Burning Bright is the type of phony that is always moving about and traveling around even though he doesn't often make his presence known. Proper, modest, and generally quiet, Burning Bright has assumed the life of a part-time wanderer and most-of-the-time parcel delivery-phony in his adult days. It is a challenging and often times rewarding job doing what he does, and there's not much that can beat the look on another phony's face when they receive a much-awaited piece of mail.

Burning Bright faces his duties with a rigid sense of diplomacy and manners, seemingly to avoid angering customers and possibly anyone else he meets. One's first impression of him can often be described as neutral at best, and perhaps icy or unfriendly at worst. Truth be told, he himself may be a little nervous around other people or phonies for reasons unknown. He is hesitant to open up to others and it is unknown whether or not he has many friends.

Despite this, if you ever meet Burning Bright it is often easy to glean at least one of his life's loves. The pegasus is absolutely obsessed with the sky, and one of his greatest joys in life is derived from studying the stars and participating in late night flight sessions to burn off stress. He knows all about the heavenly bodies, space, and anything that has to do with it. He is quite skilled at using the skies as a navigation tool and employs them frequently in his travels. This subject is one of the few things he's ever been known to gush over, and it's obvious to tell why, judging from his cutie mark.


Strengths

Proper
Burning Bright always does his best to uphold a polite and respectable outward appearance and demeanor. No matter what kind of people he is dealing with he will generally treat and approach them with a rigid sort of etiquette that can appear somewhat snooty on the outside, but is never really truly ill-meaning. He hesitates to smile at times, which does not help with the snob factor, but he's not usually trying to be a jerk. He is all for quiet kindness, modesty, and good manners.

Knowledgeable
This pegasus has a fairly extensive library and possesses an almost unicorn-like affinity for reading and gaining knowledge. A lot of it is travel-based, and he also loves reading about space, the stars, astronomy, and weather. He also like to pick up on the customs of different people and phonies so he can be better equipped to deal with situations in foreign places if he's needed to deliver something to places faraway.

Punctual
Being a delivery phony, Burning Bright has an almost obsessive need to always be on time, and he is. So far, he has never delivered a package late, never missed any deadlines, never let slip any of his duties. This extends on a personal basis as well. If he makes an appointment for any sort of thing, you had better expect him to be on time. On the same coin, he often expects others to do the same, and can get a little bit irate if they fail to meet expectations.

Reliable/Responsible
Another thing that comes from being a delivery phony perhaps, Burning Bright likes to think of himself as someone who can be trusted with important items or tasks. He will often go above and beyond to get his job done, whether it's braving bad weather or other extreme conditions. If there's something he needs to do, you can bet he'll try his damndest doing it the correct way in order to obtain the best possible results.

Flaws

Aloof
Burning Bright, at a glance, can be taken as a very closed off creature, emotionally. He does not smile often, and can seem unfriendly or cold. In place of a jovial attitude he approaches most everything in his life in a distant, cool-headed kind of way. Though there are a lot of things that ruffle his feathers, you won't often get a very radical reaction from him unless he's pushed hard. Otherwise it'll usually receive his poker face. This is a somewhat serious issue for him because he often bottles up his emotions and is more than hesitant to express himself in any sort of extreme way around others.

Impatient
Even if he doesn't show it openly, there are a lot of things that get Burning Bright's tail in a knot. Messiness, bad manners, sloppy eaters, idiots, you name it. If someone's acting obnoxious, it's more than likely they're going to get on BB's nerves, even if he acts like nothing is wrong. An easy way to tell he's peeved is if he politely but quickly takes his leave of a situation. Sometimes Burning Bright will share his opinions in a terse but quiet manner, but you'll never see him yell or lash out.

Withdrawn
Burning Bright has always been hesitant to openly indulge in 'fun' things or make lots of friends. When it comes to such, he is very careful of who he chooses and tends not to open up until he knows someone quite well. If there is any fun to be had, he likes to enjoy it in his own quiet, observant way, and isn't really one to make too huge of a fuss; you don't always have to scream and shout when you're having fun, after all. Unfortunately this can make him seem like a bit of a killjoy.

Burning Bright lives in a sizable house in the mountains, away from civilization to make viewing the night sky a bit easier. It's a roomy, two story home that's kept incredibly organized except for the attic, which is cluttered with books, star maps, and other such things. This is his hobby area, the only spot he'll allow any sort of disarray. The rest of his home is full of bookshelves (where the books are kept when they aren't being used or borrowed). His collection isn't too extensive, but he's always looking to lend something out if a phony shares any of his interests.

He has built a balcony out from the attic; he uses this spot to use his telescope on nights that are clear and free of clouds.
