden eyes lingered beneath the skeletal frame of a tree caught in winter's chill. A light breeze teased at her whorled mane, tresses of her tail floating gently as the built-up snow was carried off.
She gazed out at the snow-covered banks, a serene smile lingering on her delicate features. Though winter yet transformed the land, she could feel Spring budding up beneath her cloven hooves... small buds, hibernating beneath the snow until the coming warmth woke them from their slumber... traces of fragile blossoms upon the most resilient trees...
There was beauty in nature, even in the harshest of times.

Rajput shivered, shaking his dark bangs out of his eyes as mint green eyes glared at everything around him. He cantered in place, his tail flicking around hitting his rump every now and then. Frowning, he decided that if he moved around constantly he wouldn't get as cold. Oh, how he wished he had a pelt for this weather. He started a light trot, wanting to find a place that had a decent amount of sun that would warm his hide.

One ear twitched as the sound of hoofbeats in the snow reached the Cerynei's sensitive ears. She peered out as the glare of the morning light reflected off the snow.
Company? Her smile warmed as the thought stirred anticipation in her lonely heart. Although whatever creature now approached could be... grumpy, Orea was quite thrilled at the chance encounter.
"Good morning." Her voice was melodic, holding musical notes within its depths.
Kalona or Flutter, Uni or Mini, they were all welcome in her eyes.

If the other hadn't started talking, Rajput might've missed her completely. He stopped rather ungracefully, not expecting the other's presence. "Uh...morning." he grunted, looking over who exactly was talking to him. He wasn't one to really go out of his way to be sociable, so he wasn't sure how to respond.
Rajput merely stood here, avoiding her eye contact, but stealing a few, quick glances at her every now and then. She wasn't bad looking, actually she was probably one of the better looking mares he'd seen. Not that it really made a difference to him. What did she want he wondered. He wasn't too interesting to be completely honest.
