ZONE 4: SANDY CLAWS' WORKSHOP THROUGH THE RED DOOR crossing time: ??? Finally, you've arrived at the goal! As you approach the giant building that overlooks all of Christmas, you see a gnome standing at the doors. "We've got your perimeter taken care of. All you gotta do it get in, grab the loot, and get yourselves out, got it?" Looking left and right you see several other gnomes sitting cross-legged with their eyes closed. "What?" Door Gnome asked crossly, "You thought we'd just abandon you?" Yes, you did actually. "Well, normally we would have, but this here is different. This here is about ELVES. And Sandy Claws. BUT MOSTLY ELVES!" He looks at you all squint-eyed for a moment before nodding to himself. "We went ahead so we could put up a barrier of sorts, help you snots out a bit once you get inside. Things'll be a bit different things time around." With those less than useful but slightly reassuring words, he opens the door and you walk into The Workshop. Five doors stand in front of you. Each a different color. "Each path leads to the goal, so just pick one and get going!" You go through the red one. Quote: The OOC: This zone is only for those who pick the RED door. There's no set time for crossing this area, the final goal will have to be unlocked instead! Thanks to the gnome's barrier, the battles rules have changed! Be sure to read the post below!

BATTLE INFO This will be a GROUP BATTLE. When the area boss attacks, it will affect everyone who has posted in the thread before that attack post. TENTS WILL NOT WORK IN THIS AREA. If you have entered the area at all, your student will be getting attacked along with everyone else! The battle will consist of rounds. Each round begins with the boss's attack. You may each attack once per round. KO- due to the barrier, a KO will not zone you back to the Infirmary! You'll just be passed out on the battlefield! - after 24 hours, your character will be able to "revive" with 15 HP. Regular Attacks- are unlimited as long as your character isn't KO'd - are a simple melee attack (punch or kick or ankle biting or w/e) to use: - roll 2 6-sided - subtract 6 from your total - the final amount is your damage (getting a negative number with a regular attack will not decrease your HP) JOY Weapons- Due to the concentrated power of the workshop JOY weapons ARE NOW USABLE MULTIPLE TIMES IN BATTLE. The exception being the Tangled Lights! Those are destroyed completely after one use and will not be usable again! Also: the roll for Carol of the Bells has been changed!Christmas Wreath -> A circle of green complete with lights. Throw onto the enemy. There's a lingering smell of burnt plastic in the air... Roll 2 6-sided dice. If the first roll is even, you hit. If is odd, you miss. The second roll determines how much damage you did if you hit. Examples A Hit Hitmon rolled 2 6-sided dice: 6, 2 Total: 8 (2-12) 6 is an even number, so it hit! Sadly it did only 2 damage. A Miss Hitmon rolled 2 6-sided dice: 5, 2 Total: 8 (2-12) 5 is an odd number, so it didn't hit. Disregard the 2, it does nothing. EXTREME SNOWBALL LAUNCHER 5000 Roll two 8-sided dice. The first dice is the amount of damage you deal to your opponent. The second dice is the unfortunate backlash done to you. Example A Hit Hitmon rolled 2 8-sided dice: 3, 6 Total: 9 (2-16) Damage done to opponent: 3 Damage done to self: 6 This weapon never misses. It will ALWAYS hit your opponent AND yourself. A Sack Full of Joy Reach in and start bombarding your opponent with random trinkets. Roll 3 6-sided dice. Damage done is the AVERAGE of the numbers rolled. If the total is EVEN, you hit. If the total is ODD, you miss. Examples A Hit Hitmon rolled 3 6-sided dice: 4, 2, 1 Total: 7 (3-18 ) 4+2+1 = 7 7 divided by 3 is 2.3. Round to the nearest number and it's 2. Because 2 is an even number, it resulted in a hit for 2 damage. A Miss Hitmon rolled 3 6-sided dice: 3, 3, 4 Total: 10 (3-18 ) 3+3+4 = 10 10 divided by 3 is 3.3. Round to the nearest number and it's 3. Because 3 is an odd number, it resulted in a miss. Yellow Snow Do not eat. ---SUPPORT--- Tangled Christmas Lights Chuck the ball of tangled lights at your opponent. Roll 1 6-sided dice. If odd you missed. If even, your opponent can't move for one turn. Examples A Hit Hitmon rolled 1 6-sided dice: 4 Total: 3 (1-6) 4 is an even number, so it hit! Your opponent cannot move for one turn. Except by the time your opponent frees themselves, the lights are too smashed to use again. A Miss Hitmon rolled 1 6-sided dice: 5 Total: 5 (1-6) 5 is an odd number, so it didn't missed. Your lights bounce and roll off to one side before a group of forest critters run up and steal the lights to decorate their own Christmas tree with. Carol of the Bells It's a bell. Ring it and restore someone's HP by rolling 1 8-sided dice. Example Hitmon rolled 1 8-sided dice: 7 Total: 7 (1-8 ) Hitmon has healed somebody for 7 HP, either themselves or another person. The bells cannot miss

Having decided to take the red door he hoped to find his friends inside. With a deep breath the basilisk opened the door, his heart racing as Liannan hissed to him what was inside. NOTHING...well at least nobody anyway. There was stuff inside the place was just empty of people. Sepheran felt himself shiver slightly...perhaps he had chosen the wrong door after all. He hated the thought of going on alone...but it seemed to be the case. Maybe if he waited around a little while longer another student might appear...maybe. At least...Sepheran hoped so anyway. If not he'd just have to hope for the best and try and make it through alive.
Another deep breath and Sepheran stepped inside shutting the door behind him.

Well...seems like he was the only one here. He even waited a few hours to see if there were anyone behind him who choose this route too, but it seemed like he was alone. Taking a deep breath Sepheran along with Liannan set forth on their owns. They could only go forward and face what they had to by themselves. The Basilisk could only hope his new friends would make it through alive as well. Maybe he'd see them when he finally got back out of here...

"Grab the loot and get out...easier said then done..." Sepheran whispered to the white snake Liannan on his shoulder. He didn't even know what this "loot" was. Could have told him before he went in couldn't they? Sighing softly to himself he tread carefully in the workshop, not quite sure what he would find.

Sepheran had to admit as he was exploring the area...for a workshop this place was unusually quiet. Now...to be honest he never been to a workshop before, but he had to think that a workshop would be busy...was this place not the actual workshop but a trap instead?! Sepheran shivered at the thought...he still had no choice but to continue and hope for the best.

With a quiet groan, Johan opened the door and entered cautiously. He didn't immediately see the ghoul who'd entered before him, but he did see a somewhat scaly boil sneaking about. Making a quick check for enemies, Johan slipped over to join him.
"Any luck finding vhatever it is Hellma vanted us to take?" he asked, though he could see the boil didn't have much with him, just a white snake on his shoulders.

Sepheran nearly jumped at the arrival of another student who came over to join him. Had it not been for Liannan's warning of course, so luckily the basilisk didn't make much of a fool of himself in front of some much appreciated companions.
"I don't even know what we are looking for, but nothing of interest so far...and this place has been quiet...it's odd," Sepheran replied in a hushed whisper. "Makes me think they might be up to something..." he added lightly.

Johan noticed that the boil looked like he'd seen a fight or two. Considering that he was right about it being too quiet in here, he decided that it would be best if he were to heal the boil before anything attacked them. Be prepared. Sparing a quick glance at the snake to make sure it wasn't going to bite him, Johan gave his bell a quick ring over the scaly student.
"I vouldn't doubt it." he replied, keeping the bell in his hand. "This is their last chance to defend themselves."

Christof crept in quietly, eyes scanning through the gloom for any sign of an enemy. At the sound of voices, he creeped forward, raising his crutch to bludgeon one of the whispering figures but froze last moment- Johan!
Lowering his weapon, he limped close to his new acquaintance and the serpant-like student with him, nose wrinkling at all the scales. It seemed everyone was alright upon examination. So far so good, right? Just... creep in and take out whatever it was that lay inside!

Peering around the workshop, Mei caught sight of a few students who had found their way to this area. Only a few, so her guess was the rest of the students decided to explore the other doors. Not that it really mattered to her at all, she was just hoping to grab whatever it was they came for, and leave.
Having most of her health lost due to previous battles, she figured it was best she recover her health.. After all, she wasn't sure if something would await them or not.

Tybalt continued to slow his pace, bringing himself to a walk. They were getting so close, but right now, he felt as though they were in the most danger they had experienced so far throughout the entire raid. Why? He wasn't exactly sure... Maybe it was the fact that if he were to compare this experience to a game, they would be coming across a boss right about now... After all, there was always a boss battle right before you reached the goal. Though whether this would be true or not, he was unsure of. He hoped not. But what were the chances?
He continued to follow after Mei and Night, when he spotted a familiar face. "Oh? Oh hey Sepheran!" He called to the fellow Oblina member; quite happy to see that the basilisk was still alive and well. He had thought that all of the members of the Oblina group had separated and gone and had taken different routes. He didn't expect to meet up with anyone of them now.

Hmmm. Johan examined his bell, wondering why its effect seemed weaker this time. The scaly boil had barely been healed at all. He tried ringing it over him again.
Movement caught Johan's eye, and he tensed, expecting an attack. But the shambling figure was only Christof. So the hunchback had followed him? Johan looked behind him for Amrita, but there was no sign of the ghoul. He looked back to Christof, teal eyes questioning.
"Amrita?" he asked, whispering. Just then, he spotted the ghoul he'd followed in. It seemed she'd been doing some exploring of her own, and they're growing number was soon added to by a black dog-like boil.
"Sepheran?" he repeated, looking to the scaly boil. "I am Johan Klarstein, and he is Christof. He cannot speak."
He gestured to the hunchback, figuring he'd save the undead boil the trouble of introducing himself.

In answer to the magician's question, the hunchback lifted his hands into cupped almost-but-not-quite horse's ears, making a whinnying grunt before pointing back the way he had come from and bending the finger to try to indicate another door. Suddenly, though, he realized there were more students coming and with a flush he lowered his hands, feeling foolish. He was confident that Petro would keep the undead Ghoul safe, though. There had certainly been more students there than here-
That was when his eye caught porcelain in the dim light of the workshop, cracked and worn but still hard and smooth as milk. What kept her animated? Was it fear? Was there something inside? Even as Johan introduced him, he didn't realize he was staring.

Glancing about the boils in the room, she was uncertain to which was 'Sepheran', but she would no doubt find out by their reactions. Sure enough, the introductions soon followed. Sepheran, Johan, and Christof. Now that she thought of it, she was positive she had seen the trio throughout the whole trip. Oh well. More students, meant more strength. No doubt, they would need the aid.
"Pleasure." She spoke, before turning to Tybalt. "This is Tybalt, but be warned, he has fleas." Obviously lying, as ghosts carried no such pest; she twisted around to see if Night had caught up yet. "Hmm.. The boil that was with us is Night," Turning back to face the group, she gestured a wave to them. "and I'm Mei-Xiu." Now that she thought about it, Night was right behind them. What happened to him? What could be taking him so long?
Catching sight of the hunchback staring, she couldn't keep from glancing back at him from time to time. "Umm.." Rubbing her arm, a little self conscious, she finally gave in. "I'm sorry, do I have something on my face? A-aside from the crack.." She asked, reaching to her face, as if to wipe something off.
