In the Role-playing forum, does it necessarily have to be about a game, or can it slightly branch off?

I was just curious. I was thinking of doing a Final Fantasy kinda thing, but I doudt there's a whole lot of Final Fantasy fans here....
If not the FF one, then i was gonna ask, make a list, and try and make something depending on what sounds better to roleplay. Any ideas, thor?

There are quite a few FF fans here actually (me being one). I don't get involved with the RP but I do enjoy reading them. The worst thing that would happen is noone will post (happens a lot anyway...) and I think that a FF RP would be very interesting.

Any ideas, thor? i love final fantasy but unfortunately i have only played XIII...but i hope to change that. but as Pudder said there are many FF fans here...although i do admit they may not post in the forums that much...(like many others) as far as other ideas go i can't think of any right now. but Note: We already have a High School of the Dead role-play (Zombie Apocalypse Related) and a Neon Spartan rp (Halo related)...but the HOTD rp is dead so there's one idea......a Zombie Apocalypse rp

I didn't mean to exclude people. What I meant to say was there isn't many FF fans active. My bad. sweatdrop
And about you only playing FF13, thor, all the FFs are different in some way. Some involve crystals, some involve war, some involve a "dream". If a FF roleplay was created, it could be anything really.
If you wanna learn about the FFs, I can tell you about some of the series and probably search up the rest of the ones I don't know.
By the by, out of all the more active members and you guys, who would be willing to stay committed to it until it dies out due to boredom, acutally making it to an end, or whatever other reasons of the RP ending?

Well see...the reason I don't RP is that I really don't know how. I've read through a few (including the spartan RP) but thought I would just look like an idiot. However, I have played nearly all of the FF games (from one to 12, Crystal Chronicles, Tactics) so I would try my hand at RPing as I know a lot about the FF world. If I enjoy RPing then yes I will stay committed to the end. If not then someone can find a fun way to kill me off (I won't quit until there are a good number of people to keep it alive)

I think you should try Rping.....when deathkidjr and I started the High School of the Dead roleplay we had never role-played in our life...nor had i read any other rp's and i think that turned out pretty well...other than the fact it died...

i'm definitely down for a ff rp but same as thor i've not really played any ff games cept ff tastics and dissidia deathmatch, and as far as idea's go i can name a few.
resident evil, jak and daxter series, star wars battlefront, metal gear solid, midnight club, need for speed, devil may cry, pokemon, medal of honor, call of duty, and samurai warriors.

LOL! A NFS RP, huh?
Example: Dots of sweat populate my face as I prepared to do the impossible. The world seemed to stand still as I slammed on my brakes and swung the steering wheel to the left. The sudden stop and turn hit me like a sledgehammer. The scenery around me raced itself back into reality as it blurred once more. I caught the surprised look on my opponents face from the corner of my eyes as I performed a perfect drift through the passage way alongside his drift. A perfect twin drift on this treacherous mountain path. A rare sight indeed and insane to perform.
If I were to RP, I'd like to construct my very own world and populate it with the imagination of other RP members. Every weapon, armor, landscape, town, kingdom, monster, etc would come together to produce a magical experience for all who join. A medieval kingdom could wage war against a technologically advanced space faring civilization using powerful ancient weapons to fend off repeated invasions.

Shonenjj123 dev you ever heard of dynasty warriors? plus am down for samurail i've heard of it and played the demo of the very first dynasty warriors, and for me a samurai warrior rp would be amazing and i'd probably stay by kojiro sasaki's side or miyamoto musashi's side.
