Majime was sitting near a large tree. She rested one paw on the thick trunk and she stared up into the branches. For such a young pup, she had so intense a look in her eyes she seemed older than she really was. The only thing that gave her away was her small size. She ran her paw over the bark, feeling its texture and noting as a few bits flecked off under her touch. She got up and circled the tree, examining ti from every angle with an acute interest. The tree seemed all right to her. She'd made it her duty recently to check up on how the plants were doing around here. A few sapling seemed to be withering because of the colder weather, but she thought they'd come around. Once she was satisfied with her checkup she sat down and sprawled out. She watched the activity of the pack drowsily, her eyes growing distant as she began to think of other things.

With each passing day Pegasus spent more and more time at the shrine, learning all the secrets of the spirits with her grandfather. She loved spending time with him and hoped to one day follow in his footsteps, perhaps even become a shaman herself. She felt at home when near the shrine, the area was so calm and welcoming. And that's wasn't the only thing to look forward to nowadays. There were new pups in the pack, those fathered by her grandfather...which made them her aunts and uncles as far as she could remember. It was a bit odd that she was much older than them, but Pegasus would never say anything negative about them ever.

In fact one of the pups had caught her eye, Majime, who seemed to be following the same path that she was. She had not spent much time with the pup yet but was bound to do so today. Pegasus spotted Majime under a tree thoroughly inspecting it's bark. Padding over to where the small pup sat Pegasus flashed her a smile before sitting down beside her. "Hello Majime." Glancing at the tree for a moment Pegasus looked over it carefully to see if she could spot what had drawn the pups attention so earlier but did not see anything out of the ordinary. "Everything alright with the tree?" She asked as her eyes returned to the pup.

Majime blinked when she was spoken to. She was half asleep by this point and hadn't even noticed the older wolf approach. She blinked and let out a large yawn before shaking herself and looking at her. She recognized her as being related to her, though Majime didn't quite understand it. "Hullo Pegasus." She says in her quiet, almost musical tone. She stretched before she stood and glanced at the bark when questioned about it. "I was just checking to make sure it was doing all right. Nobody pays attention to the plants and I thought someone should. This one is doing all right." She says and pats the big tree with a soft smile. "How are you?" She asks and settles back down again, checking Pegasus out for a moment to see if she was all right before her eyes drifted to the grass at her paws. She seemed a very dreamy wolf, but kind and caring. She hadn't had any talks about a potentiality becoming a shaman or seer, so she knew very little about it. So, at the time, she wasn't particularly looking into it.

Pegasus smiled at bit at the younger pup. It was good to see someone so young who cared about nature as deeply as she did. Though the comment about nobody paying attention to the plants made her chuckle a bit. "That's not true. My father cares deeply for plants, that is why he spends his time gardening, so he can watch over the plants and make sure that they grow healthy. But it is good that you are also keeping an eye on them."

Lowering herself onto her haunches Pegasus took a look around at the other trees and plants that surrounded them before returning her gaze to Majime. "I am doing well. I will be heading down to the shrine later, grandfather has been teaching me plenty about the spirits but I fear that I feel sometimes I cannot learn fast enough. I do with to be like him one day." One day she would know most if not all the secrets of the spirits and guard them like her grandfather did, one day she too would be the kind of patient and loving wolf that he was.

Majime blinks at this, her ears tilting forward. "Oh. I didn't know anyone else cared about the plants." She says curiously and wags her tail some. She seemed a little more focused now and she looked at her relative with interest. "I don't know much about these spirits and things, Mommy or Daddy hasn't said much to me so far." She says honestly. She sounded a little frustrated, but then the negative emotion gave way to curiosity. "Can you tell me about them?" She asks and wags her fluffy little tail. She'd heard people mention these spirits and other religious things, but no one had sat down with her yet and explained things to her. She was very curious about everything and wanted to know as much as possible. She also really waned to meet Pegasus's father, who, she supposed, was her sibling. He sounded like someone who would be interesting to talk to.

"You should talk to my father sometime, I bet he would love to share his knowledge of plants with you." And Pegasus had no doubt in her mind that was true. Her father loved to talk about plants and share them with others, surely Majime would enjoy any lessons she could gleam from that. Majime's next question made Pegasus pause. How could she explain the spirits to the pup when Majime had no knowledge of them yet. What had grandfather said about them on the first trip to the shrine.

Pegasus glanced off in the distance as she thought. The spirits were complicated things and she could not rush the answer just so that Majime could know things. "Well the spirits are..." She began her explanation and then realized that what she was about to say may be too advance even for Majime. Giving her head a shake Pegasus quickly thought of another explanation. "Think of them as wolves. There are good spirits and bad spirits, just like there are good and bad wolves. They cover all aspects of life, like hunting and plants, much like wolves tend to plants and go hunting to feed their families. There are spirits that like the quiet and others that love lots of sound and noise around them." Giving her head a nod Pegasus was quite happy with how she explained them and hoped Majime would be content with that. If not she would expand on the subject a bit more, but she at least would now have a generalize basic idea of the spirits.

Majime's eyes brightened at this. She would definitely talk to him if he liked plants as much as she did. Her little tail gave a small wag before going still. She was very curious to hear everything Pegasus had to say. After all, Majime wanted to learn as much as possible. Her whole being seemed to brighten at this talk and it was making her fidget a little with excitement. While the young pup may be quiet and introverted by herself, she opened up when engaged in conversation. She was actually quite cheerful and inquisitive, but the only problem was she tended to blend into the background, unless, of course, someone noticed the odd pup in the corner examining roots.

But when Pegasus began to talk about spirits she really got interested. her brow furrowed in concentration and her ears were angled towards her. Her tail twitched ever so slightly and she seemed completely focused on the other wolf's words. When she finished, she didn't say anything for a few minutes as she digested this information. Finally, she said, "Ah...So...These spirits aren't visible? What are they made from? What do they look like? Can you talk to them?"

Majime was just full of questions now wasn't she? Pegasus admired that in the younger pup and was beginning to think they would get along just fine if she kept it up, perhaps even better than some of her siblings who didn't think the spiritual path was all that exciting. She took a moment to think over the questions posed to her, though sadly she didn't have all the answers that Majime was looking for.

"Well...I'm not sure what they are made of. I haven't actually seen a spirit yet. But grandfather says they don't always show themselves, they make sure you are a good wolf before revealing themselves to you. Much like how newer wolves in a pack don't always open up right away, they need to feel like they can trust those around them before showing their true form. As for what they look like...from what I understand they take many forms, so you don't always know what they will look like." Tipping her head in thought Pegasus tried to think back to all her lessons. "Yes you can talk to them, but they don't always reply back to you with words, it can be an action or sometimes silence."

Pegasus let out a slight sigh. "I'm sorry, I don't think I have all the answers yet. There is still so much that I need to learn."

Majime listened intently, nodding occasionally as she spoke. She began to puzzle over this new bit of information. So, these spirits seemed like they were very powerful beings. "Do they know a lot? How can you get them to trust you?" She asks again, looking around while she did so and wondering if any were nearby. If they were, she wondered what type of impression she gave them. Was she a nosy pup? Or was she someone to take interest in? She was curious to know, but she was curious about pretty much everything. She squirmed a little on the ground and looked at Pegasus with bright, intelligent eyes. She was starting to like her a lot, since she seemed to know a lot of fascinating things. Which of course the young pup would have to try and find out about.
