My best friend and I are both in an Irish Literature class, and right now we're going mad for the Tain Bo Cuailgne - our textbook only gave us a portion of it, and a very concise portion at that, and we desperately want to read more. It deals with the adventures of Cuchulainn, the Hound of Ulster, and Queen Maeve, and everything.
You could check that out.

We have to make up fairy stories in English and I'm doing mine on the most perfect place ever only it's miniscule because they're all fairies and I really wanna have an evil leoprachaun init and I don't know why but I think it would be weird but I think I'll have and evil leoprachaun who will crush the perfect kingdom! Or maybe not?

The story of Rhiannon is pretty cool... Err... I would link a version, but I'm still confuzzled about the linking rules... aaronshep.com has a really good version - long and short.
Also, there's a book called The Hounds of the Morrigan by Pat O'Shea. It has a lot about Celtic deities in it... and it's an awesome book anyway.

I readed one that is about a young women who is getting married and it is her wedding day. One the night of her wedding day her husband is walking on the beach. By the way he is a officer. Her dad was down there as well. It was very dark and he couldn't see anything and he thought it was someone who was going to kill his officer. So he took out his gun and shots the man. Then he realize that it was his daughters husband. the wife was looking down at this time and she see her husband lying on the ground died. she screams and loses her balance and falls of the castle wall. The end.

Neko_Kitsuni Also, there's a book called The Hounds of the Morrigan by Pat O'Shea. It has a lot about Celtic deities in it... and it's an awesome book anyway. I LOVE THAT BOOK!! Seriously, it's been one of my favorites for such a long time - probably about ten years now. Now I'm even more depressed that I lost it two years ago... still, it's wonderful. A definite must-read for anyone who is looking for some Irish fairy and folk tale flavor.

It was my first real introduction to Celtic mythos... and now I'm in love! crying tears shed for you lost book!

Mostly I just have collections of myths, or find them online.

Oh cool! Some of those sound like very good reading. We have a book that is a collection of Irish Myths and folklore. Children of Lir is one of my favorites (my daughter's dance school did a dance drama of it this year. It was so cool!). The only story about Fin MacCool I'm familiar with comes from Dancing on Dangerous Ground, I'm afraid. redface But I love that DVD!
