Tali was wondering around the mall once more, it was so busy round this time of year and to be quite frank it put her off in a way. I mean she was a social enough person but when you could hardly move two steps without walking into someone it was just annoying, especially because everyone seemed to glare at you like you where in the wrong, so much for the Christmas Spirit. She had come here to look at some clothes but soon came to realise it might of not been the brightest of idea’s. However now she was here she decided to persevere and move forward, there was nothing else to do anyway.Her candy eyes scanned the area, until finally she came across a stall. She saw the guy working it send her a smile and she tried not to make eye contact, she knew how these people worked and even more so she knew if he saw her looking his way he would start a conversation and not let her leave it until his product was sold. However she was out of luck, she caught site of something on the stall and her eyes made her way over to it. As soon as she laid her eyes on it he came down on her like the vulture these merchants where.
“Hello Miss, I could not help but she you take a look at our new perfume range, would you like a free sample?”
He asked with a small welcoming smile, however she knew what was inside, she knew that that he was really rubbing his hands together with a evil grin, he wanted her cash and she knew it. Funnily enough her eyes were not set on the perfumes at all, instead a snow globe which rested on the table. She looked at the man and gave somewhat of a nervous chuckle. She hated these situations she always felt like a right cow if she just walked away. Maybe if she took the sample she could say it was not her style. Plus she would get a nice smelling wrist which was a bonus.
“Sure why not!”
She exclaimed with a large smile holding out her wrist, the man spraying it with the product. Bringing it to her nose she took in the sent which resembled strawberries. It was sweet and she actually liked it a lot, however she knew how expensive these things usually where and buying this bottle would cost her everything she had on her today, which might not be the full extent of her finances however she could buy a cute outfit with it at least. It just seemed like a bit of a waste; especially when there were some body sprays which smelt just at nice in Boots.
“We have an offer on today, if you buy a bottle you also get one of these lovely snow globes. They are all the rage with the kids.”
He mentioned gesturing his hand towards the item which had caught Tali’s eye in the first place. She reached out and grabbed it gently, slowing winding it up to play the tune. She closed her eyes and listened to it carefully, it was such a lovely song. When it stopped she opened them once more and straight away wanted to play it again. She looked at the perfume and pondered for a moment, it would be worth the cost just for this snow globe.
She did not know why but she just HAD to have it.
“Sure then I will take it please.”
She nodded and before she knew it she was wondering out the mall with just one bag. Soon enough she found herself back at her house. All of the walk home she was humming that tune. She kicked off her shoes and went up into her room to unpack her new possessions. When she brought out the small bumble of bubble wrap the globe was being kept safe in she very carefully removed it, looking at her reflection in the smooth glass. She smiled and wondered over to her bed, resting it on the desk, she wound it up and rested it down under her lamp, the tune playing once more.
She once again found herself closing her pink eyes and loosing herself in the melody. She could not stop herself from sinking into a deep and peaceful slumber.
