A faint tinkle is heard on the wind as Paris makes his way down the freshly covered deep green grass. On his head was a silk black band that his mother and father had gifted to him on his birthday as was the scarf and arm bands. Taking in a deep breath, he enjoyed the wind move through his long hair. It was times like this that he enjoyed the most, yes he loved his family, but it was also nice to have some time away. To embrace the silence of the forest, though he wouldn't mind a chat or two with different horses other than family.
Humming to himself he continued to his destination, the waterfall. It had the most spectacular view; land as far as the eye can see. The sound of the water falling and the birds chirping gave him a sense of peace. The wind felt nice on his wings as he stretched him to maxium length.

Today was just a regular lazy old day for Prism. He wasn't sure where to go to, but right now he was standing not far from a beautiful waterfall. Spectrum had disappeared a bit earlier in the day and the stallion had decided to just wait about for his wolf companion to return instead od going to look for him. With green grass surrounding him, a gentle breeze blowing his mane and tail about and the sound of the waterfall in the background Prism couldn't think of a better place to spend the day.
In fact his eyes were half closed as the sound of the water was slowly lulling him to sleep. Though he wasn't stupid, he kept her ears alert for the sound of anyone approaching. One could never know when a Skinwalker or Kalona could wander by and wish to harm a seemingly unsuspecting stallion like him. Of course the thought of something approaching from the sky was the last thing on his mind right now as he heaved a deep and content sigh. It was good to be lazy some days.

Golden eyes blinked slowly as the sound was calming, but shook himself with a laugh. No, he wouldn't start falling asleep now that he found such a lovely place. Laughing Paris backedup before galloping full tilt to the edge of the overhang. There was a moment of the earth dropping and then he was weightless. His wings moving up and down with little work as they were so big. The sight was quiet funny as it seemed Paris looked like he was walking down the waterfall and at the last minute he took off into the air once more.
He would have to show this place to his brother Crown or Cro as he called him. His brother always did enjoy nature like him, as did his sister but she was more conservative. Floating in the air a minute he once more looked down below to inspect the land for danger. " Oh what do we have here..." He spoke quietly to himself as he took in the unknown wingless male horse in the grass. Not one to be shy Paris gave a powerful push of his wings and flew down to greet the other. Landing silently he faced behind the other. "Hello there!" A cheerful note to his tone of voice.

His head had began to droop a bit, but his ears were still alert. He could sleep for hours in a place like this, the babble of water would ensure of that. And that had been his plan, or at least it was up until he heard the faintest of noises. It was like the soft rustling of a birds wing, only it would have to be a very large big from the sounds of it. Ears swiveled towards the sound and then a friendly voice called out.
Prism then lifted his head, forcing his sleep filled eyes to fully open. His gaze settled upon a winged stallion with the most interesting of decorations on him. "Greetings." He called out to the other as he took a closer look at the scarf around his neck, the band on his head and the bands on his legs. "Mighty fine day to enjoy a place like this wouldn't you agree?" With the drowsiness of his mind slowly disappearing he was able to think more clearly and could hold a proper conversation with this strange. "The names Prism. Who might you be?"

Paris tilted his head as he inspected the other, he seemed like a friendly sort. Much friendly then some of the others he had come into contact with while on one of his journies around home. " Yes, it is gorgeous out! A wonderful time indeed." Paris nodded in agreement before coming closer still and stopped about a foot infront of the other colorful male. " 'ello Prism, my name is Paris Cullen." He bowed his head a little. " I often coming to this piece of heaven to be away from family. Just as a little break you know what I mean?" He smiled at Prism before walking to the waters edge to look down into the crystal clear and clean water. See a fish or two swim away from his snout made him chuckle before he bent down to drink.
" What brings you out this way? I don't think I've ever seen you before. You visiting family? Or just exploring? Or something else?" He let out his questions in rapid session before laughing. "If I am talking too much let me know. I tend to ask a lot of question or so my brother says at times."

Prism nodded his head in greeting to the young male. "Well nice to meet you Paris." His now cleared eyes glanced about the surroundings again and took in the serene setting they were in as the other stallion made his way to the river. Prism followed a moment later, coming to a stop not too far from where Paris was and watched as the other seemed amused by some fish that were scared off. "So you live around here then?" He questioned, and understood the need to get away from family from time to time. Family was nice, but there were time when one just needed some alone time, time to think and not be restricted by others. That was the main reason why Prism lived a solitary life, he disliked all the rush and hubbub of the more social lifestyle.
The barrage of questions made him chuckle slightly. Ah enthusiastic youth, not that Prism was old by any standard, but he could remember when he was this stallions age and had plenty of energy and questions to go around. Now however he spent most of his time just lazing about. "Just was wandering about and found myself here. Figured I would stay a while since it is so peaceful. Plus my wolf friend should be returning sometime soon and didn't want to leave without him." He admitted with another slight laugh. Spectrum would likely be a little irked to return and not find the stallion waiting. "Nothing wrong with asking questions. Without them you would never get the answers you were searching for. I don't mind the talking." It was in fact a nice change of pace he had to admit, usually he spent so much time in one spot that the only one he spoke with was Spectrum and whatever Soquili that happened to wander by him.

Turning away from his current amusement, his hair drifted and shimmered in the breeze. " Yes.. well technically it's not far by flight. I haven't walked to this place by foot. " Paris laughed and watched the other walk closer noticing the other didn't have wings. " I couldn't imagine not being able to fly.. Yes, it sure is peaceful around here and a great get away. Oh? A wolf friend? I have yet to met a wolf though I do have a crow friend. She took the day to visit her family, she tends to do that every once in a while." Luminia was his childhood friend, other than his siblings of course. He had found her when she had injured her wing and he had nursed her back to health.
Paris walked with grace that was almost feline and feminine. He may look feminine but he was all warrior underneath. Just like his father Rune. " Good, nothing like a good chatting to make things nicer. Oh, you never did tell me your name." He looked at the other, waiting for the other to ebb his curiousity.

Prism chuckled a bit. "I couldn't imagine flying, spent my entire life on the ground so I tend to like it down here." Though he did have to admit, he had always been a bit curious about what it would be like to fly. He had, in his past, met a few other winged Soquili and they always seemed to have an extra freedom about them. Freedom that could only be obtained from flight. Well he couldn't do much about that, so he was content with how things were. Head bobbed at the mention of his wolf. "Spectrum is probably off hunting, so he shouldn't be gone to long. A crow you say? Well at least she can follow you through the sky."
Prism took a deep relaxing breath, so peaceful here. Of course when Paris began talking again the older stallion looked up. Wait, hadn't he already introduced himself. Prism was fairly certain that he had. Well perhaps the younger stallion was a bit forgetful. "Prism, names Prism. Though I was certain I had said that already." He replied with a chuckle not at all concerned by the fact that he had to introduce himself twice.

Eyeing the other horse with contemplative look he blurted, " That must suck not knowing the air." Paris looked like he wanted to smack himself for saying that but winced. " What I mean is that- er, but then again... Yeah, I can make that possible if you want. Fly I mean." He watched the others reaction. " I've seen my father do that for my mother. Hehe, but then again it may be more difficult with you as you are larger in size... and male. "
Paris paused awkwardly as he ran out of things to say, so he continued to listen as Prism talked about their familiars. " Oh I see, thats nice. I usually go um hunting with Luminia, for berries. Yes a crow and yes though sometimes I need to slow down a bit so she can keep up with me." He licked his lips at the thought of the sweet and juicy fruits. Paris nodded, " Nice to meet ya Prism! Sorry, must have missed it somewhere in the conversation!" Paris chuckled at that.

"Don't need to fly to know the air, we breath it, we can run through it." Just because he couldn't experience flying through it didn't mean he completely missed out. Air covered so many aspects of life, that missing out on a small one like that didn't matter too much to him. "Thanks for you offer, but I like to keep my hooves on the ground." He let out a slight chuckle. The offer to fly was intriguing however Prism felt no real need to experience what it was like to fly. Had he been meant to experience then he would have been born with wings.
"I can't save I've ever gone hunting with Spectrum it's one of the few things we don't have in common." He looked over the other for a moment. "I suppose with those bigger wings you would fly quite a bit faster than a crow. I'm sure she appreciates it when you do slow down for her." He fell silent for a moment considering, and then after a pause he asked. "So anything of interest around this area outside of the waterfall...something that I can get to from the ground?" He let out another chuckle, no sense in knowing about a place that he couldn't get to under his own power.
