Mau had his files in order. A formal report for review, the data he and Nyx had gathered. Finally, this could all be put behind him. With this submitted, it would no longer be in his field, and off his desk forever.
He was still in his lab coat, and as per his usual, not in the traditional agent uniform. Not that he looked unkempt as many out of uniform rockets did. Quite the opposite in fact. He was nearly immaculately dressed with pressed slacks, a silk red pinstriped vest, red tie, and black shirt.
He did, of course, make sure that his clothes were smoothed and lint free before reaching up and knocking on Nadja's door.

There was an answering "Bwurf."
"Moloch," a female voice called. "Here." With a snort, heavy paws receded from the doorway before something large and heavy flopped down. There was a faint "Good" and a happy "Rrroh." "Come in." This last was pitched for the person at the door.
Mau would find the elite's office just as he had before, with the very significant difference that the gigantic Arcanine that patrolled her office wasn't waiting to snuffle through his pockets. Instead he was sprawled out beside Nadja's desk, watching her intently as she shook a Pokeblock free from a holder and flipped it to him. White teeth gleamed, Moloch went 'snorf,' and the treat was gone.
Nadja looked up at Mau and offered a cordial but expectant smile. Her Pokemon raised his head too, tail thumping hopefully as he sniffed the air for hints of berries.

He stepped in and closed the door. "Ma'am. Moloch." He greeted with a solute before taking a few long strides to reach Nadja's desk. "It seems we've isolated what may well be the key factor in the incident with experiment 3A0-24R0." He said before setting the folder lightly down on Nadja's desk.

The Berry Man was here. But Moloch was comfortable where he was, so rather than move he craned his neck and followed Mau across the room with his nose, sniffing all the while. Sour, spicy, sweet - all ghosts of berries that the lab coat had carried, but none of them vibrantly there-right-there! now. The Arcanine whuffed resignation and continued to watch him, still mildly interested.
Nadja, however, looked much more interested. She turned her chair to face forward and reached for the folder, flipping it open in a slim hand. "Do tell," the woman murmured, scanning thoughtfully down the paperclipped pages inside.

Mau began to explain that he and Nyx had been going over the data when a spike in the P033R levels had spiked, reaching 9001 before the system failed and began data redundancy that only reprinted the data from previous days, allowing the experiment's growth to reach unstable levels. And with a short in one system, it wasn't long before others began to follow suit until the pokemon had gained consciousness and was able to break free.
Oh course he hadn't realized he'd begun talking quite so passionately about having found it. But this has been plaguing everyone for months. It was about time that it was off their plates.

The elite both listened and read, giving quiet hums of acknowledgement in places, but as the scientist got deeper in his explanation she began to flip through the pages with more intensity and interest. "This is good work," she said when he had finished, and meant it. "Very good. And an equipment error, not a flaw in the actual process." That seemed to come as a relief; an artificial system could be changed. Nadja shut the folder and put it on the side of her desk she designated 'See To.' "I'm glad you caught this problem-" A slight pause, while she searched for a name. "-Mau."
"Rauh," the Arcanine echoed from her feet, tail thumping on the base of her rolling desk chair.
"I don't believe we've formally met," the redhead added.

When Nadja started speaking, he stood up straight. When she spoke his name, he saluted her. Of course, it wasn't just he who had found the error. But, having said before that Nyx worked with him, as well as what the reports said, he obviously didn't need to remind her. His eyes flickered to the arcanine when it spoke, and he couldn't suppress the small upturn of his lips indicating his amusement.
"Formally? No, I don't believe we have." Which was quite odd, as he'd worked with her before. Not only did he work under her in the labs, having worked with her on the mewtwo project, accompanied her in the museum raid, and met with her after the charizard incident, they had not been properly introduced. Old habits kicked in, and with one arm folded gently across his body, just under the chest, he gave her a formal bow. "I'm Mau. It is a pleasure to finally meet you."
