Freakshow vs Donny Mantra

"Cool and calm, cool and calm, cool... frick frick frick frick FRICK" Donny murmured to himself as he stood in the gorilla position, waiting for his music to hit so he could walk out. Freakshow. His first return match had to be the one and only Freakshow, the insaniest b*****d this side of hardcore. He had once heard someone describe him as the man who pissed barbed wire and s**t kendo sticks, a description he had found humorous until he watched him in ring.

"Hardcore" he muttered under his breath as his music finally started up, an unsure and slightly confused murmur rising up from the crowd. The intro was working its way along as he climbed the stairs to the curtain, bursting through with a smile as the first verse of Glitter and Trauma boomed out. He had been gone a while, but was pleasantly surprised by the spots of loud cheers that were dotted through out the audience, slowly building up to a cheer of recognition, the smile becoming more relaxed and less forced as he made his way down the ramp.

He reached out a hand and slapped palms with those fans that reached out, laughing openly as sections of the audience took on fake British accents to chant "Who are ya? Who are ya?" in good humour. Literally strutting up the steps to the ring, he called for a microphone as he stepped through the ropes, catching it with both hands before waiting for the chants to die down so he could address the people he had missed for so long. A nagging thought hit him. Was this a PG-13 show? "Hell with it" he thought as he raised the mic to his lips. This was either going to be a fun return or the quickest firing in wrestling history.

"Who am I?" he called out, the crowd picking up it's chant once more. "Who am I?" he repeated once more, egging them on into a louder response. Remembering his first ever match and what he had said before being fired then as well, his grin grew ever wider as he mimicked it "I'm Donny ********' Mantra!" and with the loudest cheer he had ever received burst forth from the fans, making him laugh loudly, all nervousness now gone as he turned, tossing the mic back to the ring hand, watching the legendary Freakshow as he prepared for his first match on American soil for years.

Donny saw the fans who were trying to warn him, looking from them to Freakshow a couple of times. He knew what would probably happen, but he was a sucker for this stuff, there was no way in hell he would ever refuse a hand shake, even if he knew what was to come. SO with that, he extended his hand, fully intent on shaking Freakshow's hand.
"And I've heard that you're a bit of everything"

Donny's free hand went right to his own shoulder to relieve some of the pain as he leaned over under the pressure of the wrist lock, his face stoic as Freak shouted at him. Fast as he could, he torqued up into a straight stand, aiming to reverse the hold into a wrist lock of his own. Unlike Freakshow however, if he were successful, he wouldn't say anything but instead go straight for his next move in the form of a leg sweep with his forearm to the back of Freak's knees followed by a quick cover.

Coming out of the pin, Donny inched back cautiously from a kneeling position to a standing one, flexing his fingers as he watched Freakshow ease the pain in his wrist. He wasn't going to push it, not yet, he could mat wrestle with a good few but that was best when the opponent was already in his grip, and now, he was certain Freak was a bit more focused on him being a threat. SO for now he paced, no longer smiling, just staring at Freak as he muttered over and over "Get up, get up, get up"

Instead of engaging in the lock up, Donny ducked down and instead went for a quick go behind waist lock. He knew how lock ups could just as easily be determined by strength and wasn't willing to bet on that just yet. If he managed to get behind Freak he would go for another quick cover in the form of a roll up.

Donny had stumbled to the other end of the ring from the kick out, turning slowly with his thumb and finger inches from each other to show Freakshow "So close" he said, allowing himself a small smile at his flustered opponent.

"Ok, ok, for real this time" he said as he went to the middle of the ring, raising his arms to offer a second go at the lock up.

True to his word, Donny met Freak in the lock up, juddered a little bit by the aggression but mostly keeping his composure. A wrestler could tell a lot from a lock up, and apart from aggression, Donny was picking up a little here and there. He knew how to wrestle, he had to give Freak that, but there was more will to over power from what he could tell, but that may have been his mood rather than ability.

Wanting to see just how Freak operated a little more, he pushed at his opponent, trying to back him up into the corner.
