I was thinking (while at work listening to a coworker go one and on about a book I had gifted her- she was used to a "certain type of pagan book"...wont go into detail but its usefulness was questionable)- why don't we start a sort of book club/circle/review discussion forum. Think of it like ordering a book online, most people would read a review and get ideas of what the books about, how useful it is, what its good and bad points are, ect. The more dedicated posters are usually well-versed in books they have used/read, and it might be fun to share ideas and opinions about them.
Anyways, I was wondering (those of you still awake out there), would you be interested in this?

That would be pretty dang cool to me! Wish I would be able to contribute to it for sure, but I'd love to see what others have found.

(This guild to me is like crack to an addict. I check almost everyday if someone has reposted.)
I would like to start and maybe we can develop a format for reviewing books.
Let's start with a popular one, maybe least liked too.
Title: Solitary Witchcraft Author: Silver Ravenwolf
My Rating: 2/5
Reasoning: I feel like this book it meant for teenyboppers and older teens. [No offense to those who are an older teen (15-18 ).] This is for someone in middle/high school. I cannot fathom how it can truly be called for "the New Generation" when it doesn't reach out to everyone. Yes, it is a misleading title, but beyond that, there isn't much to this book. Take all the rest of your Pagan 101/Wicca 101 books and there you have it, plus whatever you feel that your books do for you.
I'm beyond the 101, so I feel no real need to read it, but for the curious, I read it for them. If you have never read a book, how can you say you don't like it/hate it.
End Comments: I think this is a book to purchase for less than half the price, but take it with a cup of salt. I don't like how she writes and I don't like that this focuses on kids rather than new age thinking. Nuff said.

That was GREAT! Exactly what I was hoping would be posted! Now...I just need to make the forum for it...perhaps we can store it all in the "Library" sub? I can't post tonight, but perhaps tomorrow night I will get cracking on posting some book reviews/comments smile

*snort, cough* Huh, hrr, what? Oh hey. I like this idea, and definitely in the library. Now that you mention it, I also had the idea of a subforum to move the Sabbats threads to, since those topics are frequent. (I know, it's been a while rite?)
