For those of you who have this paper shredder and are unsure of some of the things to do with it, look no further!
I am going to type out the Operation Manual.
The rules of the Shredder
1. Keep out of reach of children - safety issue. 2. The feed slot will shred anything including fingers, jewlery, hair, or anything that gets near it. Be smart and put only paper in the shredder. 3. Unplug the shredder when not in use, when emptying the bin just before it gets full, and when you get the accidental paper jam. 4. Limit yourself to how much paper you put in the shredder at one time to prevent those annoying paper jams. 3 pieces of paper at one time over a duration of 1 minute is a perfect prevention of paper jams. 5. The paper shredder is flammable. 6. Place in Auto mode to turn it on.
If in the event of a paper jam:
Switch the control to reverse to attempt to clear the jam.
If reverse fails, then turn off and unplug. You may need to clean it out manually.
If you cannot clean the shredder manually when it is turned off and you've tried cleaning it when the top part isn't attached to the bottom, then contact Royal about your issue.
