Desma gawked her mouth hanging open as she watched the thing, whatever it was cross the street. The brown haired teenager jammed her silly flapped winter hat down on her head and press the power lock, locking the doors. She was sitting in her mother's Honda , bright blue eyes wide in horror. How was it that she'd gone this long living in Destiny City without ever seeing a monster, and now this was the second one in...when did that snake-thing attack? She tried to remember and couldn't think, her eyes focused on the sweater-youma.

She'd been "grocery" shopping, the backseat of the car covered in bags of different junk foods, and of course a box of her favorite food, cinnamon graham crackers. On her way home from the corner store, one of the monsters crossed her path. This one looking like a giant, stretched out, red holiday sweater. Th neck gaped with teeth that were gnashing and looking for something to eat. The thing looked like the top half of a human dragging along on the snow covered ground.

Desma wasn't exactly sure what she should be doing, the thought that if she tried to run it over it might die crossed her mind and quickly left, the last time she'd seen one of these things there was a huge earthquake -caused by -something. She was sure that would go over well with her mother, she'd be grounded without ever seeing television, or the outside of her dorm room again. Darlene Heisse would probably ask the Seminary to put her on triple chores.

"What do I do to kill you," she growled, not wanting the thing to hurt anyone.

"Over here!" It wasn't like the cat had planned for this to happen, but the aggravated sigh that escaped the senshi's lungs made it sound like that had been 100% the case. How was she to know she'd end up sensing a senshi nearby after managing to rope Iris in for a simple patrol? A youma would have been more predictable. Fortunately for the senshi, one of those was around too.

Where some senshi might have been cautious about the whole ordeal, the tall girl just walked out from behind the alleyway corner. "So... now I have t'ask... why th'f*ck is it a sweater?" She planted a hand upon her hip and just stared rather plainly.

"So... what'cha want me t'do, Cat?"

The manx padded out and squinted her eyes as she looked in the direction of where she could sense the senshi. "The youma is attacking the vehicle she's in."

"Duh!"

Ignoring the commentary, the pale cat continued. "I'd need you to either lure her out, or distract the youma long enough for me to get her to take me in the car..." She was about to turn to face the tall blonde to give her more information on the plan, only to find that spot that had been occupied before was now vacant.

There were some things that would never change, it would be Sailor Iris acting before thinking. The moment she mentioned youma and distracting it, the feather-butted girl was all over that. She rushed in, fists all balled up, charging at the red blob of material.

The cat sighed. "...that girl..."

The red sweater continued to drag itself towards the source of energy it sensed, something was in the car as it pulled itself along hungrily. It was like the Christmas sweater from hell; Desma was going to have to explain to her mother that perhaps putting on the sweaters Aunt Fay sends every year for Christmas just might kill her. The youma was close to the passenger side of the car.

Desma saw motion out of the corner of her eye and caught a glimpse of the girl rounding the corner of the alleyway and she cringed. Des wasn't exactly one to go out of her way to talk to people, but the girl could be in trouble if she didn't see the sweater-thing. She saw how much effort it took the oddly dressed man to kill the snake, Des did not want to see what one of the monsters could do to (what she thought was) an unsuspecting person.

Inhaling trying to collect herself she quickly unlocked the car, opening the door a crack she peaked her head out, ridiculous winter hat flapping in the wind.

"Hey, hey girl! There's a monster-sweater! Big fashion faux pas!" She called, and then noticed that the girl was heading towards the monster. There were feathers and ribbons flowing out of her clothing and was dressed as strangely as the girls on television were. The brown headed girl was trying to recall what the news called them, besides terrorists.

"You're- one of those..those people from the news! I've seen them on the grainy security videos."

Her eyes returned to the youma that was starting toward the brightly dressed senshi. Desma debated slamming the door, but couldn't bare the idea of it attacking someone else while she felt she was -safe- she stumbled away from the old Honda.

All the senshi said was a simple "Blah blah blah" as she passed the girl who more or less warned her and mentioned the fact she had seen the news. Who hadn't heard of the senshi these days? Seriously?! Not paying much mind to the girl, one of the senshi's balled up fists punched into the relatively shapeless monster. Though she made contact, the thing she found rather odd was the fact her assault seemed to do nothing. To make matters worse, the red material seemed to actually latch onto the fist that had made contact.

"Oh f*ck!"

Miraculously, Sailor Iris hadn't screwed up completely. In fact, she had managed to get that girl out of the car somehow, which meant this whole ordeal would be a lot easier. In a rather enthusiastic tone, the cat mewed out as loud as she could, aiming to grab the girl's attention. If eyes were to fall upon the manx, the girl would notice that the feline's head seemed to be motioning towards the safety of the alleyway.

If anything, it would be a good hiding place.

Desma shut her mouth, the fluffy-butted girl didn't want her help, fair enough.
Des did what she felt was her part in the scheme of things, she'd warned the supposed unsuspecting citizen, who was apparently not.

All the brown haired teenager could do was stare as the other girl's hand seemed to vanish into the mass of fabric. What on Earth could create something like that? Were the monsters created? Or were they born--how were they born? She was backing away from the scene slowly. Her attention was pulled away from the senshi and monster by the sound of a cat crying.

"Kitty, you shouldn't be here," she inched toward it, "you could get hurt, there's a monster-thing." Was..the cat motioning toward the alley? She laughed, that was ridiculous, no matter how many crazy things she'd seen this week, there was no way a cat was smart enough to motion anywhere.

As Sailor Iris seemed to flail a bit after the youma latched on, the cat padded into the alleyway. She glanced back every so often to make certain the short-haired girl was following her. She mewed almost urgently one time as her paw kicked away a piece of plastic wrap straying on the ground.

However, when they were out of the sight of the red monster, the cat turned rather promptly and sat her haunches down. If it was possible for a feline to have a serious look upon her face, the one in front of this teenager definitely had one.

"I wouldn't be so worried about me... you should probably be more worried about yourself. However, I think I have something for you that may help out." And now, the cat sat there waiting. Waiting for the usual IT'S A TALKING CAT reaction.

Thinking that it was probably the safest bet to enter the alleyway, anyway, Desma followed the little cat into the alley way...

Sweet Jesus it was a talking cat!

"There's no effing way," Desma stared at the TALKING CAT, "You can..you can talk..you have something for me?" She just stared wondering if she'd actually heard right...heard anything at all. Desma blinked dumbly at the feline.

"You're not a monster too.." it was more of a statement than a question, but if the cat chose to answer that was perfectly fine.

With a slight chuckle, the cat jokingly offered "Oh no... I am not a monster. I am far too cute to be a monster! ...though, Iris might disagree with that statement!" The eternal senshi really did have a high opinion of the cat. Really.

Still laughing, the cat stood her rump up again, and then padded forward two steps. Her body braced itself, then rather suddenly did a back flip. It was nothing graceful, and honestly not even all that impressive. It just seemed like some sort of toy springing up mechanically. Yet when this toy did the little back flip, something appeared beneath the space she jumped over. That something (or rather, those somethings) clattered to the ground.

"Uh... this one... take this one for now." The manx padded to the two objects and nosed the one that seemed like a novelty pen. "Take that one, and then shout out 'Gomeisa Power Make-up!' Do it with meaning... please..."

Iris? Oh, perhaps that is the chick that ran after the monster earlier, she was..pleasant.

Desma watched the manx curiously, the human was of the same agreement that yes, the little cat was far too cute to be a monster. But then again a rather darling sweater was currently wrestling with the senshi just outside of the alleyway. She laughed at the rather comical spring action movement the cat made as it flipped backwards.

"Bravo!" she chuckled and resisted the urge to clap her hands. She looked down her eyes resting on the two strange new objects. She wanted her to take the pen?

"This one?" She bent down and picked up the henshin pen, "When in Rome, I guess." Desma murmured.

As she looked at the odd little pen she muttered, "Gomeisa Power Make-Up." Nothing, zip, nodda. What was she thinking would happen? She looked at the cat expectantly, taking a deep breath she tried the phrase again.

The sudden feeling of the cool air against her bare skin and then being wrapped snugly in something overwhelmed Desma as she looked around. Her baggy sweater and jeans had been replaced by a tightly fitting outfit, her doc martens-sensible shoes- replaced by something with a heel. She staggered backwards and leaned against one of the walls. The tiara on her head teetered and slipped down her face. She fixed it with a gloved (Gloves? Where'd they come from!) hand.

"What in the hell was that cat? I'm..I'm one of them?! I'm Sailor Gomeisa." the title felt silly and at the same time to fit perfectly.

********* was even fooled for a moment when it took a moment for the transformation to kick in. However, considering the sphere of power that this senshi had, it made sense why there'd be a bit of an awkward pause at the beginning compared to most other smooth transformations.

As the girl pressed her back against the wall, the cat padded forward. "Yes, you are Sailor Gomeisa..." There was a small pause, as if the manx was debating on mentioning the sphere or not. However, she couldn't let the senshi go on in ignorance. "...Senshi of Failure."

As if the sphere wasn't a big deal, the feline padded back towards the edge of the alleyway, only to see what seemed like Sailor Iris flailing about still trying to get what seemed like a haunted sweater off of her. "At least this thing doesn't seem to have teeth..."

"Why th' hell are ya standin' 'round there, ya dumb a** cat?!!!! I can't do a damned thing with it on me!" At this point, the shapeless mass of yarn, or whatever it was made of, had managed to latch onto both of her hands, completely handicapping the eternal senshi.

Failure...failure...

"Failure?" she looked to the manx, but the cat was already heading out of the alleyway and back to the other senshi and youma. Desma..no Gomeisa followed slowly.

"Even without teeth it's rather bloody, frightening," she muttered, "Is there anything I can do to help? L-last time I saw one of the monsters die a guy beat it to a pulp with his fists."

"I don't presume think that'd work with this one, eh?" she looked as it wrapped itself around Iris. She stood their staring, a pinched look on her face. She felt like a lumberjack that was thrust into skimpy dress.

Despite how Iris was flailing and calling out for assistance, the feline chuckled in a humored fashion. "Alas, I think that is what caused Iris to be in the current situation! She really does prefer going in, fists a'swinging!"

"NOT HELPING!!!" the other senshi shouted out as a reminder that she was still being eaten in a sense by a red sweater.

"Oh, right..."

The cat turned to the new brunette senshi, green eyes seeming filled with a confidence that was almost comforting.

"Sailor Gomeisa, we will need your assistance. I suspect if we can get the sweater off of Sailor Iris, she'll be able to take care of this Youma without any problem. She won't be so careless this time..."

A sarcastic little laugh filled the air following ********* statement.

"I need you to aim for the Youma. When it is in your sights, clap your hands together and call out 'Gomeisa Fail-Safe!' Do that, and I think we can wrap this up!" The feline sat her haunches down, as if readying herself to watch the show.

Fists a swinging indeed. Desma -Gomeisa was always patient but this new experience was pulling at her it was all so surreal. The cat was something of a comfort, so much expression in her mannerisms and eyes, Sailor Gomeisa felt assured that she wouldn't fail, she would be able to help the other senshi.

Stepping forward she teetered in the heeled boots.

"Gomeisa, F-fail-Safe!" She clapped her hands together, blue eyes focused on the ridiculous holiday sweater. To her astonishment a wave of green energy pulsed forward toward the youma.

"Did it work?" she asked curiously.

At first it seemed like nothing was going to happen, and the attack did nothing. Then the sweater's attack, gripping Iris' hands, well, failed. It released her hands and slithered creepily to the snow covered ground.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 02, 2011 10:58 pm

As the red youma fell limp to the ground, the senshi flailed a bit to the side. "God... get off'a me!!!" As the cat had predicted, there was no hesitation, no pause in her actions. She tightened up a fist quickly which began to glow. Whipping that hand to her side, it all of a sudden flicked out what seemed like a rainbow whip.

"Iris Rainbow SLICER!!" Her arm sharply thrust the attack at the now useless youma. If a red sweater was able to scream, it probably would have been doing just that. Yet, it merely seemed to writhe in pain as it was cut in half by heat. The red soon enough burned through until it was nothing but a strange black dust.

The feline's chest seemed to puff up proudly, though who had managed to make her proudest was to remain a mystery. However, she eventually turned to the short-haired brunette with a grin. "I believe it did, Gomeisa. I believe it did."

She watched Iris in awe, at her attack, and the way she quickly dispatched the youma once it was away from her hands. Could all senshi do that?

Gomeisa was revolted by the sight of the sweater as it died..do they die? She had so many questions, the senshi wondered if they would all be answered. She blinked, looking at the black dust in the snow, it had done exactly what the odd snake youma did, turned into a pile of odd dust, like it never existed at all.

"Do they all turn to dust? Where do they come from?" She stepped closer to the pile, and Iris hesitantly.

"I have so many questions, what, why, how?" she muttered looking between the cat and Iris.
