To be honest, Siha hadn't yet done any sort of guide work yet. Well, she was learning where all the shrines were, and practicing the paths that were slowly being established between them, but part of her still worried that she wouldn't remember everything right, or someone would have a question that she couldn't possibly answer.
Flopping on the ground near the more 'common' area of the pride, she let out a great sigh after studying the shrine locations. More were being built every day, it seemed, at a rate that she couldn't quite possibly keep up. "I gotta find a better way to remember this stuff," she said with a defeated tone. There had to be a better way.

Finally. The lion sighed in relief as he finally came back to the more common part of the pride. The paths to the shrines were still being formed and while he didn't have much problem finding his way by the stars, walking in the daylight was sometimes troublesome.
At least he had made it. Raiquen nodded and sat down to relax and watch others at work when he noticed the other guide. Silently he watched the guide before finally moving to stand beside her, "Having troubles?" He asked with a faint smile.

She jumped a bit, startled as she hadn't realized that there was someone so close to her. Oops! "Oh, sorry! Yes," she replied. "I'm just having trouble remembering where all the shrines are." And there weren't even too many yet. Memorization obviously wasn't one of her strong points.
"Might you have any tips to share?" she asked with a bright smile. Anything that might help her, even something small, would be better than what she was working with now. A brain with too many holes in it to hold onto the information. She giggled with that thought, and her eyes widened. "Er, sorry. Brain is running off without me."

Raiquen smiled with faint amusement before nodding, "Ah. There are a lot of them, I don't blame you for having trouble." Growing quiet again the lion looked around. He needed to work on memorizing the paths himself. Not many liked traveling by night after all.
"Tips?" He blinked and looked back over to the female, "About finding the shrines?" He looked up at the sky thoughtfully before smiling back at her, "It's okay. I normally follow the stars though." He frowned and looked back at her, "Do you know the paths of the stars? For daytime travel I usually rely on some sort of unique path marker. Like a tree or a certain rock. But at night the stars guide me." The lion grew quiet again, he wasn't used to talking so much.

Siha's ears popped up. Oooh! "Markers! Brilliant!" There was a plan that would save her after all. "Maybe I can ask Salma if we can set up little markers...something unique that's obvious..." She didn't know what might be possible. But he obviously had something started, if he could think of markers.
"Sorry...excited," she said with her ears pinned back in apology. "Do you prefer to do your work by the starlight?" There might be some visitors that preferred the night to the day.

Startled Raiquen quickly looked up. "It's-It's okay." He managed before letting out a soft chuckle, "Maybe you're right. Would it be possible to have symbols on the markers to represent the shrine that the path would lead to?" It was an idea and the more the lion thought about it, the more he found himself liking it.
He nodded. "I'm much better at reading the night sky for directions." He paused before hastily adding, "Not that I get lost often during the daylight either!" Sheepishly he looked away before shaking his head. Jeesh.

Oops. Siha needed to not let herself get too excited. "That sounds like a good idea. Perhaps you or I should bring it up. It might make things easier, especially when the number of shrines increases..." She knew she'd learn, but just thinking about the possibilities made her a bit dizzy.
Siha took a moment to calm herself, because why should she worry about things that might not happen for a while? Blinking, she looked over towards Raiquen again. "I'm sure it's really pretty," she said quietly. "I think I'd trip all over myself if I tried to work in the night. I bet you do just fine," she answered with a small smile. She really liked it here, and liked those that she worked with.

"Mmm'hmm." The lion looked over at her, "I wouldn't mind it if you wanted to be the one to talk about it." He laughed, "I could always go with you if you wanted, but I don't believe that I'm too talented with explaining things."
"It is." He looked over at her with a smile, "Yeah. Maybe one night I can show you? Like a lesson?" Raiquen looked away sheepishly, "You know, just as a guide helping another one out a bit. Sharing knowledge and such."

Siha was so grateful for the help. It just proved to her that she didn't need to be so worried, or put herself down so much. There were others around that were willing to help her. She was learning this as she started to ask. She had brightened up immensely since running into Raiquen, and knew that it could only get better if she'd just keep her chin up.
"Oooh! I would love to see what the pride looks like under the starry sky. I think I would love to do that, and you wouldn't get us lost like I would!" She laughed, knowing it was true. At least these were safe lands, and so far, quiet. "Perhaps tomorrow night would do?"

Raiquen watched the lioness with a smile. It seemed that she was feeling better now. He was glad to see that. "Great!" He laughed at her last comment, "Don't worry you'll be able to navigate in no time." He nudged her gently before nodding. "Tomorrow night would be fine with me." In reality he was just as excited as her. Teaching others about the stars was one of his favorite things to do. It brought back so many memories. Raiquen closed his eyes before looking back to Siha. "So I guess that I'll see you then."

Siha nodded. "Perfect!" She was really looking forward to this. It would be nice to see the world in a different point of view. And hopefully develop her skills as a guide.
"How about we meet here? Right as the sun goes down." That way she couldn't be too late. Her tail twitched with excitement, so grateful to have so much help.

He smiled happily at her enthusiasm. It was good to see others wanting to learn. Just like him. Knowledge was a beautiful thing after all. The lion nodded, "I can do that. So tomorrow night it is then." Raiquen turned and took a step forward before pausing and looking back at her, "I'll see you then, Siha!"
As he walked away the lion couldn't help but to smile to himself. Not only had he gotten a new friend, but one that he could teach! His fellow guide was definitely an interesting one for sure. The thought made him chuckle. Tomorrow night would definitely be something. Hopefully he could be a good teacher just like his own mentor had been.
Hopefully.
