I'm in Canada, and some of my friends and acquaintances ask me why I talk more about U.S. news than Canadian....
I've responded by saying whatever happens in the US affects us here in Canada.. whether it be currency, or imports, or even just being right beside them.
I know there are many more points I could bring up.. anyone else want to help me out here?
><
btw, I just read "Billions for the Bankers" a 40 page article on The FED, but my copy I have is focuses on Canada's system, whereas the others I've seen online are all focused on the U.S. (If anyone wants to see this version, I'd gladly send it or upload it somewhere to share..) Anyway - it was a very good read on the economy and how the financing of countries happens and how it's completely destroying our country... I think it was a good precursor to me reading Creature from Jekyll Island. Most people, however, don't want to spend an hour reading something like this article. Sad, really... I don't even think I could get my husband to read it.
how to deal with people like that? what to say?
k, happy holidays ppl - if you celebrate that shizz~

the econonmy has goten better ( in the u.s anyways) people are buying houses again, and jobless claims have gone down, but your right, whatever happens in the u.s effects our neighbors ( canada) to be honest i think the world should be more worried about the euro debt crisis ( because spain, ireland, greece and some more are completely broke, and frace isnt fairing much better)

Yeah jobless claims have come down because they're not allowed to claim anymore.

Azkeel Yeah jobless claims have come down because they're not allowed to claim anymore. Yeah, even if we have jobs - we're hardly livin' it up since the cost of living pretty much takes two incomes and a tremendous amount of 'cutting back on ___' in order to afford necessities... It still comes down to a shite market in need of a reform of some kind.

People do it everyday; they just have to cut back on flashy electric gizmos and other assorted cheap plastic crap.
