My username USED to be 'Yamimaru Reina'... for those of you who did not know.
I know I haven't been the best captain, I didn't ride you all into posting but... I realize that if you aren't inspired to post then you aren't going to enjoy it when you do. In my time as a role player I've figured out there are two ways to kill all inspiration and drive to write:
1. Someone nags you to write when you aren't quite ready
2. The story dies because everyone is in the same situation of 'writer's block'
So, forgive me if I didn't push because of that.
HOWEVER. I find that its a shame not to revisit the subject.
As a whole, we ALL deserve the right to give our input on what we should do with this. As I've decided to get this ball rolling let me start by saying I am not necessarily pushing for the disbanding of the guild. I think that we had a strong plot, strong characters and most of all quite a few strong writers to keep us going.
I see that we have three options ahead of us.
1. We call it quits, disband the guild and go our separate ways as writers (at least for now...)
2. We continue the story as it stands and work around the loss of whatever members are no long interested.
3. We archive the story and use the guild to start a brand new world and get off to a fresh start.
Personally, I want to see options 2 or 3 come into play. I've written with you guys long enough to see that we have a great dynamic. No one is out to turn the plot their way... and everyone understands the value of plot integrity.
I don't want to sway anyone to choosing my personal options. But if calling it quits is truly the best option for this guild then we will accept it as a group and move on.
I want everyone to weigh these options seriously, because you all were an integral part of a story that I joined so late I felt a little lost. If you don't care to participate any long, that is up to you... and I bid you farewell and hope that we can write together and meet again in this large world of the interwebs.
*bangs my gavel*
Now, let the discussion proceed.
What do YOU think we should do, and WHY?

Oh wow... I didn't think that anyone would be doing anything of this sort here! I've kept this guild because I can learn SO VERY much as the captain of my own guild just by reading how issues were dealt with here by Jade, you, Heaven's and Clover!
I actually think the RP was declared dead, though many of us were unhappy to do it. Did you read the last few posts in the OOC? It looked pretty grim for the future.
At this point, I'm pretty sure Heaven's is unable to RP at all. She's been super busy in college. It's been pretty much the same story for me, too. Though i do have time (just barely!!) to be a captain, it's always a huge juggle!
Jade had so many plans for the story... We used to talk for hours on end... during all our breaks at work, and lunches, on days off whenever we hung out, MAN, it was the CONSTANT topic of conversation!
I always knew way too much for a non crew member! Haha!!
So, I'm really not sure. I'll bet that a lot of members won't notice this right away, though... SO, don't give up if you don't get answers quickly!
That never was our strong point after all... heh...
OH, and you prolly don't recoganize me, but it's because of the achievements! I'll have a male avi again eventually... AND I'll put my cyborg stuff back on, too...!

I'm just hoping that everyone will give their input equally, not just say it because it was already decided it was dead.
Nothing can really DIE without consent from all parties... so I figure that so much time has past that we can likely revisit the situation with a fresh eye.
I'm hoping to get a few responses, at the very least.
I always found that posting was made easy by setting aside a time to do it, rather than just avoiding it. I understand real life getting in the way, because my usual writing partner has been away for QUITE a while on his own school adventures.
What I've truly noticed is that, even when someone is busy and can't get to it... if the desire to game is still there the story will live on.
Thank you for your input, and though it pains me I am inclined to agree, the story we have is dead.
I do have ideas for a new world... should anyone be interested. I kind of stole it from a world of my own that went dead...
and let me tell you, the reason it died was because every member in it was out for themselves. Not because of lack of interest... but because the role players decided their character was more important. Conflict... yadda yadda.
I find that revisiting an old idea with fresh eyes is a good kind of fun.

I'm up for either keeping this one going or making a new one. I barely got to participate in this story before it went under. I had.... maybe four posts.
I agree with you that sometimes revisiting an old idea can be fun.
Sorry I'm not very long winded like you guys, but I just don't have a lot of fluff to add to 'let's move on and continue to rp'.

Hey All, it's been so long since I last came back to Gaia - much less looked at this.
I have to say, since Jade dropped TFTS - it was pretty much my last tie to Gaia and I just died.
I do remember having alot of fun with this though, I still get those urges to want to RP lately.
I graduated recently so I have alot more free time now too.
If you guys wanted to do something, I'd highly consider jumping on the bandwagon.
That said, I haven't read a single post in this thread yet, or anything on my Gaia account for so long so I'll need to do that.
I'll check back occasionally to see if this is going to go anywhere though =)

I am in agreement.
So my idea is an experiment. Don't get discouraged by the fact that this is also an idea that failed before, because the failure of the story was due to the fact that I personally knew every writer from my personal life... have known them for years and all of them were selfish when it came to this story line. Everyone wanted their character to steal the spotlight and it was ultimately what caused the end of the game.
I've noticed the in this story everyone coexisted peacefully and i think that that is what will help the story move along. I'm not saying we wont have difficulties with development, that goes hand in hand with any story.
I don't have a definite plot line thought out because hey... its so much more fun to see what you guys come up with. And this pitch is not set in stone, so feel free to suggest tweaks.
My pitch is this:
A great cataclysm befalls the land, man having destroyed himself and leaving the world in chaos and disrepair. From the ashes, three beings come forth, to blanket the land in creation and fix what humans had done to it. In the wake of creation, the surviving few humans repopulate the Earth under the watchful eye of the three Creators. They hope that humans do not follow the same path of war and destruction, as is human nature.
A side effect of the battered lands is that the human realms are collided with the realms of other, more powerful beings. Elves, Demons and what have you. The humans sometimes are born with magical abilities... extra strengths and the ability to do far more than their pre-apocalyptic ancestors.
At first, the realms of humans are ruled by the man (or woman) elected most capable of leading the tiny colonies. Over time these families evolved, becoming monarchies and occasional dictatorships. Leading up to to now, where each realm is ruled by its own monarch. When the first fires of war ignite between the beings, the Creators frown upon this fated path and create new beings... to be considered almost Demi Gods at their strongest and unleash them to balance and protect the world.
They are born as any are, and raised of their own races... but one day, whether work or leisure, they are brought together from the four winds.
The idea is that we all play these characters, who try to defend their worlds.
One of the ones we tried was that Greek/Roman mythology was meshed in and some of the enemies were actually sent by those Gods.
Feel free for input on ANYTHING. Enemies, changes, etc.

BOO!
Bahahaha, I bet you all thought I was gone for good!
It's true that college life is hectic for me, and I recently had a rather long break from Gaia, but I'd be down for playing out a new plot. I like the sounds of that plot. Funny story, I actually just remade an old role play of my own (on another account). It was one of my first role plays...if not the very first, and I can't wait until things get moving (sadly it's taking time for people to notice it, which is making me sad).
Anywho, I agree with what has basically already been decided. If it had been suggested that we restart the old role play I would have declined. I loved my characters and had so much more I wanted to do with them, but the role play IS dead.
However, I do really like this idea and I would totally be willing to jump in with it (already have a basic character idea mushing around in my brain!).
For those who aren't aware, I'm Heaven's! ^_^ Nice to see you all again!

Ah. The trusty vice cap returneth.
In any case, there are minor rules that go along with the character.
I like variety, so I don't want you guys to repeat a class/ability unless you absolutely have to. Also, be creative with your race choices. (I really don't wanna see Vampires or Lycans....)
In the original version of this game I was an Elf who was ability to manipulate time. We had a ton of anthros.... not really a big fang of those but I'm willing to work with anything.
I also like an even amount of male to female characters.
Again, I like variety but I'll work with anything.
I'll start work on archiving all the old threads and I'll post up a thread for batting around character ideas and such.

Who be the trusty vice cap? *Is confused*
Anywho, I'm totally game for this. I don't mind playing either gender, just so everyone knows, though I am partial to playing female characters.
Can't wait to get things going again. ^_^

I had planned to make you my vice captain, in the even that you wanted the post XD
So, I posted the synopsis in its own thread.
We still have to fill the role of the third god.
Sheraedan and I have claimed the first two.
Anybody interested in the last one?

*Snugs* Sweeeeet! ^_^ I'm down for being your vice cap! ^_^
Hmmm, I might take that third god. Although I'm having a toss up...'cause the concept I have in my head for a character works better as one of the children.

Hellou~ I'm Back! (again) and one of my friends intends on dragging me back to Gaia with this cute little cafe roleplay we've tried to start like twice and failed. I also finally got to reading everything and there's little I didn't agree with.
I do have to say though, whether it's having the limelight or not as long as we get input it'll be fun. I mean, being a semi-evil character is ALWAYS FUN as it seems I've been reglated to more often than not lately~ I still like being in the "Hero Party" though to some degree, otherwise it's hard to get interaction otherwise on the almost non-existent 'dark side' mostly consisting of NPCs ;D
I also have to agree I loved TFTS with my many evil plots in mind but dead as it is, no point in beating a dead horse owo.
I'm partial to female character as well, but since my long ago once upon of time I started roleplay, I am happy to say I feel I've matured and advanced alot, and also some time ago acquired the almighty extinct ability for a girl to play a guy - YAY!
Anyways, sorry it took me so long to notice, I'm game =D I'll check up every Saturday from now once a week until this picks up and then return daily or frequently to participate =D
Also, I'm lovin the sound of the third god but letting ideas roll around in my head right now - if it's not snatched up I'll take it ;D I presume with our little party it'll be necessary for us to have multiple characters again eventually won't it?
So what have we in mind by the way? Beasts of Legend... -> Children of Myths? I will brainstorm new titles while I'm at it too owo! How exciting ^^

I don't really wanna be a god, but I would LOVE to be a truly EVIL character! I have one in mind... That I rp elsewhere... And would be, well, VERY interesting to say the LEAST to give him supernatural abilities... Heh...
