It was a quiet early evening when the mule clyte arrived for work. It was the holidays so most were out and about still doing shopping or spending time with family and freinds. Soon though he was sure some would come here for some relaxation time after their hectic day.

Jasper looked around HQ and it was all so familiar and yet so different. It was odd coming back grown up and ready to work. The ready to work part wasn't different of course, it was the difference in physical perspective that was almost jarring. He didn't have to stretch to look over the bar anymore that was for sure. The mule laughed at himself, greatful that there didn't seem to be many about to notice his nerves. Stepping behind the bar he took up a rag and set to wiping things down taking comfort in the routine of cleaning. There really wasn't much else to do until he acctually had a customer and there was always something to clean.

He hoped he wouldn't let anyone down. So many had helped him along the way to this point. Jasper toyed a bit with the ibar before turning to face the assorted bottles behind him. There was quite the selection here especially compared to the meager items Tyg and Powder had at home. He'd have to correct that if he held a party there. "I wonder if Maxwell would let me host something here?" he wondered aloud. With a shrug he selected a few juices to make himself a mocktail to sip while he waited and cleaned.

Jasper was mildly startled to hear a voice behind him and turned quickly. He grinned brightly seeing Kamiko, "Ah good evening Miss Kamiko, it's no wonder I didn't hear anyone come in." He knew her own career choice had come to fruition as well. "I suppose it would depend at that. I doubt I'd get full access to the top shelf stuff that's for sure."

Hmm come to think of it, what did they have available for top shelf, and was anything behind lock and key? He hoped no one would ask for anything special before he had a chance to find out.

"I had been considering a holiday party but it's just been so hectic. I was thinking of just waiting and doing a small celebration after the New Year. Dacj and I were discussing it the other night, in fact." Just then he noticed he had the shaker in his hand and set it down on the bar between them. "Now how are you this fine evening? Can I get you anything?"

"Well of course because you bring a celebration where ever you go," Jasper replied turning his smile to Dacj. "I was just mentioning to Kamiko that you and I had discussed the idea of me having a party at some point. Things tonight are going quite well with now two lovely ladies at my bar. How about you?"

Kamiko chuckled as the Kracken entered in her usual flair. She nodded to the girl as she took a seat and began to talk about her new home. It made her think of her own home with Eli and Krypto. They still hadn't finished exploring it but they had been rather busy fighting crime together. She was also thinking about the party Jasper was thinking about.

"Well it's a little late to be having a New Years party but I think I have a good idea! It will be a special party for you! In Japan we have a holiday called Seijin no Hi, or Coming of Age day. It is the second Monday of every January," she smiled at the newly grown mule. It would be a perfect holiday for him considering he had grown into a young lyte now.

"Many young men in Japan celebrate it and you have time to plan the party! It would be wonderful! I'd help you prepare too!" she clapped a bit. The idea of celebrating a japanese holiday was exciting to her. She hoped she could get Kisu-chan, Katsu-chan, and Kaede-chan to come.

"Ah well I wouldn't mind a cup of sake if you have any," she smiled at the mule. She knew he was working and she could at least buy a drink. Normally the superhero didn't drink but it was a traditional drink of her culture. Plus it was a lesson in moderation....to whomever might see her drink in moderation. She also wasn't driving tonight.

"Oh I'd love to help, Jasper! Me and my siblings could help decorate, Missy can probubly get the outfits, all you would need is a place to hold it and the guest list," she was already thinking about it. Maybe some of the newest hytes would like to join in. She knew there were a few others that were new that she hadn't met. Plus it would be a good reason to get all the Hytes together when it wasn't a holiday. Just a good party to bring the gentically altered family together.

"Here is an option of course but did you have anywhere else in mind as a possibility, Kamiko?" Jasper asked while he got their drinks. It took him a moment to find a nice glass for the sake and settled on a blue-footed rounded glass. He poured and placed the drink in front of Kamiko. "Here we are, one sake."

Then he pulled out a highball glass and filled it with ice placing it in front of Dacj along with a bottle of Kahlua and one of vodka. "I believe I mentioned Tyg's favorite is a white russian, would you like to try one? Or if you don't like cream I could keep it black. Then again we can try something else if you have a different flavor preference?" He held the vodka ready to pour awaiting her answer.

"Well if you don't want to have it here we can always do it at my place! It's certainly big enough and I'm sure Eli wouldn't mind! Krypto would love to see you again!" she grinned. It was true, her home was humongous thanks to the efforts of Mena.

Jasper really liked the idea of having the party in someone's home. "It would feel more like a party I think away from here. Here's it's like an extension of work," he winked. "If you're really sure Eli wouldn't mind...." he left if hanging a bit, though his eyes lit up at Dacj's mention of karaoke. "Now that would be perfect!"
