New Vice-Captain Selected! What Should Be Expected?
Last night, Guild Captain Lance Fulgurant, made monumental guild history as he promoted Mistah BomChickaWahWah, formerly a crew member, to Vice Captain. The topic is something that had been in discussion for a while amongst crew and regular guild members, but it wasn't until about 5:32PM EST that a decision had been made. It isn't often that something like this is done. The last person known to have worked his way from regular member to Crew to Vice-Captain is no other then the infamous, Gregar828. (Edit by gregar: INFAMOUS!?!)
Over the past few weeks, the POTS community had seen more of Mistah then ever before. Through PMs and the creation of threads, he worked relentless to make himself known and make improvements to the guild, both in the public forums and behind the scenes. When asked about the promotion and his feelings about what he will do with it, The Mistah's response was,
There are many who have high expectations of Mistah and expect to see a lot get done in his first 3-month tenure, so that means the pressure is on. He has stated a number of times that he will try his best not to let anyone down but one must wonder if that is indeed possible. There hasn't been any information spilled about what he plans on doing but as weeks progress, we will more then likely see what he has been working on, if anything at all.
Crew Applications Available For Public Submission!?
This week there has been a lot of controversy and confusion over the new "Crew Applications" thread which most members thought to have been deleted, but last night Lance made yet another monumental decision by bringing the thread back. Members are only encouraged to fill out the application if they believe they have skills that will assist the guild. There has not been any official crew announcements made about the applications that have already been submitted yet. There has however been some amendments to the applications so, people who have already submitted their applications may want to check the thread again to see if they are up to date.
Monthly Village Rankings! Who is the Strongest/Weakest?
This part of the article is where the active villages are judged and ranked in terms of war power and political strength. Understand that these are from the point of view of the author of this article. Research and Statistics have been use to calculated to the results of these findings.
#1 - Suna
:Reason for position::
This village has had a pretty showing as of late. Ever since the induction of the fairly new Kazekage, Jade Uchiha, this village has made some power moves that will no doubt secure them a position as a dominant force in the ninja world. Recently their Sannin, Koizumi Natsumi, was killed by Jade, which many view as a good thing for the village, but that won't be truly known until further down the road. Speculation has already began about who might be the new Sannin. Although Aeden, Jade's husband, would be the obvious choice, perhaps they will select a newer face to fill the position.
Another huge factor that sets them at number one, is the "secret" alliance between them and the newly formed Death Dealers. In the POTS Shinobi World, absolutely nothing is known about this rogue organization. Even in RL, there is still much that remains a mystery about it's members and their intentions. This mystery and secrecy will definitely prove to be a huge asset in this village's arsenal.
:Advice::
What this village needs is to keep up the intense pace and not let up for a second. If Jade can continue to upgrade and increase Suna's power then they will continue to stay strong. The secret is to never be satisfied. I would encourage them to utilize their alliance in every aspect possible and to find a new Sannin. Making Aeden Sannin would be expected but it would only tie him down to the village when he could be used in more valuable ways.
#2 - Iwa
:Reason for position::
Although this thought seems very ludicrous, it is a justified one. There are whispers in the wind and it seems like Iwagakure is gearing up to be the world's next superpower. They have just received two new autoranks; Duckmasta will be taking the role of Sannin, while 420PurpleSmoke will be taking the role of Jounin. These two's new RPCs, along with Beatriz's RPC are going to be a nearly unstoppable force. Beatriz is stepping up this year in many unexpected ways which leads me to believe that Iwa deserves this spot.
:Advice::
Continue with what is planned and monitor competition. Try finding more RPers from other guilds or the Barton Town to join the guild and possibly the village.
#3 - Kiri
:Reason for position::
Kiri gets this spot because they haven't done anything spectacular but they haven't done anything damning either. The zombie act does a bit to stir activity but it still doesn't do enough to impress me. The new Sanbi host may end up being a strong factor for them. I'm interested in seeing how they utilize him.
:Advice::
Luo is not able to be as active as some of the other kages. That is a fact that this mist ninja will have to face and although it may not seem like a big deal now it will be later on. Some of the kages are making big moves to move their village ahead, the mist village will have to learn how to do that without the help of their kage or a sannin.
#4 - Leaf
:Reason for position::
Alright in truth, this village was close to beating Kiri this month but I couldn't give it to them. Unlike Kiri, this village is fairly inactive. They do have an active leader though who has been spotted talking to the Otokage. Perhaps this village's strength has yet to be seen? They do have a large group of genin in their ranks. If the majority of them pass the chuunin exams, they would have a strong army. The reason this village is so low is because a majority of their power lies in " if " and not much on " is ".
:Advice::
Make sure each and everyone of those genin are ready for the chuunin exams. The village has some auto-ranks that need to be filled and once those are filled the priority needs to be the genin. The Leaf could us a bit more personality as well. I suggest that you all find a theme and stick with it. You'll be surprised by how much activity can be stirred from such a thing. Also you guys have the 8 gates! Use it!
#5 - Kumo
:Reason for position::
There are a couple of reason why I will place this village at the bottom, while months ago it would be at the top. The empire known as Kumogakure has fallen and now the village must rebuild. A long time has passed now yet they have yet to recover from the damage Ukiyo has done to them. No one can blame them for being blindsided and attacked ferociously, but that was a while ago. Things could and should have gotten better now.
:Advice::
What Kumo needs now more then ever is strong leadership, motivation, and creativity. It is true that they have the least amount of villagers but that doesn't need to be a bad thing. By creating custom tech, developing attack strategies, and finding a new Sannin, Kumo might get stronger. Sosay should be making sure that each genin is ready for the chuunin exams so that they can actually send some people off for this one. Kumo will need it's own theme as well. No one will want to join a village if it's not interesting or it doesn't have anything special.
*Note: Since Oto and the Demon Country are fairly new, I'm going to wait until the next newsletter to judge them.
You Ain't Heard It From Mistah But... ninja
Well guys, this is the closing article and I hope you enjoyed reading this thread. I hope to make the next newsletter bigger and better, and if you want to help me with it then you can just send me a PM expressing your interest. So since we are about to experience the merriest holiday of the year I figured I should end this on a high note!
Now... ninja the moment you all have been waiting for is creeping upon us. There has been a lot of talk in the upper brackets about a new storyline that is sure to have the whole guild at the edge of their seats. Obviously I can not reveal much information on what is gonna happen but I can tell you that just when you think it's over, it will have just begun. This compelling new story arc will push boundaries that no one ever knew existed as we remind you all why POTS is the best damn Naruto guild you will ever join. There is a thin line between love/hate, good/evil, and life/death. In this arc, the line will only get thinner.
Here is an preview of things to come:
Haha interesting stuff huh? Who was that? Why did he die? What village was he from? Well all of those questions will be answered when we kick off our next arc. I recommend you all start training and getting ready! This is going to be a blast.
Well, Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you enjoyed this newsletter and I can't wait to release another! Until then live life to the Supa Dupa fullest you crazy POTheadS! I can't wait to do this again.
Supa Dupa Signed,
Mistah BomChickaWahWah

"Well I feel Supa Dupa honored. This is really what I've been working for and I'm glad that Lance gave me a shot. This is an astronomical epic win for me, but I still see it as a milestone (a Supa Dupa milestone might I add) in the road of what I hope to accomplish here. I am more then excited to work with my fellow captains to take POTS to the next level and I differently won't forget my supporters who helped me get to where I'm at now. I'll continue to stay 100% true to myself and all of the loyal POTheadS out there."

"...And the air was thick as the sky turned darker than charcoal while just moment ago it was its normal blue hue. No. The day hadn't turned into night. The sky was just consumed by the black clouds of fire and hatred that surround the area. Death lingered heavily in the air making it hard to breathe as it seemed the world would meet its inevitable end. Just yesterday at this time he could remember having a cup of coffee with his mother as she begged him to give up the life of a shinobi because of how dangerous it was. He was offended. He was angry. He was an idiot. He yelled at his mom as he stormed out because he thought that she was underestimating him, but it would seem that she was right, just like mothers always are.
Swearing under his breathe, he coughed violently as blood sprayed out of his mouth and painted the green grass. He tried to stand up but suddenly delayed pain and horror finally hit him like a barrage of bricks. The explosion had decimated the bottom half of his body and he was quickly bleeding out. He screamed but his scream was soon silenced as another explosion triggered and blew his remaining body to mere ash. It wouldn't be long until..."
