********* was a lump of snow.
She hadn't meant to be a lump of snow, but that ended up being the case. The tailless cat wasn't usually a very nappish manx, but when she got the chance, she'd do just that. It was the middle of the day, and she had managed to find a decent clearing in the park that seemed like a perfect kitty-nest. Maybe it was because someone had molded the snow to look almost like a bed. Or maybe the snow just fell that way?
Either way, it looked cozy enough. Nestling down in the snow, the feline dozed off, despite the cold. It honestly would have been the perfect time for some sort of Negaverse agent to sneak up and steal her away. That was a matter for another time. Closing her eyes, the cat drifted off. While she slept and most likely dreamed of delicious sugar plums, the snow began to fall from the sky again. It was a bit lighter than some of the snowfalls prior, but it steadily buried the feline under the pale powder. Soon enough all that was visible of the cat were her ears, peering out slightly from a pile of snow.

Ah, if only the cat was up for conversation right now. She would have had a few choice things to say if she wasn't so groggy. ********* probably would have agreed to the fact that she was, indeed, a rather adorable cat with a rather adorable set of patterns to her fur. She wasn't vain, but she knew she was one heck of a cutie pie when she wanted to be.
The mention of having no home would have probably gotten a comment about it being a matter of perspective. One could look at it as ********* had no physical home to go to. Or, one could look at it as the cat did. The world was her home. The world was filled with many kind people, including this little girl that the manx was snuggling up against. Whoever this Octavian Oswald was, ********* would have to wait til later to introduce herself to him (as she had yet to figure out the stuffed animal beneath her was indeed the companion the child spoke of).
For the remainder of the "ride," the small pale cat was a good passenger, merely snuggling and purring. The mention of food hadn't been ignored, but the only change that was noticeable was the fact ********* started purring a bit louder.
Food was always a good thing.

All of the purring the cat had been doing only managed to make Ainsley giggle and smile as she had left the park behind and was walking down the sidewalk. She was sort of getting the hang of where things were but once and awhile she still managed to get lost. It seemed the darker and later it was outside the more likely the small child would lose her sense of direction. Thankfully, it was still quite early out and the small child managed to make it home without getting her and the cat lost in the wrong end of the city.
"We're here," she said as she quietly walked up the couple steps and then played tango with the various animals in her arms as she managed to open and the door and go inside of the house. She didn't hear anything inside of the house. It seemed Bell wasn't home. Ainsley slipped her shoes off and then padded across the floor and to the kitchen where she softly put the cat she had been carrying onto the kitchen table.
"Sit here!" She said as she then proceeded to put her white plush bunny Octavian Oswald on one of the chairs. She gave a good look between the two and then announced, "I'll get you something to eat!" before dashing over the kitchen floor and to the cabinets where she grabbed a plate and then a glass. With a second thought, she put the glass back in the cabinet and grabbed a bowl before taking them over to the counter. She opened the fridge after a few good tugs on the handle and found some milk and poured it as carefully as she could into the bowl before putting the milk container back into the fridge and then going into the lower cabinet. She dug around a bit and then finally found a box of cookies. They were for Santa though.
Ainsley thought hard on the matter and in a hurry she put the box of cookies on the counter and with a "One second," she left the cat and bunny plush alone together in the kitchen. The plushe seemed to be looking at *********, its deep eyes looking into ********* as if it was trying to search her very soul. After a moment, Ainsley popped back into the kitchen with a small santa hat in her hands. She often put it on Octavian Oswald to celebrate the holidays but today it was going on Santa... Santa Cat!
She put the santa hat on the table and gave a smile to the kitty cat before she hurried over to the counter. She could only go so fast, it wasn't safe to run in the house! After finally getting the box of cookies and taking some out of the box and onto the plate she had put on the counter earlier she put the box back into the cabinet and carefully picked both the bowl and plate up and slowly moved over to the table. She didn't want to spill any milk so the child was moving like an old fashioned zombie including speed and the way her arms were in front of her.
Getting to the table finally, she gently put the bowl beside the cat and the cookies beside the milk before trying to put the santa hat on the cat. She hoped the cat would keep it on as she tried to explain the need for it. "These cookies were for santa, but you can be santa for now. He'll understand!" She said as she thought about how she would get more cookies out for the other santa later. With that thought, she took a seat with Octavian Oswald and watched to see if the cat would eat.

Kitchen tables were not nearly as cozy as the arms of a child. ********* took sleepy note of this. When she was set onto the furniture, the cat seemed to flatten out as best as she could, doing her impression of a pancake. Her purring quieted down, but it didn't vanish. There was another mention of food, so she just flat out couldn't stop.
As the child scampered off to do whatever it was she was planning to do, the cat closed her eyes and just seemed to take in the warmth of the room. She had to definitely agree this was much better than snow. I'll consider this a break for now... ********* couldn't afford to stay too long. She had places to go. People to see. Senshi to awaken!
Speaking of senshi to awaken...something was itching her brain... something...
Before she had much longer to think about the condition of her brain, the cat once more was scooped up. Without any sort of struggle the cat gained a hat upon her head. It was not the first time she had worn a cat, but it did always seem a bit weird to wear such things while in this form. Especially since there were no ear holes, causing her ears to get smooshed into the cloth. She mewed out inquisitively at the explanation and groggily opened up an eye to try to get a hold on the situation. However, her eye wouldn't give her the information she needed. Oh no, her nose started to twitch, gathering the smells in the immediate vicinity.
There were cookies.
Another twitch of the nose.
And milk!
Once settled down again, the cat almost seemed to roll into the direction of the milk. It was easiest to finish up first, since it went down so easily in comparison to cookies. Carefully, she got to her paws, but only long enough to get her immediately in front of the bowl, then crouch down in front of it. Her eyes closed and she began to lap up the milk. Considering how sleepy the manx had been acting, it was actually quite amazing that she was able to polish off the milk in 3 minutes flat.
Letting out a content mewing sound, the cat then stood up again and made her way over to the cookies. Cookies, along with most other food that wasn't smooshed up ahead of time, took much longer to finish off. Yet, that didn't scare the cat away. Crouching down in front of the plate, the cat made herself comfortable as she began to work on the cookies. She'd bite, then nibble, then chew, then have to repeat such. It wasn't exactly exciting to watch, and in comparison to the milk, it was painfully slow.
However, the room was almost filled with the sound of her gentle purring as she continued to eat.

Ainsley watched in awe as the cat found the milk and cookies. She tried to stay quiet, hoping not to scare the cat into not eating the gifts she had given her. She waited, and watched and was not disappointed when the cat began to lap up the milk with the santa cat on its head. She wasn't sure... was the cat a girl or a boy kitty? Ainsley thought on it for a moment as the cat enjoyed the milk in front of it. It was a pretty sort of purple almost, which made Ainsley think the kitty was female.
She smiled, elbows on the table, and leaned in as she said, "Is it good?"
Hearing the cat's gentle and continual purring as it finished the milk and then moved onto eating the cookies, even at a slower rate, was enough to convince Ainsley that the cat did very much enjoy the food. Thinking this, the small child couldn't help but giggle just a little at the fact. The kitty was happy! Oh, Santa Cat. It was nice to give to Santa for a change!
She couldn't help but pet the cat a little as it was nibbling away at the cookies. She was such a soft kitty, and so cute! Ainsley wondered if Bell would let her keep the kitty. It couldn't possibly have a home, it was sleeping in the snow and was all cold and hungry! With the thought of hunger, Ainsley wondered if the cat would want more and questioned the small cat with a simple, "More?"

As the cat continued to work on her cookies, she noticed the bowl was picked up and the child trotted off to go refill it. Considering that cookies went beautifully with milk, it made sense that the girl was getting her more milk. Ah yes, ********* would have something wash down the dryness of her throat after eating cookies.
Her nose did twitch slightly as the girl began to approach again. She didn't need to be told that there was meat, because her little nose had already given her the heads up. The cookies had almost vanished by the time the girl returned, only one quarter of a cookie left. Seeming a bit more alert now, she sat herself upright, looking almost attentively at the child as she set the bowl and paper towel on the ground.
Yogurt wasn't milk, but it did work as a beverage (********* knew this due to previous adventures). Abandoning the crumbly quarter cookie, the cat put all of her attention on the yogurt, lapping it up eagerly. The only downside to yogurt was it was more solid. So after a bit of lapping up, the poor cat had quite a mess upon her face (heaven forbid if this was a colored yogurt). Liquid (or semi-liquid) was always much easier to put away, and soon enough the manx had magically made the bowl of yogurt disappear.
God, this is so good... I am definitely going to be waddling out of here tonight though!
Almost to match her thoughts, ********* seemed to almost roll over to the paper towel. There was more food to be had still. Licking her maw, she then began meal number 4. Mmmmmmm, meat!
