A rather large stallion was trotting through the tall grass, randomly stopping every now and then to nibble and tug at a few choice plants. What was nice about the grassland than the desert was the abundance of things to eat. That made Rajput happy.
He liked this, the sense of solitude and the only thing he heard was the chattering of songbirds and the wind whistling gently through the grass. For once, he smiled, at peace.

This was nice.

Pavitra didn't blend in well at all in this green, lush surrounding. A sore spot in the vibrant and colorful hues. A blank spot. Or that's how he felt. He didn't enjoy being alone, wandering around like this either. Wait.
Since when had he'd been so melancholy?

Shaking his head stiffly, and letting a sigh escape, Pavitra's mood dropped even more. He himself was poor company.

His ear automatically twitched at a noise and jerked his attention back to the forefront of reality. Glancing in that direction, he say a faint movement in the distance, partially hidden by bushes and leaves. Another horse?

The smile still plastered on his face, Rajput slowly walked from plant to plant, stealing a nibble as if he was in a a buffet. Sadly, small nibbles from here to there weren't much to really satiate his hunger. He was a stallion after all. Creatures like him needed a lot of food to compensate. He lifted his head to to gaze at the plains before him, his first thought was wondering if he would be able to eat this whole entire grassland.

Though, his thoughts stopped as he noticed something in the distance sticking out like a sore thumb. Rajput raised a brow, head tilted as he squinted to stare at it. It had...wings?

Whatever it was, it was just a block of white from what he could see.

Hedging in the direction of possible company, Pavitra bent his head between two large leaves handing from a lowered tree branch. With a clear view, he saw it was indeed another stallion. Not necessarily a friendly looking stallion, but another regardless.

His eyes darted side to side, uncomfortable with direct eye contact. "Hello there?" He said hesitantly, edging even more from the brush hiding him.

"Hi." he grunted back, his mouth forming into a thin line. Just one day. Rajput pleaded, one day where he would just have 'Rajput-time'. He merely stood there, eyeing the other. It had wings and it was pure white. Must be hard to keep it clean, he mused.

"Uh..." Great way to start a conversation, "...Yeah." Great way to end a conversation.

He was such a champion of socialization.

Pavitra's ears flicked back and forward in an awkward way as he shifted his weight hoof to hoof. Normally he was the champion of friendly, idle conversation. But normally the other person seemed more willing to reply.

"My name is Pavitra. What is yours?" Pavitra ruffled his wings now that he was completely out of the shrubs, feeling less cramped. "I'm new here, traveling." he added after a moment, as if explaining everything awkward about this meeting and making it okiedokey peachy keen.

Rajput cleared his throat, eyeing the other stallion. He was one of those wind-things wasn't he? Didn't seem nearly as strong as him though, he thought with confidence. "Rajput." he said, nodding his head in greeting. Wow, the other one was just like him too. Pavitra was it? He was new here and he was traveling around his place too.

Without saying anything more, he bent down, nibbling on a dandelion. So sweet. And delicious. Why weren't there more of these around?

Pavitra watched the male return to his grazing. He'd made a habit of moving his head along with his eyes. People weren't always sure he was looking at them because of his lack of visible pupils. They were there... some how. He'd never really thought that much about his oddity of being all white.

"Its nice to meet you Rajput." Then there came another awkward silence. Maybe he wasn't wanted as company right now? Probably not. The thought made his shoulders visibly slump even ever so slightly. "Are you apart of an herd?" He was determined, in the back of his mind, driven by the want to not be alone right then.

Rajput felt Pavitra's eyes on him, and feeling the back of his neck bristle, he tried to make no mind of it as he continued to munch.

"Same." he said inbetween chewing, "I suppose." Was it nice meeting another? The stallion wasn't so sure. He raised his head finally to look at the other horse. "I guess I used to..." he said slowly, thinking about it, "But I kind of left them...you know...it gets boring." Wow. He said a lot just now. More than he would usually say.

Just to be polite, he asked, "Are you?"

At least he wasn't a fake personality? He seemed very blunt which could be refreshing. Nothing was more hurtful than someone pretending everything.

He answered the question immediately. "Nope. Never have been." Which seemed ironic as sociable and how easily lonely he became. "I've sometimes wanted to be, but I tend to move to much... and herds would sometimes think of me as a short link in the hierarchy." In other terms: weakling. The only good thing Pavtira had was speed. The boy could fly. Ha-ha.

Rajput cocked a brow, "Short link?" he repeated. "You got wings." he stepped closer to the other, inspecting them up close with no sense of personal space. In his herd, wings were revered. Hell, the leader and his mate and children all had wings.

He shrugged, "I don't think herds are worth the time." it was too much work and too many other horses that were extremely petty over anything possible. "It's good you didn't join one." he said with a small nod, "Saved you a lot of trouble."

Pavitra spread his wings for Rajput's benefit. Personal space was no existant to Pavitra because of his own touchy-touchy personality he had. Nuzzling will forever and always be his favorite pass time.

But he was confused at the stallions words. Even though he'd never been told so by anyone, Pavitra figured he would be a weak link in a herd. Sure he was seen as beautiful by most. But the ideal herd that Pavitra imagined joining wasn't based on looks. Its what they could bring to the aid of the family as a whole. Pavitra saw reproducing as a maybe never. He wasn't able to fight. He was easily startled. And common sense could use some extra, but he had heart. That was easily hurt.

He voiced none of these to the stallion before him though. Why would he want yet another person to see him as useless?

Rajput stopped mid-step, staring at Pavitra's tail. What a weird looking tail. Why did it have no hair? And not to mention...he also had a horn. How weird.

"What's with your tail and head?" he asked rather brusquely. What was he exactly? He couldn't be a horse could he? "You sure you a horse?" His mint green eyes squinted in suspicion, as Rajput warily circled around him. Something was up...he just didn't know what it was.

Or maybe it was just him not knowing much about anything as he grew up so secluded. But then again, he was never wrong.

Men chuckle. Thats what Pavitra had been told one day by a very grown stallion when he was a mere foal. But that wasn't a rule that Pavitra decided to follow. Giggling quietly and turning his head to watch Rajput, Pavitra was 'grinning like a fool'.

"I have a horn, and most of my kind, that have horns, have this tail." He bent his tail upward and curled it around his leg and let loose again. "It has bones all the way down to the longer fur at the end. See?" Pavitra flexed again, trying to 'feather dust' the end of his tail along Rajput's nose, gigging more. "I am very much a horse."

Rajput wrinkled his nose, not enjoying being tickled. Oh yes, he could be very ticklish at times, but like he would ever tell anyone that.

"That's...very different..." he finally said with much difficulty. He had a lot of meaner things he could've said instead, but decided not to take that route. He wasn't in the mood for trouble today. "My herd didn't have anything special except for wings." well more of everyone was very much horse except for the leader and his family.

"Why're you smiling so much?" he said after dropping his suspicions as Rajput finally faced Pavitra face-to-face again. Was there someone on his face or what?
