At sick bay 2, a man in dark sunglasses walked up to the door. He had scrounged up some chocolate pudding from the kitchen for her, as well as a few other chocolate, and carried them in his left hand. His hand had already been treated and bandaged, covering the burns and bite mark. The x-ray had showed a few cracked bones, but it would heal up good as new soon enough. For now it was good enough to knock, which he did.
The doctor answered, having just finished his rounds on it's occupant. He eyed the grunt briefly and then noticed the pudding and chocolates. "Are you here for Agent Cal's birthday?"
Panther was surprised, it was her birthday? He hadn't known. "It's her birthday?"
The doctor nodded and let Panther in. "She's still asleep, but you can see her."
Walking in he nodded and walked over to Cal's bedside.

Everything was dark.... How long had she been out? Cal had only a opened her eyes once, before the surgery, before she was put under again. Now she was numb and in the dark. Her body did not ache, she felt calm and peaceful, but there was something off. What had happened? From searing pain to nothing, she was confused in her post surgery sleep.
But she did remember something. Someone had saved her from her agony. Surely she would have died from loss of blood if Panther hadn't saved her. A soft sigh released from her parted lips. Her left hand tested it's motor functions. The broken girl began to stir out of the darkness of her mind.

Walking over Panther took a seat next to her, setting the puddings and chocolate bars on the bed. She looked better then she had when they came in. He couldn't see the gash on her stomach, but he knew it would leave her a scar. It was his fault. They were supposed to have been together during the raid, but he had let himself get caught up with that woman.
The explosion wasn't supposed to happen.
He shook his head, he couldn't have predicted it, but still, he felt like he could have prevented it some how. They were there to steal pokemon right? And yet, during the raid two, at least, had died. He had heard news that everyone in team rocket had managed to survive, but Cal was not the only one in critical condition. She was the only one he had visited so far, and this wasn't the first time. A small collection of candy bars and even a bag of potato chips, had formed on the table.
Suddenly movement caught his eye and her perked up. "Cal?"

"Cal?" Someone was calling her from the darkness.
A loud groan filled the air as Cal was soon in the world of the living. She hadn't really thought she died. Rockets probably didn't get to rest peacefully. Her left hand reached up slowly to rub her temple. Her right didn't budge, but wracked her body with pain. She winced, slowly opening her eyes. Well, on eye at least. He left eye was bandaged up in white gauze as a makeshift eye patch. Dear Arceus! Did I loose an eye!? Her immediate pain turned to panic as she felt the gauze on her face.
A thunderbolt tail appeared beside her bed as a Raichu hefted himself up to Cal's side, ignoring Panther for a moment. "Rai?" He worried over her, it was such a relief to see her awake.
Cal's began to calm, taking in her surroundings. She was hooked up to an IV in the Rocket's hospital wing. Her right arm as in a cast and her abdomen felt as if it burned with the intensity of a thousand suns. She winced once more, the pain killers seeming to take affect just then.
She shifter her sore body to Skye, patting him on the head with a shaky hand. She spotted Panther next to her bedside, the on who roused her from her sleep. "Panther?" She uttered in a course, cracking voice. He mouth tasted vaguely of blood. "What happened?"

She was groaning, but she was awake. He caught sight of a thunderbolt shaped tail, and he idly wondered who had let the pokemon out of his ball. His focus didn't stay on the Raichu long. "We had one hell of a party." He joked, letting himself grin in relief.
When he had first seen the eye patch he had worried she had lost an eye. It took him a bit to remember the large gash that had been on her face. He had been a little preoccupied applying pressure to the worst of the damage to notice it. Now he didn't think to realize she might be concerned the same as him. "How are you feeling?"

"That was some party then." Cal tried to turn to face him, sit up even, but she felt restrained and a sharp pain run through her. The monitors quickened with her heart beat as the display's line jumped up and down. She gave up her little struggle and laid back in the same spot. "Well," she listened to the monitor slow at her heart's pace. "I feel like hell. " She did her best to smile through her watery eye.
She looked around the infirmary, "I assume we're back at base." Her eye wandered the room from where she lay. Her room was quite besides the hum of her own machine and the constant rhythm of her heartbeat. "Are you alright?" She couldn't really see much more than his face.
Skye, having found his human ok, went over to great Panther with a rather loud "Chu." He hadn't seen him since he evolved into a Raichu.

"I'm alright." he nodded. "There was some kind of explosion and I must have ducked. I wasn't hit, and neither was the girl I was with. But when i looked up you were against the wall.... " he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. She was ok now, but the memory of her laying broken against the wall like that. "Blossom is in the pokecenter. She's ok, but she should be doing anything strenuous for a while."
He didn't noticed the Raichu at his leg until he was done telling her. He reached down and patted the pokemon's head.

"That was some explosion..." She reminisced, a little fuzzy on all the details. "Oh! Blossom!" She almost screamed, "I want to see her..." she moved a few futile inches before giving up. A few tears spilling from her eyes. "It's all my fault.... I should've been out of there sooner..." Her bandage covering her eye became heavy with tears. "I don't like it here.... I want to go to my room..." Though try as she might, she wouldn't be able to leave. Not for a while at least. The gash across her forehead and the wound in her abdomen would be the worst of her problems. The broken arm, she could live with for a while.
Skye sat back on his haunches nudging Panther to get him to help her.

"Calm down, Cal. It's ok, Blossom is fine. She faired better then you." he pulled the hand from the raichu to put on her arm. "And you'll be fine now, just give it some time." he understood her worry for her pokemon. He didn't realize till now how lucky he was that Shade was a ghost type pokemon, immune to explosions.

Cal stared at the ceiling for a few moments, drying her tears. "That's good..." A few more moments passed without her saying a word. "I-I'm sorry Panther.... I must look like a complete fool." She turned her head and smiled to him. "I guess these bandages are just proof I need to shape up!" She laughed, but it seemed hollow and forced, much like her smile.
But she tried to keep the facade. "So how did everyone do? How did I get out?" Truthfully, she remembered all up until Panther hefted her up on the giant bird pokemon. Panther was her hero. Her face grew red hot and the monitor was a tale tell sign of her embarrassing thoughts. That only made her heartbeat speed up it;s pace. Arceus did she wish she was still out.

"I got you out on Swiftwing. But you aren't stupid. It's not your fault there was an explosion." he frowns a bit, looking at her. "It got a lot of people, Nadja, and a few other agents got caught in it too. They all made it through ok, but they will be out of commission for a while." He sighed thinking about it. He didn't want any of his team members dying.

She released a sigh of relief, only to stop short from the pain in her abdomen. "It's good that no one died." She didn't even want to think of what happened to Mau and everyone else on the mission. "And thank you for saving me." A smile grew on her face out of pure admiration. Her brown eyes scanned the ceiling; she too would be out of commission, but for how long? How bad were her injuries? She worried most about her bandaged eye...
Her stomach growled rather loudly, "Um..." Her face grew hot, "Is there anything to eat?" She reached for the remote allowing her bed to move up a few comfortable inches.

"Oh I brought you some chocolate pudding. Happy birthday." he perked and grabbed the pudding, reaching across his body for it and handing it to her. He realized it might be a little difficult and held onto the cup for her.
"And you are welcome. It was no big deal." he hadn't thought twice about what he had done to save her. He didn't think it was anything to be applauded for, they were teammates and he hoped that someone would come saved his skin if her were in a similar situation.

Cal gave Panther a questionable look. It couldn't have been her birthday today, was it? "Thanks...." She thought about it for a moment. "But how'd you know?" She was sure that no one besides her superiors knew that, and they surely wouldn't care so much as to tell others.
She reached up for the spoon with her hand slightly shaking. It took all of her concentration to dip the simple spoon into the cup and feed herself. That spoonful was absolutely delightful. The best pudding she'd ever had, or maybe it was just being the first thing she had eaten in a while. "This is really good." A wide smiled spread on her face.

"I am magic man." he grinned at her, sticking the tip of his tongue out. "You know I never did get that dance you promised me. You need to get better soon." He teased her, having decided she needed some cheering up, more then delicious Chocolate pudding.
