So yeah, theres going to be a Dragon Quest for the 3DS.
Problem is, nothings really been announced, not even whether it's a port, spinoff or new game.
So, what do you think this 3DS Dragon Quest will be?
I'm guessing that because of the lack of release in some places, it'll be DQVII

I personally would love to see a port of Dragon Warrior VII as not only was it the top selling Dragon Quest in Japan it was the top selling PS1 game there as well. Also as most PS1 die hards like me know, the chances of getting a game like that are slim, although I would be completely awright with any other port or even a new game altogether, although the 3DS seems to be about remakes (yay, Starfox 64!)

I'm willing to bet it's either a port of VII or a spinoff. I just hope it's backwards compatible. I'm hearing different things about whether it is or not. If it's not, well, I might just get a 3DS if there's a good DQ on it.

A 3DS Dragon Quest, eh?
I can't help but wonder what would be improved by making it 3D somehow. Dragon Quest has a very classic interface and such... What could be changed? Just blingier graphics?
I applauded DQIX for not falling into the DS trap-- putting in extra clutter that uses the DS hardware because they could. But what traps would the 3DS bring...?

Looks like this is going to be a remake of Rocket Slime..
Nothing against the non-main series, it's just VII had so much to offer with a remake and just the fact that VII would have been remade would have caused such a big positive stir, that almost all the Japanese PSX owners would have rushed to buy a 3DS. Also, it's virtually the same graphics as the Zenethian remakes, it's not like they wouldn't have any issues with the remake. But ah well, I guess the decision isn't mine, and I'll still buy it if/when I get a 3DS being the loyal Dragon Quest/Warrior slave I am.
