The snow had just come out of now where, but the weather often seemed to do just that. It wasn't always explained, but in many cases such as this is was really quite pretty to look at. By now it had been snowing for quite a bit though and there was a good pile up forming in the not so busy streets of Destiny City. It seemed like it was never ending and many people figured it was just one of those days where you snuggle up by the fire and read a book while the window covers with snow. Not everyone had decided to go home and settle down. Ainsley was out there and she was exploring with her trusty prince Octavian Oswald.
There were a lot of shops on the side of the sidewalk that the small child was on and as Ainsley passed by she'd look through each of the windows, looking at what the store sold. Uninterested she passed by a chocolate shop as well as a candy store. Although she did enjoy those things, it was not what the child was looking for. It only grabbed her attention momentarily and then passed. Just down the sidewalk, there were a few high line fashion stores with beautiful dresses that Ainsley paused and looked with a bit of an interest before finally continuing on through the softly falling slow.
After Ainsley passed the high line fashion stores she stood still on the sidewalk while adults passed by her with a very rather strange looks. She found herself staring up at the sky for a bit, not for a moment, but for a good five minutes before she finally felt a breeze and came back to reality. She was dreaming of the most interesting thing, but the thought had disappeared from her mind when her grasp on reality came back to her. She was a bit in a daze as she looked down at her bunny companion. He wasn't making any noise, and he too seemed to be staring up at the sky. Shaking the bunny plushie a few times she sighed a relief when Octavian Oswald made a bit of a noise to Ainsley's ears only.
"You got lost," she said to him with a bit of worry as she hugged the bunny back to her chest.
After a bit of squeezing, the child continued on with her journey down the sidewalk of outlets. She passed quite a few stores until finally something in the window of a store grabbed her attention. She stopped quick and turned to look at the window. Soon she found herself pressing her nose up again the glass window and staring inside at the snow globes on display. The small child found herself daydreaming at them, how pretty they were. She could not take her gaze away from them for even a second, the thought of leaving and continuing to find other stores completely gone. It took her a bit but finally she was able to pry her nose off the glass and look up to see the store name: Imperium Greetings.
She took a moment more staring at the window set up and then scurried her way over to the door. She pushed against the it trying to get inside. It was a frivolous battle with the door until one of the employees inside came over and pushed the door open for the small child, causing her to realize what she was doing and blush with embarrassment. "You have to pull," a young woman said with a smile to the child who embarrassingly had tried to push open a pull door.
"Oh." Ainsley said to the employee, burying her face into Octavian's head for a moment before she eagerly stepped into the store.
After she had stepped into the store, the employee gently closed the door behind her. She smiled at Ainsley and politely asked her if she could be of any assistance to her. Ainsley declined the employee of her services and the employee nodded to her and told her if she needed any help she would be just over at the counter before she left her.
"Now where are the snow globes?" Ainsley asked to Octavian before she held the white plush bunny up so that he could get a better look around the store. "You see them?" She asked him, turning him around the store. After a few moments, Ainsley brought Octavian Oswald back down and snugged tightly into her arms then happily wandered over to where the window display was.
She was staring at the snow globes again in a very dazed sort of state. They were just so pretty and alluring. Small 'ooh' noises could be hear slipping from the small child's lips and it wasn't long before one of the store employees came over and took one of the snow globes off of the self and lingered over the small child who was too distracted to even notice the employee lingering behind her.
"Excuse me," the employee said as she waited for Ainsley to acknowledge that she was there. It took a few moments but Ainsley finally turned around with a small "Hi."
"This is for you," she said as she held out the box with the snow globe in it. "You're our next winner."
Ainsley's eyes lit up as they searched the employee for reaffirmation and when the employee reaffirmed, Ainsley nearly squealed with excitement. She held out her hands with her plush bunny and happily accepted the box before reeling her arms back and holding it tightly next to Octavian Oswald.
"Thank you!" She said with a large smile.
The store employees smiled and nodded and soon after Ainsley waved and went to leave the store. She tried to pull the door open, forgetting was now on the other side. A small giggle from behind her and one of the store employees came back over and pushed the door open for the confused child. She thought she opened the door, and happily left the store. It was still snowing but Ainsley didn't even notice as she stared down at the box in her arms. She felt like she could see the snow globe even though it was in a box! She was going to head straight home and put her snow globe in a nice spot where she could see it!
