[BAT] Chains of a different sort (Arsinoe & Sirius)

He'd gone out alone for once. Not a usual occurrence anymore since he knew who and what Cordy was and he had Denebola on his side at least somewhat. Something about the bitter cold and the strange occurrences lately pushed him out on his own thought. Somehow he thought if he could get away from the house, the snow globes, he could think about them without being overwhelmed by them.

It had almost worked until something else caught his senses. He was on the outskirts of the city, mostly out in the open save for a few trees, when the air started to feel odd.

The only time he could remember feeling like this was when he'd faced down a Youma and Denebola had come to his rescue. This time he was prepared.

Slinking behind a tree he called his phone and flipped it open. Maia had said you could track others with it and now he could see a mark not far from his position.

Youma.

He could find it easily but fighting it? He still wasn't sure he could do much of anything on his own.

Sirius tended to go out on her own, even after joining the BMC she tended to go out alone. She was one confused senshi that was for sure. She had no idea who or what she was fighting for. Maybe one day it would all clear up for her but for now she stuck to the usual routine of patrolling.

Unlike the senshi who wasn't that far away Sirius never really used her phone other then when she was at meetings. It was worth scanning them all to find out who they were and at least have the contacts if needed. Had she ever used the phone other then that? Nope, she never really got used to having one.

Sirius used her senses and it was her hearing that allowed her to find the youma so quickly. It was her eyes that saw it and her tongue that swore at it. She hated youma and even this one that seemed a little dumb looked well disgusting. Could they not at least make youma look at least a little better?

It was pretty easy to spot the Youma out in the open but he hadn't expected to find something else out there too. There hadn't been a second source with the Youma when he'd checked his phone but there was certainly someone there now.

Out in the open the warm glow from his lantern made him stick out and it didn't take long for the Youma to spot him standing in the snow. Cursing he eyed the creature and tried to slowly inch his way toward the other senshi. If nothing else he could hope they knew how to fight and he could distract the ...

God the Youma was ugly.

Sirius noticed something moving behind the youma and spotted the other senshi. Nobody else would have then stopped and got the phone to scan who it was but she did. Always good to know who you were working with or at least Sirius thought so. She found it hard though to trust anyone but then that was just her.

"Oi you ugly piece of s**t." Sirius didn't usually swear... yet lately she had been more and more often. She wasn't overly sure what to kill this thing with yet but there would be something, there always was. After all her weapon was useless when it came to attacking.

Sirius did however then realise that the other senshi may have thought she was talking about them so decided to pick up a stone, granted it was really small but it was something and she threw it at the youma. Now to look for trashcans, the lids always made good weapons; that and she wanted to get closer to the other senshi.

He wasn't quite sure why the other senshi was taunting the youma but at least it seemed to be keeping the things attention. It hadn't lunged at them again and seemed to be keeping an eye on the girl as she inched her way toward him.

As she got closer and the youma continued to turn he could see the extent of it's ugliness. At least it didn't look too smart. At least it didn't until the other senshi decided to lob a rock at it.

The youma snarled and lunged at the girl. Scrambling through the snow he grabbed her arm hoping to at least tug her out of the way of the creature.

The youma lunged at her a lot quicker then she would have expected and so the tug towards the other senshi was received gratefully.

"Thanks!" She smiled at him but didn't bother saying much else there really wasn't much to say when there was one rather ugly beast that stunk beyond belief.

"COLLAR BOUND!" She called towards the youma, an energy bouncing around it until it was trapped unable to reach them. It felt rather strong though and if she wanted a good chance at fighting it this wasn't going to be it.

"Hey you find anything heavy or pointy or anything that could in some way do some damage?" She called to the other senshi even though he was like right next to her. She wasn't overly use to working with others...

He blinked owlishly for a moment as the youma was caught in whatever it was her powers had done. That was a neat trick if anything else. It probably would have been amazing if he was actually a better offensive fighter.

At her question he held up his lantern and pointed at it. "Magic seems to work rather well on them most days." He smirked slightly before taking a step to the side so he was better aimed at the youma's face. It always seemed to work better if he could get the orbs in their faces.

He light one of the small sticks he carried around and watched it burn for a moment. "Dancing Lights!' With a quick blow to the flame the orbs twisted off toward their target and caught the youma full in the head as it thrashed around trying to get free

Sirius watched as he moved and allowed herself to stay where she was until something happened, in fact it was his attack that made her move and drop her own attack. His couldn't hit the mark if the collar was still there. She had found this out before annoyingly. The good thing was that actually it meant she could keep others safe as well as keeping the baddies away from them. She still hated that her powers were defensive but then that was just what happened.

She ran over to the other senshi as the youma got hit, still looking around for something sharp.

"What does your attack do anyway?" She was curious because she honestly wasn't sure if those balls of light hurt the youma or just annoyed it.

".... either hurt it or piss it off." He wasn't ever really sure what his attack would do. It always seemed to depend on exactly where the orbs hit and whether the youma had a thick hide or not.

The youma's thrashing and struggling this time semeed to have worked to his advantage though. The orbs that hit it's skin did little but one connected with the creatures eye. It might make the stupid thing angrier but it at least woulnd't be able to see as well.

"Well anything pisses them off so that's not surprising." She watched as the orbs hit and seem to blind the creature in one eye.

"Okay next question, how often can you use your attack?" She knew some senshi seemed to have a limit on how often they could attack, she was lucky her attack lasted until she fainted - whether that was lucky or not she wasn't sure but either way!

She moved suddenly as the creature lashed out but it's new lack of sight seemed to be affecting the attacks so much that the creature wasn't able to hit on target. At least that was a blessing if nothing else.

"Not for a while." That was the major downside he'd found to his attack. He couldn't do it very often so if he didn't take something out in the first hit he was pretty much screwed. "Have to resort to physical attacks ... or hope it brains itself."

He winced slightly as the youma crashed into a park bench trying to get at the two of them. At the way it was going it would either destroy half the area or kill itself. He'd much prefer the latter if he had a choice.

"Usually i have someone with me who's better at the physical sort of things ... sorry. More of a brain myself"

She winced a little as the bench broke. Of all the things to do be doing... such was life.

"Fair enough. If I collar it again can you go grab some of that bench it just broke? We could try stabbing it that." She would wait for him to agree before she collared it as she would need to get it away from the bench or he wouldn't be able to get to it. Stabbing it seemed to be the best option in her mind though so that was the plan.

"Unless you can think of anything else mr brain?" She smirked at him, teasing him a little. There was no harm in trying to have some fun in all this drama!

"Um ... i guess that will work." It was better than anything else except for the part where he had to stab something. That wasn't really something he'd ever wanted to have to do. Those monsters insides were probably as sticky and slimy as their outside and he didn't want it getting all over his clothes.

"Just, um ... try to keep it's head away from me?" He shifted away from her so he could move toward the now destroyed bench and the youma. IF she really could get it under control maybe he could stab i hard enough to dust it.

Sirius laughed!

"It's okay, hopefully it's head will be following me! Just shout when you have the wood, erm... I will then release the collar, keep it's attention and you stab it?" She wasn't sure it would work but with no better option why not? After all part of her would enjoy teasing a youma. With that she ran around the other side calling to it and teasing it, throwing the stones and all the other usual things you do to get a big, fat, smelly, ugly monster to follow you!

It worked though not as quickly as she would have liked apparently it was slowing down, possibly because of that attack? She could hope so! Once it was far enough away from the bench she collared it and just stood there smiling while it tried to attack the force field holding it where it was. Now just to wait for stabby stabby times!

He snuck around the monster while Sirius kept it distracted and hoped that he didnt' managed to trip over something and get it's attention again. Once he'd made hs way to the pile of bench rubble he started rummaging around for something he could use to stab the youma with.

Most of the bench had been reduced to splinters but after some digging he found a usable piece and grinned. He looked up so he could keep an eye on things and waited. He almost thought that Sirius wouldn't be able to get it until he saw the collar snap back around the creature.

Getting up he snuck around the youma again. Biding his time carefully he waited and watched as the youma started to wear itself out more. As soon as Sirius release it he could stab it.
