This is a private roleplay between Sakngea [audio fiend] and Kyung [Koco Pelli].

Setting:

Sakngea dislikes tea-shops. Tea-shops are full of nosy people, such as Kyung.

The sun was warm on his back, even though there was the chill of winter in the air. Sakn wore a sleeved shirt today, and his feet were doubly wrapped for walking. But his nose was still red, and the tips of his fins felt slightly numb. But as he walked and soaked in the sun, the redhead cared little about red noses of numb fintips.

He cared very little about anything, really. during the day, Hyun Chun slept(or what ever it was a spirit did when they aren't reading your every thought) mostly, and this left Sakn feeling less then energetic. He had come to find that the deceased ex-Legionnaire was much more responsive once night fell. It was like being two people, and this person he was now was tired, drained emotionally even when his body could last many more hours. It was like a trade, in exchange for her strength, Sakn signed over his feelings. Without her, he felt strange and frighteningly empty.

And so it was that he walked down the streets of the City, slouched and hugging himself, his red-ringed eyes staring blankly out at the crowds of people that passed by. He eyed some of them more then others, and when people casually brushed passed him, the redhead's temper would spike so suddenly that he nearly snapped. But there would be no murder in the day-light, and Sakn bit back each urge, even though the tell-tale tingle at the tips of his fingers begged him to do otherwise.

It seemed that people were less aware of his state then Sakngea was though, as no one made an attempt to dodge touching him, and the redhead quickly attempted to correct this before he lost control, and made a beeline for the closest shop.

The smells of tea assaulted his nose when the fisherboy entered, and his sinus's felt as if they had never been clearing. He inhaled shakily before moving in a shuffling, lethargic manner over to a table in the corner. When a lady came to get him some tea, she gently touched his shoulder and Sakn all but jumped from his seat. The woman looked startled, but said nothing.

"Tea, sir?" She asked, instead, smiling as best as she could.

Sakn looked up with tired eyes and responded, "I dislike tea," the voice seemed almost out of place with his appearance. It was too soft, too refined; out of the ordinary for one such as himself.

The lady looked flustered for a moment, then offered to bring him some water then, to which Sakn nodded, if only to get the woman to leave him alone.

He was high-strung from the contact now, and he could feel Hyun in his mind, drifting almost sleepily in the back of his thoughts. She wasn't interested at the moment, it would seem. Not yet, at least.

When his water arrived, Sakn made it his duty to not make eye contact with any of the other patrons at the shop, and instead sipped slowly from his cup, his face set in a neutral expression. Hopefully this would dissuade anyone from bothering him.

How long had it been since the last time he had left the Tae Estates? Quite a while probably, weeks if not months at the least. A certain.... event had thrown the cobalt Lunarian into a mental and emotional maelstrom. The effect was that the strain had passed onto his body, and unable to consume solid food, Kyung had stayed locked up in his room under the care of multiple physicians. Bed rest they called it, but it was probably more accurate to call it torture. With nothing to do but sleep and think, his mind had brewed and brewed about his relationship with Huang-Fu. And each time he thought about it, it only irritated him and finally, It had ended with the boy becoming an unpredictable volcano.

Following a few broken vases, more than enough crying maids, Kyung had regained his freedom. His father had grown tired of the servants complaining of the boy and finally relented in letting Kyung outside the estate's walls. An opportunity the boy had taken without a second waste. As soon as he had heard from his dead soul companion Inden, Kyung had thrown on some clothes and ran out the gates. Fast walk, actually, to be accurate.

With his new found freedom, Kyung had decided to go out for a cup of tea. True, he had quality leaves at home. But, there was a different between drinking tea made by himself and a tea master.

Sitting in a private booth, the boy gently blew at the steam rising up from the clay cup. The tea's fragrance was light and sweet, as expected of chrysanthemum. Raising the cup to his lips, he suddenly let out a shout of surprise and dropped the cup on the table. "NEMU!" The youth hissed as he reached into the sleeve of his clothing and pulled out a black python. "Stop damn you. Kyung muttered as he tried to peel the snake off his wrist. It was unheard of for her to be acting like this. The python had formed a kind of death grip on his wrist and was slowly moving back up his arm inside his sleeve. Almost as if she was trying to hide. But from what? There were no animals here other than rats, and that was an animal the snake had no problem killing. Was it a person?

At that exact moment, Sakngea had passed by Kyung's booth. Kyung froze as a deep chill worked its way down his spine. It was the same feeling he had when the dead were near, except this was a hundred times worse.

Turning his head, he couldn't help but stare at Sakngea. He was young, and yet he had the haggard look of a warrior. Kyung's silver gaze followed Sakngea to the table right next to his. Casually listening to the young man's interaction with the server, Kyung motioned for the server to come to his table. Pointing to Sakngea, he whispered to her. "Please get him some food, and put it on my tab."

Sakngea didn't bother to notice the way Kyung looked at him when he passed, and didn't notice that the young man had called over the same server to speak with her. He was too busy drinking his water and, well, doing nothing. He felt bored, yet had no urge to find something to do. It was as if nothing could please the boy.

Sakn was so busy in thought, thinking over the revenge he exacted upon that Legion member for Sothy's death; thinking about how he had to do all this to protect his family, that he didn't notice the lady was back. She was looking nervous, and set down a small plate and bowl before him. The redhead looked at her in a mixture of frustration and confusion, before saying, "I don't have money for this," he expected the woman to take the food back or notice that she placed it at the wrong table, but she only glanced over at the table beside him before bowing and leaving.

The redhead's frown deepened and he glanced to his left and noticed the rather small boy sitting there, sipping some kind of tea. Had she meant that this boy had paid for the food? The redhead wasn't sure, and either way, he didn't say thank you very often as it was, let alone to random strangers. So, Sakn narrowed his eyes and looked the dark-haired boy over for a moment longer before turning back to the food.

Amok chek was something Sakn knew well, and the sweet taste of bananas and the texture of the rice was pleasant enough to make he smile a little, and the soup was salty and fishy, warm in his stomach as well. And it was then that the fisherboy realized how hungry he really was. Within minutes, the food was devoured, and he set down his spoon and sighed in, almost, a satisfied(?) fashion.

That boy is looking at you.

Sakn was no longer startled with the way Hyun's voice slipped into his mind, and only blinked when she spoke. She rarely said anything during the day, but now she was noticing random people for him. The redhead glanced out of the corner of his eye, and just managed to see the younger man(surely not older!) glance away. He scowled slightly and cleared his throat.

If Hyun noticed the boy enough to speak, he would as well. "Is there something you wish to say?"

Kyung shook his head. "No. I merely noticed you were a weary traveler. After all, there is nothing bad in aiding others." Turning back to the watery mess on the table, he scowled and called for a serving maid. In a short amount of time, the spill was cleaned up, and Kyung had a new cup of tea in his hands. He took a slow sip, relishing the light and fresh flavor. "Would you like some tea?" He asked. "It's chrysanthemum tea. It has quite a few medical purposes, but I find it to be useful for awakening and making myself more alert."

What are you doing Kyung?

His own dead soul companion Inden spoke, and the temperature dropped ever so slightly as the spirit moved closer to the boy. Though Kyung could not see the form of the soul, he could still picture Inden's expression. Something in between of critical and disapproving for trying to get involved with the stranger. The boy winced as the chill sank deeper into his body, coiling around the core of his bones.

Leave the shop right now. That boy is dangerous Kyung. He carries something in him that he cannot handle.

The spirit was practical shouting now. Luckily, it seemed as though none of the other customers were of the few select that could hear the dead. "I'll be fine Inden." Kyung murmured as he turned back to the redhead.

"I hope the meal was to your taste." He gave Sakn a gentle smile, unsure as to how the stranger would take to his rather androgynous appearance. "Since the meal was my treat, I was hoping you could treat me to some stories. If, that is not a problem. You seem like you would have many stories. Perhaps of the current political conflict or something more exotic." Say... maybe how the Sakn got his chilling atmosphere.

Sakngea had expected, at most, a simple no and nothing more, but instead was quickly finding himself being sucked into yet another unwanted conversation. The redhead made a rather sour face and groaned to himself as Kyung sipped at his cup. Sakn had only wanted to get away from everyone and not feel so tense but instead was finding that more and more people were insisting on bothering him.

When Kyung offered him the tea, Sakn turned his head, ignoring the offer and hoping that this would get the dark-haired boy off his case. There was silence then, and Sakn drummed his fingers against the table, his skin crawling as those eyes continued to stare at him. It was during this silence that Hyun spoke again.

It would seem he has a friend with him, her voice purred, privately to Sakn, she wished to be unknown to these two. For now, at least. The redhead screwed his face up at the statement. A friend? He had seen no one with the boy. The redhead glanced to his left, and his frown doubled. There was no one there besides to boy. He winced when Hyun's irritation sparked inside his mind, A spirit, you idiot. Can you not feel the difference? He is also a conduit, though a better one then you.

Sakn was livid then, his face scrunching at the insult, but he was an idiot, because now that he paid attention, the redhead could feel the chill around him, the tingle that was both spiritual and physical. And it was most definitely emanating from near the silver-eyed lunarian.

I see tha' now, he groused, but was unable to say more as Kyung began to speak again.

"I hope the meal was to your taste."

Sakn nodded slightly, wild green eyes watching the long-haired teen carefully. He seemed far to interested, and when Kyung requested a story, the redhead tensed up. Why was he expected to pay for a story when he had not asked for the food in the first place.

"I am not go--"

Speak with him, Sakngea. He is annoying, but perhaps we can find some entertainment in this.

The redheads face twisted again, but there was a burning in his neck that warned him not to argue. So he swallowed his irritation and fixed those tired eyes on Kyung's questioning ones, and frowned, "I am no good with stories, so why don't you ask me a question, and we can see what I can share with you," the words were snappish, but at least willing, and Sakn could hear Hyun in his mind, smiling and laughing.

She was awake, for now, and he could tell that she did not like this boy, but enjoyed making his life miserable more. Perhaps if he had just stayed at his home, where no one could bother him, she would not be so irritated and cruel.
