It wasn't unusual but it was uncommon for Kea to venture beyond Shambala. But she knew that she was leaving the city in the capable hands of her tribe. For some reason, she had this urge to leave, to go down to the plains and what? She had no idea. But she knew that it was better just to trust her instincts, they had never lead her wrong before had they?
Smiling softly, she crossed the frozen tundra, no longer affected by the cold weather. At least only moderately.
She reached the green forestry below the mountains and smiled as she discovered that in the outside world it was spring, her favorite season. All the beautiful flowers made her want to run around and play.

Ripari was wandering around the forest playing silly kit games like Kick the Stick and Tail Chase. Right now he was in the middle of a race...with an imaginary opponent. He wasn't crazy, he just had a huge urge to run, so run he did. He wove around the trees until he caught a pretty scent. Not slowing in the least, Ripari changed direction and charged towards the scent.
Ripari quickly found himself at the edge of a clearing full of flowers, then found himself in the flowers. He kicked up a few of them as he charged through the clearing and passed a blue, spotted vixen.
Wait, rewind that thought. Ripari came to an abrupt stop and whirled around, blinking in surprise. There was someone else here, and she was a pretty barage of colors like he was. Smiling widely, Ripari bounced over to the female. "Hello! Nice day, isn't it?" He asked, tail wagging wildly.

Kea had been walking through the forest, ready to start running when a blur zipped past her. She followed, or at least tried, with her eyes. Was that a fox? She blinked in surprise, if it was then it was an extremely fast fox.
"Oh....." It was a brightly colored male, much like herself, except the male part because she was obviously not....a male....She blushed at the train of her thoughts. He turned and she looked up, a lopsided grin on her face.
"Hello...." She answered back, "Yes....it's beautiful today...." She watched his tail going back and forth, back and forth, back and.....woah was that tail really going. Kea chuckled as she looked up at his face, "Where were you running in such a hurry?"

Ripari's tail stilled for a second as he tilted his head at her question. Then it quickly started up again. "Where? Nowhere. I was just running. It's relly fun; haven't you ever just run before?" He asked the female. Ripari thought she was really pretty, but he didn't even know her name.
"Oh, oops. How rude of me. I'm Ripari. What's your name, pretty lady?" He asked, smiling widely again. The tail wag was infecting the rest of his body and his entire back end was now wiggling about. He hadn't seen anyone for ages not since Kylar had wandered off.

"Of course i have...." She smiled in referring to just running to run, "Hm? Oh...." She felt heat rush to her cheeks. She was rarely called a pretty lady now that she was an Elder to be. "My name is Kea....It is a pleasure to meet you Ripari." She watched his tail in hyper active mode. She found it fascinating that he could wag it that fast and not fall over.
"Have you had a lot of sweets today Ripari?" She cocked her head to the side, she was just curious. He seemed....extremely excited about something.

"Hello Kea! It's great to see you. I haven't seen anyone in a long time. Not since Kylar wandered off on his own." Both ears and tail drooped at that, but Ripari was nothing if not optimistic. "When he's done exploring, I'm sure he'll come visit." He said happily, tail starting up all over again at the thought.
"Sweets? Nope. Just water and a couple of rabbits." Ripari replied. He gave the vixen a confused look. Why was she asking him about sweets. Did she want some? Ripari had heard some bees buzzing a little while back, so he could probably find the comb. "Why do you ask?"

Kea chuckled as she looked at the male, "Well i was just a little curious.....you seemed rather excited..." She cocked her head to the side. It must just be the foxes personality to be so excited. Which was fine with her. Far be it for her to judge someone for being excited.
"Who is this.....Kylar that you are speaking off?" She smiled, "Is he a relative of yours?" She frowned slightly. Maybe the fox was lonely and that was why he was so excited, "Did you need help finding him?"

"Excited?" Ripari looked back at himself and saw his tail going a mile a minute and chuckled. "I suppose I am. I haven't seen anyone in a while. But I always have lots and lots of energy. Kylar was always glaring at me and telling me to be less hyper." he said cheerfully, acting as if he was proud of being called hyper.
"Kylar is my son. Well, one of my sons. There's also his older twin brother, Janiiz, and their youngest brother, Kage." He said proudly. "They're all wonderful boys, though Kage went with his other daddy. Kylar went off to explore like growing foxes do. He'll visit when he gets settled, I'm sure of it." he said, ever optimistic.

"Oh so you have children....that is wonderful...Three boys...." She smiled softly at him, "You must have had your hands full...." She frowned slightly hearing that he didn't get to see them very often.
"I'm sure that gets very lonely.....so then.....you have a mate?" She commented. He had said other daddy, so apparently the fox in front of her was gay. Too bad, he was an attractive fox, and he made her smile. She sighed slightly saddened by the thought.

"Mmm, not really. Like I said, Kylar was always quiet and responsible and Kage went with his other daddy. Janiiz....well, he went wandering off too. All of them were fairly calm, which is odd, now that I think about it I suppose." Ripari shrugged. "They're good boys though, and I'm glad they got more of my dad's personality rather than mine. Kylar was always telling me I had to calm down. That my hyperness got on other foxs' nerves. It is a little lonely now that they're all grown up, but that's okay."
Hearing her second question, he shook his head rather vigorously. "Nope, no mate. The other daddy and I had come to the same stream and shared a pleasant conversation before taking a drink. Turns out the water was tainted and...well..." Ripari shrugged. "It was all sorta an accident, but I don't mind. I got my boys out of it." He said, smiling widely.
He cocked his head to the side when she sighed and wondered if he'd said something wrong. He couldn't think of anything, so he let his ears drop slightly. "What's wrong? You sound sad all of a sudden."

"Oh...." She listened to him go on and on about his family, smiling sadly the whole time. Would she ever meet a fox that was single. It seemed to be that every time she ran into an attractive male he was either gay or mated. It was disheartening. "Mm!" Her eyes shot up a little more when he said he wasn't with the father of his children. Maybe there was hope after all then. Unless....Unless he really was gay.
She blushed at the train of her thoughts. If he only knew what she was thinking. She would die of mortification. "Oh...." She blushed a little harder. "I just....well....I was....I'm sorry....I'm being ridiculous really....please don't mind me Ripari....I....My thoughts embarrass me....." She covered her face as she looked away.

Ripari tilted his head to the side in confusion at her stuttered sentence, though he though her blush was kinda cute. "Were you wondering something about me?" he asked gently. He was nearly always hyper, but that didn't mean stupid. He was just as observant as his father, and his son, though neither of them had noticed.
Tail still wagging, but a little slower, her approached the female and bared her face again. He smiled widely. "Embarrassment is silly. You can ask me anything, I don't mind at all." He claimed, getting his whole lower half into the wagging now. "I've had kits, I'm used to impertinent, personal questions." He explained, grinning. Kylar had been an exceptionally cheeky kit.

"Well.....when you told me about your children....I deduced one of two things: One your either gay, which is fine. I'm fine with that, no one controls who they are attracted too. or two, your gay and mated. Which is also okay." She pointed out. She didn't want to insult him. It was just difficult to explain the thought swimming through her mind coherently.
"I just....It's silly..." She shook her head, "What I am really trying to say.....was that even though I think you are a very attractive male, who may or may not be mated, I was a little sad because....Oh I don't know..." Her shoulders sagged. "It's not like I had any foolish ideas of falling in love and happily ever after running through my head....I just recognized that you were kinda....my type....But...." She couldn't seem to stop blushing, "I'm sorry....I don't know if this is coming out right at all." She looked at him apologetically.

Ripari watched Kea patiently as she stammered out her explanation, tail still wagging behind him happily. He picked through what she was saying, trying to piece the bits and halves of her sentences together and make a whole. Thinking he got it right, he smiled happily at her.
"Well...I am gay." He said happily. "In both ways, actually, since I'm always happy too. But I'm also not gay. I guess you can say I like everyone, since everyone is great in their own way. I just don't see why some people limit themselves in who they let themselves like." He shrugged as if to say that that was their business and they could do what they wanted.
"But I'm not mated, beautiful lady, so if that's what's bothering you, don't let it." He continued, going up to her and nuzzling her gently. "So long as you don't mind the fact that I'm hyper. Cause I am. A lot. My dad had the hardest time keeping up with me." He said proudly doing his body shimmy.

Gay, not gay? How could you be both? Oh, i guess that would be considered bi wouldn't it. Oh she was so lost! But in a good way, sort of. Oh she didn't know anymore. Kea looked over at Ripari and blinked confusedly. "Mm....Not...mated?"
She blinked, then a huge grin broke out over her face. Not mated! He was single! Oh happy day, maybe she had some luck left after all. Beaming at the hyper fox she shook her head, "I don't care that your hyper...mm!" She blushed lightly as he nuzzled her, but then she closed her eyes and felt herself leaning into the soft gesture.
"I don't care one bit....I find it endearing....and addicting..." She giggled, feeling a little hyper herself. How could you not be happy around such a fox like Ripari? His attitude was infectious.
