i apologize if this is an over done topic.
i just was wondering if anyone could tell me which book is better; Genki or Elemtary Japanese. they both seem very similiar but i'd appreciate a more detailed comparison. i would be grateful for any help and again i am sorry if this is an over done topic. thank you.

I haven't looked at Elementary Japanese, but I like Genki for their organisation of teaching grammar.

I have not heard of the Elementary Japanese. I have however seen the Genki books and used them to learn. I like it as well for how they organize the grammar and the vocab.

I've never heard of Elementary books, but just as the two posters before me said, I think that Genki is a solid, well-organized book that will serve you well.
