The teenager's room at home was covered from ceiling to floor in blond wooden shelving; items were stored in cases, some still in their original packaging, or they were left bare on the shelves. But for the most part, Desma only collected things that were still in their original packages. All of the bricka-bracka was categorized in different forms, some items were kept together by theme - cartoons/television shows being one of them, jewelery being another. Two of her most recently acquired pieces were perched on one of the eye level shelves, the tiny princess figures staring blankly at the rest of the room. The other snow globe was within arms reach, the first one, Desma had picked up.

The rest of the room contained an unmade full sized bed, the black and red comforter lay balled on the floor next to the wall. A small desk piled high with DVDs and tucked underneath those there was probably a text book or two that she'd conveniently 'forgotten'. Spread across the red sheets were a few newspaper clippings and printed pieces of paper.

Desma had been collecting research, all that she could on Destiny City, which did not amount to much in the way of things. There wasn't much to know, however she was noticing a small trend, the increase of deaths, and the increase of sightings of the terrorists, the Senshi.

It had been less than twenty four hours since discovering that she was one of the senshi and that she could in fact use her weird pen to transform herself into something..someone magical. The teenagers opinion of herself was a low one and the fact that her main power sphere was that of failure did little to boost her morale.

She was sitting on the floor, back leaning against the bed, her knees drawn up so that she could rest her clunky laptop on them. She stared at the blurry image in front of her. To be honest the television was out, and for the moment her draw to the snow globes was only a small itch, and wasn't fully pullung her away. The image before her was a picture of the star Gomeisa, the beta star ( she looked at this thinking that of course she wasn't even enough to be named for an alpha star) of the constellation Canis Minor (it too wasn't good enough to be good enough to be first). Somehow she was connected to the blurry image and that disturbed her. She wanted to know why she had these powers..and what the star Gomeisa had to do with failure at all. Did all senshi's cosmic counterparts have something to do with their powers?

"Why did I get failure..besides the obvious? Why not something cool, like.." well she didn't know any of the other senshi, but certainly there must be 'better' domains.

As she pondered her hands reached absently for the snow globe sitting beside her on the floor, it had it's own pillow beneath it, matching the one beneath her own tush. Her hands nimbly, out of habit turned the tiny delicate key. As the melancholy song tinkled Des was sure that she heard a voice. Pressing her ear closer to the glass she heard it again, this time more clear, but still quiet and distant.

The town square? The fountain? She wasn't going to exactly tell the beautiful thing no, not after all that had happened. Maybe the owner of the beautiful voice knew more, she doubted it, but maybe.
