Okay, instead of a novel, I'm thinking of doing a series of short-stories. Here are a couple ideas for the work that may be entered into the collection.
More to come.

Oh, short stories are great. You can actually get them done.
Anyway, I really like both your ideas- I have seriously never heard of either one of them before. They are so, refreshingly original. I am not a fan of dark things, but the idea of death as a being for a short time is just... incredible, really. Poems also make a powerful statement at the end of a story. I have not read the specific poem you mentioned. This just has so many opportunites for depth, dynamics, symbolism- you could turn it into such an award winning classic, really.
Your second idea is also incredible captivating to me- I find Norse and Greek myths so interesting, and I would love to see how your technologically advanced humans end up becoming old legends.
(honestly, I think these are way too good. I would seriously take them off the site, so no one could steal them- they're gold. But, thats just me and my paranoia of stolen ideas.)
If you ever want anyone to read Twilight of Asgard, I completely and totally volunteer. I also promise to not take any of your ideas. The End of Death- not so much. As brilliant as I think that idea is, I completely avoid anything I think is too sad. But you still need to write it.
