The caravan had been stagnant for what seemed like ages. And while that had suited earthy, stubborn Rojiza just fine for a long time, she felt it was time to breathe some new air into the lives of the gypsies. She knows from the weather that it's Yule, the season of giving. And she knows she has a horde of little treasures stored away in Mountain Air that currently serve no use to anyone, not even herself.

And so with Solas on her hip and Taog on her shoulder, she walks to the center of the wagon circle with a small gift wrapped in delicate brown paper, tied with a green ribbon. They'd circled around a juvenile fir tree, not much taller than Ro herself. She tucks the gift underneath it. She hopes others would do the same.

[OOC: This is meant to be a bit of a gift exchange for our characters. Whoever's next can post about leaving a gift, then when everyone's had a chance, everyone will take a gift and open them. Just make sure you post whose gift you're taking. 3nodding ]

"Hmmm..." Leshya'e pulled a contemplative face, "No...Not that...maybe this?...Hhmmm." She sat on the floor of Varekai and pulled a box out from under the bed. Opening it and rummaging through, she pulled out something that clearly met with her approval. "Oh, yes, this is just perfect!" She smiled and placed it in a small, velvet lined box. Tying it with a ribbon, she placed it in a basket and went to find her daughter.

Just a few yards away, Anezka was standing under a tree, up on her tip-toes. "Ani, what're you doing?", Shy cocked her head to the side. "Huh?...oh...just wanting to get something to decorate the box with...bits of pine tree and dried berries, maybe."

Before Leshya'e could offer assistance, Veshengo strolled up, grasping a branch and pulling it down to where Anezka could reach. Ani looked up and, at first, just saw someone towering over her. She squeaked and jumped to the side, causing Shy to laugh. "Oh, sorry..." Veshengo said with a smirk on his lips. Ani put her hand to her chest and sighed, "Oh, you're both so funny, aren't you?" She shook her head and pulled off the necessary bits, then turned to Veshengo, "Thank you...Will you be leaving a Yule gift?" He nodded and brought his other arm from behind his back, displaying a small, simply wrapped box.

With a smile, Shy put her arm around Ani's shoulder, as the three of them walked over to the tree. "Look...other gifts..." Ani smiled and placed her gift down next to it. Shy and Veshengo placed their gifts down as well, then bowed to each other as they headed back to their respective wagons. Ani stood standing by the tree for a moment, basking in the inner warmth the holiday brought to her. When the cold finally started to n** at her, she pulled her shawl tight around her shoulders and headed back to Varekai.

Aisrhan watched out the window of Weathered Melody as Rojiza placed a small brown package beneath the tree in the center of camp. "Khevashi, come here!" she hissed quietly, so as not to disturb their mother.
Silver was sitting on the bed mending a pair of pants. She glanced over at the two briefly, raised an eyebrow, then went back to her sewing. Khevashi folded his large black wings around himself in an effort to ward off the cold as he crawled from under his warm blanket and joined his serpentine sister at the window ledge. He cocked his head at her questioningly. She had that gleam in her eye that she always had when she was up to mischief of some kind, so he was wary of her intentions.
"I want to know what's in it!" She pointed out the window at the box. Khevashi looked and saw Rojiza outside, and a small gift beneath the tree. Khevashi shook his head and Aisrhan scowled. When she looked back out the window, Rojiza was still there, but the gift was gone. Her eyes widened, then narrowed quickly. "Not funny, brat. Your illusions don't work on me." Khevashi smirked and Aisrhan could once again see the brown package. "It's not ours to take, Rhan," he whispered.
"Of coursse it is, little brother. She wouldn't have left it there, if someone were not meant to take it. Why not me? Er - us?" Aisrhan grinned wickedly. Khevashi only shrugged. He really wanted to know as well - his crow nature made it difficult to deny his curiosity - but he often pretended not to care, in order to irritate his sister. It was working. He could see her temper rising.
"If you want to know what's in the package, you will have to leave presents of your own."
Aisrhan and Khevashi both jumped simultaneously as they realized their mother was standing behind them.

"What? Why?" Aisrhan snapped quickly, embarrassed that she hadn't noticed.
"Because that's how it works. And don't you take that tone with me, young lady," said Silver threateningly.
Khevashi snickered to himself as Aisrhan grimaced and looked back out the window moodily. She hated being told what to do.

"Leave a gift of your own and maybe you'll get something in return. Maybe you won't. This is the season of giving, you two." Mherudyn squawked from her perch in agreement.
"I'll leave something," Khevashi said, his black eyes lighting up. "Maybe I'll get a new shiny!"
"You and your shiny crap." Aisrhan rolled her eyes. "...Birdbrain."
Silver shot a warning glare at her daughter and went back across the wagon to her sewing.

Later, having each picked something of their own to leave as gifts (Aisrhan more begrudgingly than her brother), Silver and her children quietly left their presents beneath the tree and retreated back to the relative warmth of the wagon to watch and wait.

As a family they had kept very much to themselves for what seemed like a lifetime. Kala hadn't changed her behaviour but Amkia tolerated her as much as one could. He stayed true to his angelic looks and helped in any and every way he could.

Today he was babysitting Kala. Their mother stayed in the wagon, she hadn't been well recently and so Amkia had offered to take his cat sister to exchange presents. Kala was behaving as well as one would expect, she seemed to be uncontrolable and Amkia was holding onto her as if for his life as they took the presents to leave under the tree.

Amkia left a present wrapped in gold with a purple ribbon around it. Kala left a rather torn box. She was a child now and not a spoilt toddler but then she didn't seem to act much different and the ripped box showed it. She didn't really care what anyone got, they wouldn't want what was in it anyway. Kala wasn't the giving type. Amkia had to pull her away from the tree to stop her from taking everything underneath it. They were soon a safe distance away and Kala just stood sulking. She was not happy, not at all.
