People keep saying that the Narnia series is done with, if it doesnt make more money. What do you think?...are they going to make the rest?
I really want them to make all of the movies. Ive loved Narnia since I was a kid, I'd be so heartbroken if they just cancel out on the series. If they dont make the films now, then...will the rest ever be made? And how could a great series like this not be finished? sad I wanted to see the Magicians Nephew as a film, so badly..
I mean I dont really want to talk about a negative topic like this, but... do you think they'll finish the whole series?

Dawn Treader really disappointed in North American box offices. The only hope is that it regains money overseas but even then the US market is the biggest factor. The Golden Compass did well overseas but no sequels were made because it disappointed in the US market.
The marketing for Narnia was just a mess :/ It's not like Harry Potter with the same characters each time. If they did the Silver Chair people who haven't read the books would be confused as to why the main cast keeps changing.

Ugh this is so messed up. Ever since LWW came out, Ive been excited for the rest of the series...of all things, I never really thought something like this might happen
How come people just arent interested anymore? I was thinking that maybe because theres always a 2 year difference between each film, and people just lose interest between that amount of time, but idk... a lot of people I know, didnt even know that theres a whole series to Narnia.
I havent even had the time to watch Dawn Treader yet...stupid finals. At least they got to make the Dawn Treader, though.

Prince Caspian was considered a disappointment and Dawn Treader is earning less than half! gonk It seemed to be the most exciting and visually amazing out of all the books. Can you imagine how boring the Horse and His Boy would be? x[
Unless they take liberties with the script. Will they ever let the white Witch die?

It's because Lord of the Rings had only 1 year between them. I bet people expected the Narnia series, and Compass series to do something similar...
Also, Harry Potter is popular because it's modern, and the kids of the 90s grew up with it, and are now adults...
And the only one I see being exciting, as a movie, would be Magician's Nephew.

Lewis, she is the representation of the devil, she doesn't really die... Her power causes a 100 year winter... And she didn't really have to think about it being winter, she just needed to be around the area. The witch from the Silver Chair is supposedly her spawn, or reincarnation. Her evil influenced the dwarfs even in the last book...

In my opinion, The Last Battle will be the movie following the Dawn Treader, but I've found out that the producers of the movies try to make a movie of the Silver Chair.
Wouldn't it give out an interesting result if we mix Narnia, Harry Potter and the Golden Compass together? Fauns and centaurs with daemons and wands!

I hope it carries on. I haven't read any of the books yet, but I'm seriously captivated by the films. I'm hoping to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader very soon. I'll see it a million times if I have to! They can't stop now!! crying

I have read all the books and really loved them but I believe that the Dawn Treader was the last one not just because of money and stuff but mainly because of realisation problems... if you look at for example the Magician's Nephew, most of the movie would be plain green screen work wich I think would be boring or would have this cheesy Avatar effect. And like anna bandana said, the cast is constantly changing so if you haven't read the books you might be very confused plus you can't really build a relationshipn with the characters like say Harry Potter. After Book 6 I didn't really want to go on because for me the book sucked but after all I just wanted to know how it ends and it's the same with the movies...of course I will watch the finale...I want to see the ending... but Narnia is differetn and I think they should let it be. I love Narnia very much but I'm afraid of what they will do to the stories if they make them into movies...

Ah..well...I was just excited to see them all be made into films. Even though HHB wouldnt transfer well into film, The Last Battle probably wouldnt, either. I just thought Magicians Nephew would make an interesting film. But I dont think that they would have enough money to do all those special effects now. Im not sure how Silver Chair would (would have?) turned out.. I havent read the book in such a long time. I dont even really remember what happened in SC besides Eustace and Jill going to Narnia, and flying...and something about giants.
Prince Caspian was actually good. PC had been my least favorite of the books... but the movie turned out alright. It was definitely magical, but at the same time it was missing the same magic that LWW had.
This is pretty disappointing.. I still havent gotten to see the Dawn Treader, yet....ugh.

I love Narnia very much but I'm afraid of what they will do to the stories if they make them into movies... Why would it be all green screen? The Forest with the pools could be man made, and then they could just add in that blissfulness to it after filming. London could be man made... Jadis' world would have a set, with green screens and added "red sun" filter. Narnia would be here in New Zealand again probably... If you watch the special features of the first two, you will see that green screens were used for just certain things...
