She kept her hand up against the door in a small little fist while she held Octavian Oswald between her other arm and her chest. No one had answered the door yet and she had stood there for a good minute! The small child could only wonder why no one had answered the door. And wonder she did, there were so many things that could be stopping someone from answering the door! Maybe her sister was tied up to a chair being held hostage by wild bears who insisted she have a tea party with them! She knocked again, a little louder this time.
She waited and waited some more but no one answered the door. She finally took her small hand away from the door and used it to hold up one side of Octavian Oswald while holding up the other with the hand that had already been holding him. She tilted her head at him, one of her braids swaying as she did so.
"Where do you think she is?" She asked her plush bunny.
Moving Octavian Oswald to her ear, she nodded her head.
"Bears you say. That was my guess too."
Holding her bunny close to her chest, she stepped closer to the door and up onto her tiptoes. She leaned close to the window that was now just within looking height and peered in, putting her nose up directly to the glass. She squinted, but she could not make anything out in the frosted glass that was used for the window.
"I..." She mumbled. "I don't see anything."

Bell was returning home after a particularly interesting meeting, and a small detour.
Truth be told, she had never been told when her little sister would arrive, and like Bell had said before, she wasn't about to put her life on hold and play 'stand by' because her father and his people couldn't be counted on for s**t. Soshen she saw the little girl on her porch, she wasn't too surprised. Nor did she have to wonder just who it was. Still, you know what they say about assumptions, so Bell called out;
"Ainsley?" Bell tightened the scarf around her neck - it was cold, and was surely going to snow again.
Luckily in the days after receiving the letter about her, Bell had prepared the spare room. It was sparsely decorated though - she figured once Ainsley was here they could go shopping and fill it up. Just like earlier though, she wondered if she'd be forced to do some holiday decorating as well. Bell hadn't bothered with a tree or anything - she thought it was a rather frivolous thing to do, and didn't see much of a point in putting something up just to take it right back down again a few days later. It wasn't like Bell had many people in her house that would even see it if she put it up, and she wasn't planning a Christmas party. In fact, she was rather bitter towards the holiday.
But alas, if the child wanted it, then the child would get it.

Ainsley made a small squeak in surprise when she heard her name being called. At first she looked down to Octavian Oswald as if she was expecting him to have been the one to have spoken, but it wasn't. No, it was someone behind her. She tightened her toes together and slid her nose off of the glass before she put her feet back on the porch. Who else other than her plush bunny knew her name? Curious about who it was, she slowly turned around until she was facing a woman.
"I'm Ainsley." She said with a small smile as she twisted her fingers into Octavian Oswald.

"I'm Bell," and she was not good with kids. At all. "Sorry, no one ever told me when you'd be arriving. I hope you haven't been out here too long."
bell was getting out he key and unlocking the door, pushing it open for Ainsley to go in first. It was an old house, and a little drafty. The floors were a bit creek-y too. Bell flipped on a light, and one could see that it was also very clean and sparse in decoration, aside from the furniture and a few photos on the wall. Bell didn't own much. In fact, her own room was probably the most decorated of the house - Ainsley's room was soon to be next.
"Would you like me to show you your room, or are you hungry or..." sigh, Bell didn't know what to do~

"Hi Bell," she said as she nodded to her. She hadn't been there long at all, and it was even sort of nice outside! She watched as Bell opened the door and waited for her to go in. She didn't go inside right away though as she took a moment to peer inside of the house creek-y house. It wasn't long and after a moment she hugged her plush bunny tightly and stepped inside. It was rather bare, not at all like her mother's home or their father's.
"It's so clean," she said as she continued to look around. It was not at all like her mother's place in that sense either. Ainsley could recall how much her mother disliked cleaning and prune-y skin.
A room? Food? Ainsley didn't even consider the option of having a room and had completely forgot about eating in all of the excitement. It was generally a difficult decision! To her, there was only one option: discuss it with Octavian Oswald! She leaned in close to her plush bunny and whispered into his floppy ears. Then she put him to her own ear and then smiled as she replied to Bell.
"I'd love to see my room! Octavian Oswald said it is good to settle in before eating!"

Seriously? confiding in a bunny plush? Bell really didn't understand kids. At least maybe her choice of a giant bunny plush in Ainsley's room was a good one.
"Alright then, head that way and go up the stairs," Bell motioned which way she was to go. "It'll be the first room on your left."
She trusted that the child, in her excitement, would dash right up there. Bell was content to follow at a normal, if not slightly slow, pace.

Ainsley listened to the directions Bell had given her and after already hearing it was okay for her to go up there, the small child moved forward until she got to the stairs. She stared at the steps. The first step was the hardest as her eyes made sure she didn't over or under estimate the gap between each. Her mind set, the small child grabbed the railing with one hand and skipped up the steps with haste until she got to the top of the stairs. Now at the top of the stairs the child carefully explored around the corner to the left.
She found her room and it was no surprise that the first thing she seen was a giant plush bunny at the foot of the bed. She didn't even react, no, she had already flung herself at it and nestled into it with a rather affectionate hug.
"I'm Ainsley," she announced to, bowing her head politely before tucking it under the bunny's own. She listened, and the bunny addressed her, giving his own name. "It's nice to meet you Prince Constantine Cyprian," she said before she pulled out Octavian Oswald from between her and the larger plush bunny. "And this is Prince Octavian Oswald. We are new here, please take care of us."
