Shedrawn cracked a blurry and salt caked eye open to see two whirling firelizard eyes gazing at him with expectant but suppressed urgency. "You expect me to get up, after you slept all night while I looked for you?" he asked with a wry smile. He got a calm confirmation that seemed equivalent to Yup. He sucked on his lips to make himself look like a fish and gave the flit a look. Isdrayon marched about his chest, completely ignoring him until Shedrawn raised an eyebrow. Then the little beast "sat" and pointedly stared at him. "Apparently it is time to eat." at his word the firelizard walked off, satisfied he had indeed aroused Shedrawn enough. And Shedrawn rolled sorely out of bed, only to retract his feet with a gasp when they touched the floor. "Augh they hurt, look what you did, he pointed at his foot empathetically, at the red swollen soles." The firelizard innocently looked at him and cutely cocked his head. Me?. Shedrawn rolled his eyes, his was a dangerous firelizard, he couldn't stay mad at him for long. He looked at the firelizard again. Food? the liitle bronze creeled his patience used up.
At thid urgent demand Shedrawn sighed and resolutely placed his feet flat on the ground. Walking wasn't bad... if he limped. And so he went the bronze clinging intensely to his shirt as he walked to the kitchen, where he had spent quite a while, looking for the lost flit. And so he was greeted warmly to "You found the little critter!" from almost all the people who had been there the night before. Shedrawn couldn't help but grin.

Mercy had spent another night with little sleep - but she must be getting used to them because she didn't have near the same trouble getting up as she normally did - or perhaps it was the overwhelming hunger that got her moving so quickly. That was likely the more probably option as she was greeted this morning with not only Aeriths demands for breakfast..which were as demanding as ever..but little Sunny's as well.
The tiny gold flit had spent the night curled up with Aerith..who'd spent the night curled up next to Mercy and now both sets of faceted eyes were whirling with the red tinges of hunger.'Please hurry mine..we are so very hungry' Aerith keened, a call the little gold took up as well.
"I'm hurrying,I'm hurrying!" She promised them both as she dressed in record time and then scooped up the little gold who clung to her shirt shoulder and chittered and scolded her for taking so long. 'can we go now mine?' Aerith asked hopefully glancing towards the door.
"Yes, lets go.. breakfast and then a good oiling for the both of you is in order I think" She told them both before heading to the door with Aerith at her side. luckily the white had gained a little bit of stamina in days since she'd been hatched and while she still tired quicker then her clutch mates did she could make it to the kitchens without having to be carried..a fact Mercy was relieved about. As they entered she noticed Shedrawn already there and waved to him.

Shedrawn looked up from stuffing Isdrayon's face at the movement in his peripheral vision. He lifted an arm to wave back, still with a gobbet of meat in it and the firelizard squawked indignantly at the abuse. Shedrawn looked between the both as the firelizard attempted to reach up and knabb the meat swaying back and forth with the motion of Shedrawn's arm. "Hey!" he called to Mercy over the noise. He swiftly brought his arm down and gave the flit the meat, before he launched himself at it. as Mercy got closer Shedrawn asked, "Hey who is that?", he politely indicated the creeling Gold firelizard. Before she could open her mouth he introduced Isdrayon before she could ask, as the firelizard was making such a racket now he had to bring some attention back to him so he could hear poor Mercy to begin with. Shedrawn grabbed another hand full of meat and proceeded to fill the waiting maw, giving Mercy a chance to talk.

Mercy grabbed some tidbits for Aerith, some smaller pieces for Sunny and even managed to snag a meatroll for herself before heading over towards Shedrawn and the little bronze flit he was angering with his waving and lack of attention.
Joining him at his table Aerith crooned a greeting at Shedrawn and eyed the bronze flit for a few moments 'Quite demanding little fellow isn't he' She remarked after a few moments with such an air of maturity that Mercy had to laugh the hatchling was barely older then the flit in reality"All young creatures are Aerith" She told the little dragon 'I suppose so' Aerith relented after a few moments though it was clear that she wasn't grouping herself in with the flits as a fellow young creature..of course she then turned about and did exactly what the bronze flit had been doing and demanded food as well. Mercy didn't even get a chance to eat her meatroll before she was busy feeding both the gold and the dragon. "Aerith said she looked like sunshine...so we named her Sunny" She introduced the Flit to Shedrawn "A friend of our's gave her to me"

"I know, Isdrayon was from Boreal and Cheer's clutch, but that night was such a fog, and then I had to go hunting ALL over the Weyr for the lizard which is what I considered naming him after I stubbed my toe on a large rock, looking for him. But Isdrayon just came to me and it stuck. Like glue." He drpped another piece of meat in The little bronzes gullet. "Good day Aerith," he remembered to greet the white. Isdrayon wrapped his tail round Shedrawn's arm and stared bck at the white dragon for a moment. Whiteclosecloseclose the little bronze "said" to Shedrawn in observation, he thought the little bronze didn't know wether to be curios or concerned. "It's fine Isdrayon, she wouldn't dream of disturbing you." Shedrawn comforted him. "Mock you maybe," Shedrawn added listening to Mercy's end of the conversation, "But never disturb you."

'I did not mock him' Aerith asserted her tone somewhat worried, as though she might be afraid her remarks had been taken in the wrong light. Aerith never liked to make mean comments about others...even flits 'I just said he was demanding..which he is' She declared and then continued on in case that wasn't enough to prove her case 'So is Sunny' and she crooned an apology to both Shedrawn and his bronze in case she had hurt their feelings
'It's fine Aerith, I'll explain for you' Mercy assured the dragonet, rubbing her eye ridges to sooth her. "Aerith is sorry, she didn't mean to say something that might be mocking, she merely commented that he was demanding" Mercy explained to placate the little white after Shedrawn had finished recounting his adventure in searching for the little creature. "Isdrayon is a fine name, Boreal and Cheer certainly had some pretty little hatchlings, Wykla got a lovely green from her egg, beautiful pale green shade"
Sunny mean while had picked up on the bronzes worry about Aerith and having stuffed herself enough that food wasn't her foremost thought she made her way across the table to sit by Aerith and prove the dragon was quite fine to be around, even safe...which was what he told him.

" I know Aerith, it was only the truth, I just like poking fun at him as he is impervious to it," Shedrawn laughed, and indeed at the the little queen's assurance, Isdrayon flattened himself out on Shedrawns lap, Even closer than he was before, to the white and drifted half asleep, one eye kept open for possible escapade opportunities.
"Really a green? She sounds wonderful." Shedrawn said. "I love that each firelizard, dragon and watchwher have unique colors it brightens up the weyr."

Aerith's eyes whirled contentedly as Shedrawn accepted her apology and she went back to her food with her typical gusto while Sunny, mostly stuffed at this point merely picked at the scraps the dragon left behind. Once they were done eating she'd have to oil them both Mercy thought to herself..but for now she could chat with Shedrawn.
"It doe's, doesn't it? Sort of like living in a rainbow when you see them all flying about overhead" She remarked.

He smiled, "A rainbow hurricane, that talks." He laughed again. Isdrayon curled in a ball on his lap. "Well he must be used to Aerith now or he would never sleep like that." Shedrawn gestured to the little bronze lump, wings neatly folded. He pulled out a tiny jar of oil that he had brought with him and began to rub it into Isdrayon's skin rythmicaly. The Bronze firelizard made a noise surprisingly like a purr.

"Most of the flits seem to get used to her pretty quick" Mercy agreed, though with her dragons sweet personality that wasn't all that surprising. he couldn't really think of anyone who wouldn't love Aerith..though granted she might be just a touch biased on that subject.
Having her hands free up some what Mercy wiped her hands clean and finally spared a look at her own food - which was of course cooling quickly, but she was starving herself and honestly didn't mind all that much. "Ah oiling..tis the never ending chore it seems like" She remarked between bites

"Better than pooper scooper duty," Shedrawn pointed out. "Did you have any hopes for a dragon color? Before Aerith of course, no one could ask for better than a white, it is just that they are so rare." He tried to diffuse any objections young Aerith would have to his questions, so Mercy could talk freely without having to worry about upsetting her little dragon.

"Truth" Mercy agreed with a laugh, anything was better then that particular chore and catching on to the fact that Shedrawn was trying to keep Aerith from getting defensive or worried about her answer smiled and reached over to scratch Aeriths eye ridges. "Well clearly white would have been my first choice" She told him playing along with the rouse to keep Aerith happy before continuing "But Other then that I wasn't really sure, I didn't want a gold...I didn't really want all that pressure, but a Crimson would have been nice" She stated with a slight shrug "I think I expected a green though, how about you? Any hopes for a future impression?"

"I think you are right, a crimson would be nice, but slightly awkward if she were to ever mate with a dragon who had a male rider." he blushed. "Well more than slightly awkward. In that light I would not mind a black, silver or bronze. But I'll tell you a secret, I like the brighter colors too, like blues and greens. In the end the personalities are really what matter, I wouldn't fancy too fiery a green though, too much drama. But one of the mellower ones would be good." He mused. "Most people expect greens because they are so common, I see nothing wrong with them at all, they come in such bright colors it is hard not to like them, but I worry mostly about the personalities, which if every dragon balances its rider or compliments them in some way I shouldn't. I really liked that little black this last hatching, such a troublesome little fellow."
