A moonlit hour...

My very own shop. Sapphire stood in front of the flower shop and took in a good look. It was small. Had big windows. And many empty shelves. Looks rather plain to me. A wind blew up. She wrapped her scarf tighter around her. But once I get it cleaned up, we'll see what happens then. She took out her key and unlocked the front door. It was dusty inside. Cold too. She shivered a bit, pulling in the many boxes of flowers and plants inside. She switched on the lights, which were a golden orange glow. I like it. She thought. She headed over to one of the shelves and began to work. She dusted the place, mopped it, washed it, cleaned it. Did everything she could to make it as nice and clean as possible. It took about an hour to finish with all the cleaning. At last the place was spick and span. She wiped her forehead and sighed, staring at all the rest if the work that still needs to be done-putting in all the plants.

She took some daises out of one box and lined them up on the top shelf. She did the same with the daffodils. And the snow drops. And the violets and so on. Soon the whole shop were filled with wonderful smelling flowers and plants. A couple small trees were placed outside. She went around to each of them and stuck price tags down. Almost done. She shut off some lights and plugged in lamps, for a more homey feeling. She placed a couple seed bags on the smaller shelves and a small light blue music box on the counter. She stuck an OPEN sign on the window and a store hours sheet on the door. Finally. I'm finished. She gave a sigh of relief and went to the counter to sit down, gazing at how she turned a normal plain looking shop to a bright and homey flower shop.

Leila was still disappointed that the old flower shop had closed down. The rumours were that Ginger was not Ginger but a Katrine or something like that. Not that Leila hadn't got her suspicions about Ginger not being a simple crappy flower store owner. After all, she didn't even new the difference between a rose and an Orchid, kept dozens of guns in her closet and her sister was kidnapping and molesting blind girls. You would have had to be very stupid to not notice something like that. Still, that was something Leila was willing to overlook, she wasn't one to judge, considering that her own identity was as fake as Ginger's. But still, the fact remained that ever since she had admit who she really was and had started to take care of her real cousins, she had closed the shop, not needing the cover anymore. That was a sad news for Leila. Not that she cared much about Ginger, the girl hadn't even called her once! But, she still loved the shop! Flowers were her greatest joy after all! Well, after rare jewels, that is.

That was why, when she walked pass the old shop, she was startled to see lights inside it. Even more, after a closer look, it even had flowers! And an open sign! The woman walked inside it, making sure to remove the snow from her boots and dusting it off her long brown coat before walking in. She looked around with wide open eyes. This was... a New Flower Shop! Wasn't that marvellous? Orchids! They had to have orchids, surely!
The pink haired woman started to walk around, looking for her favourite flowers. Now, just where could they be?

Sapphire was sitting behind the counter. She had taken out her book and was reading it while waiting for a customer. She almost didn't hear her first customer come in if she hadn't heard a small tapping sound on the wood floor. And she almost didn't hear that too (she gets really involved in the book when she's reading that she doesn't notice anything around her) if she didn't suddenly sneeze. She dropped her book and went down to pick it up. When she looked up again, she saw her first customer standing right there, looking at the flowers on the shelves as if looking for a specific kind. My first customer! She thought. She stood up straight. May I help you with anything? She asked, setting her book down on the counter.

She had heard the sneezing coming from behind her, but she hadn't payed much attention to it. I t was probably only an other customer looking for something or one of the shop clerk developing (again) an allergy to the flowers. . Turned out that it was the second option. Well, sort of. She doubt there was any form or allergies to it. The pink haired woman turned around to face the young shop owner. She looked her up and down before letting a loud squeal out of her mouth. Why was she making that noise? Why, because the girl was just adorable! Like a little baby seal before it was clubbed to death... okay, bad example. Let's just say she was like a little kitty playing with wool. Yes, that was way better.

Leila grabbed the girl's left cheek, while still making that little squealing noise. Her own eyes were shut tight as she tried to burn that image in her mind. "You're so cute!!!!", she exclaimed once she was done acting like a seven years old. "Look at you! That little dress! Those blue hair! Awh, you're so cute!" By then, the woman and let go of the girl and was clapping her hands together, letting the tip of her fingers rest against her tilted face. "Oh, why haven't I seen you around before? You're just so lovely! Are you legal? Oh, like I care! heheh" Oh, she could kidnap her, drug her and make her a living doll! She could even drink tea with her... Okay, that was getting kinda creepy.

She giggle a little bit as she regain control of herself. "Yes, I am looking for Orchids. Do you have any? I just love those flowers. Don't you?" Of course she did! Everyone loved them! They were the best afterall!

Sapphire was waiting for an answer when suddenly the woman let out a squeal. She flinched. Then before she could react, the woman came over and grabbed her left cheek and squealed again, saying something about her being cute. Wha-what.... She managed to mumble out. The woman finally let go and was gaining control of herself again. Confused, Sapphire started rubbing her cheek a bit and listened to the womans reply to her question. O-orchids? She asked. Yeah we have them. They're right over there. She pointed to her right. On the top shelf. They were lined up neatly and were bright and beautiful. I love orchids too. I love all kinds of flowers. Thats why I chose to take over this shop. She gave her a smile.

Ah! Look at her! Being all flustered and cute! Leila giggle a bit more at that sight. Oh, she loved teasing people so much! That should became her main hobby, really. She walked toward where the orchids were. Of course she didn't saw them the first time, they were on the totally opposite shelves! Oh, shame on her, shame one her. She grabbed a dozen of pink and white orchids, smelled them, then made her way back to the desk where the girl was, still obviously confused. "Oh! It's so good to have an other flower lover here!" She said, placing a hand on her right cheek and batting her eyelashes like only her could do.

"The last shop owner? She knew nothing about flowers. Seriously, she even mixed up a sunflower for a rose once..." She shook her head, letting a long disappointed sigh out. As much as Ginger, or rather, Katrine, as she was called now, was fun to played with, she really was a disappointment when it came to flowers. "Yeah, she worked for the Amarican Goverment or something. Was here undercover. Don't really know the details, don't really care. She's living on a farm now, taking care of her sisters."

She didn't knew that from first hand, but in a small town like that, rumours did go fast. Especially after the murders at the masquerades. "You should be friends with them! They are such a lovely bunch! As much normal as can be!" On that, she giggle a bit more. Of course they weren't 'normal'. One was an alcoholic, the other a kidnaper and the third one a rapist with murderous tendencies. But still, it would be fun to see how that meeting would unfold.

She then waved her hands in front of her, showing how she was about to change the subject. Enough of the crazy Valentine's family! Time to talk about the new girl in town! Leila grabbed one of her hand, the right one, in between her owns, and smiled at the young girl. "So, tell me cupcake, what's your name? When did you arrived here? I never seen you around... You're not from here now, are you?"

Sapphire was still kind of confused as she watched the woman get the orchids from the top shelf and listening as she told about the last flower shop owner. Really? She was here undercover and all? She had no idea the last owner was like that. She barely even knew there was a last owner. She'd always thought this was just some old shop that some random person abandoned. I didn't even know somebody worked here before me. She said. I'm surprised she didn't know anything about flowers. Even more surprised she worked for some government thing. She chuckled.

Having a bad feeling suddenly about those sisters the woman suggested her become friends with, she quickly said, O-oh sure! I'd be glad to be friends with them! Maybe some time when I'm not so busy with my-uh shop! She added with a quick smile. And my name is Sapphire. I arrived here just a couple of days ago. From- She stopped mid sentence, trying to remember what it was called since her mind suddenly went blank. From, uh somewhere across the sea. And no I'm not from here. I'm new. She finished, trying to be polite.

Leila giggle some more, noticing the reaction of the shop owner. She had good instinct. It was obvious she didn't want to meet the Valentines, and it was probably better that way for her anyway. Still, so much fun Leila could have had spying on them all being awkward and everything.
"Ah yes, what can I say? You never know who the people around you really are. For all you know, I'm actually a great jewel thief working part time as an assassin!" She laugh that off, waving her hands in front of herself. Oh, if only the girl knew, if she only knew... Leila took some money out of her pink purse and placed it on the counter. She might be a jewel thief, but she sure wasn't a flower one! "Well, I am going to go now. I doubt we'll ever meet again. I was simply here on a vacation. I'm leaving at the end of the season. I'd tell you to go out to all the various festivals. You could meet lots of...interesting characters." On that, the pink haired girl blew a kiss at Sapphire and walked out of the shop. Ah, least she would have some pretty flowers before leaving.

Um..okay. She said, wondering about the jewel thief part she mentioned. Thanks for shopping at the flower shop! Have a nice time on your vacation too. She smiled as the woman left and collected the money from the counter. Festivals huh? She thought. Maybe I'll go to one. She silently chuckled to herself and scribbled down something in her memo: First customer: Pink haired woman who bought orchids. She always loved to keep track of her customers, just so she won't forget them. She drew a quick portrait of how the woman looked like. It was just a simple one that looked a little like her. She closed her memo shut once she was finished and picked up her book. Time to read. She thought as she opened the book to chapter 10 where she left off.

/New day or something?

Frederick K. Murrow ❤ ❤ ❤

Freddy hastily made his way into the flower shop. The moment he came into the shop, he looked out of it, checking to make sure no one followed him. He was paranoid, because last thing he wanted was his bro, Jean Philip, to know he's buying flowers! For a girl! There's a reason they're best friends; neither of them grew up past 10. The young man quickly made his way to the counters, he didn't want too seem suspicious though. "Hello!" That's a good start. Does not make someone want to write a nasty column on how you're buying flowers to use a fuel for some sort of matter manipulator.

After grabbing and gulping down her latte in several scalding sips, Jess hopped back on her motorcycle and headed to the flower shop. Everyone always said her white plantation house would look good with some bright-colored flowers.

Walking in and hearing the bell above the door jingle had Jess remembered how the last flower shop that they'd had had been a huge disaster.

Seeing the boy at the counter and not wanting to be pushy Jess decided to bide her time by looking at all the beautiful flowers scattered in a neat but claustrophobic way throughout the small building. The smell of the flowers was intoxicating and that had Jess drifting over to the nearest shelf. Jess had always loved hibiscuses and lilies.

Frederick was overcome by a sense he knew far too well; his otter senses clearly detected a disturbance in the area! Because we all know that Frederick's otter senses allows him to detect everything from a 360 degree angel. The young man turned around, and noticed a really pale girl. Albino? Or a ghost?! Either way, pale as s**t. She looked weird too, her skin incredibly pale, grey eyes, really black hair and makeup. She looked like the kind of pale white goth chicks in hentai that he very much enjoys. Erm. Well like a doll! Like a really weird living doll- dammit Freddy! Quit getting your mind around new, odd, fetishes. "You look creepy as ********> He said to the girl, nothing wrong with his conversation starter and introduction. "Erm, I'm Freddy." How did you walk outside without an umbrella!? "...You happen to uh, need sun lotion?" He has some just in case he runs into an albino girl in a flower shop too.

Jess's gray eyes flicked behind her, noticing the boy from the counter standing there. Setting the potted plant she'd been holding back on the shelf, Jess turned around. Looking at him Jess figure he couldn't be any older then 19. Figures, the nastiest mouths always belonged to teenagers. Hell, Jess had had one at a time in her life, but then she'd learned, the hard way, that she had to watch her words. Because if she didn't, well, let's not go there.

Jess shook her head. She was so not going to give this kid the satisfaction of hearing her talk. So, instead, she walked over to the open shelf that she'd set her motorcycle helmet on and stuck it under her arm like a basketball. She fiddled with the chin strap for a minute, trying to think of something to say that wouldn't make him blow up at her and wouldn't make her sound like a moron at the same time.

Then something clicked in her mind. "Actually, I'm not an albino," was what she said before lifting her shirt-sleeve up to her upper arm and revealing the bad scar she'd gotten after crashing off of her first motorcycle. It was a large, red, 1 inch, jagged scar the spanned from where her shoulder met her collar-bone to the middle half of her upper arm. Albino's, even if they were scarred, could still never gain much color so the vivid red of her scar proved her point. Pulling down the sleeve of her favorite riding shirt, Jess turned and walked out the door, figuring she could come back later for the flowers.

"Then you must just be really pale." Frederick said, pointing out the obvious. Really, she needed some sun! It was summer, there was a beach, why was she not there tanning? That's what he would be doing if he was that pale, instead of his nice healthy color from being outside most of the day spying on people through trees. but he couldn't just believe her that she was just pale, and happened to had a scar. She had to be some sort of mystical creature, yes! He has not seen one for such a long time. Reminds him, visit that alien girl Fleurette sometime later. Hm, but what? "Well, not zombie, too pretty to be a zombie." Frederick said, hand on his chin, examining her. Maybe he should speak a little quieter.. and not stare at her trying to figure out what she is. That's when it hit him; homunculi! Made perfect sense! Just as he was about to ask her if she had any plans to find the philosopher stone and bring hell upon Nirvani (who doesn't want that?) she left.

Here Freddy thought he might be able to win over her friendship with his quirky personality, so that it wouldn't just be him and Jean Philip watching the original Star Wars movies while they made their Stormtrooper costumes for next Comic-con. Oh well, maybe next time. Frederick looked back at the counter, seeing as he doubted this person was even conscious, and in some state of AKF. Freddy went over to the roses, and grabbed a few dozen, then left the appropriate amount of money on the counter. They were quite beautiful, Usagi would undoubtedly enjoy them greatly. She didn't have any friends other than him, so around Valentine's Day, she might need something nice like this. So a few roses, chocolates, and an otter plush would cheer her up from her loneliness. Good thing she's only sister-cute too, or else this might be troublesome. With the flowers, he left the flower shop. His parrot, Don Rosco, landed on his head the moment he walked outside. The bird did have to wait outside of stores and all, seeing as some people just don't appreciate parrots that can sing every song on Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon album. /Exit Freddy
