The reason could not be fathomed. Why was Nyx, of all people, being given 'tour guide' duty? Maybe Mau had something to do with it, the sneak. It would be like him to use dirty tricks to get her out of the lab so he could work and try to replace her as Miss Nadja's favorite scientist. Whatever the reason... that was her job for the day.
Nyx waited in the lobby, clad in her agent's uniform, with no pokemon by her side, but six pokeballs on her belt. The trainee should be there soon, she'd give them the tour, explain some of the rules, and be done in time for her favorite show.

Clad in a black shirt and red pants, They bore no emblem of the group she was about to enter within. Black knee high boots kept the sand away as she drew closer to the building that would become her new home. Blue hair drawn back away from her face in a tight ponytail, Kara Lee eyed the place with the same colored eye as those of the pokemon that walked at her side. Hefting the heavy, would be in this area, jacket to pull the white ruff up around her neck. Kara entered the building, eyes shifting around to get an idea of her surroundings. Standing at only 5'1" everyone around her seemed to be giants in their own ways, glancing down at the pokemon at her side. The dark colored Espeon was sizing the place up.
Temptation as its name was, was a dark colored Espeon and not the best of companions one could have. With her purple coat marked by blue cuffs about her paws and gold rings at the base of her tail. One things stood out again that, grey ridge like makings that would fit another pokemon other then this one. Bloody colored eyes watched those around her as she and Kara entered the Team Rocket building. Fur raising along the Espeon's spine, her 'cuteness' almost tempting anyone and everyone to draw near and try to touch her. But she let the charm go as she didn't wish to be returned to the horrid contraption the hung around Kara's neck, her pokeball.
Kara Lee stopped after entering the building and looked around. So many hustling and bustling around the place it was a wonder that no one bumped into others. Shaking her head, she looked to the espeon that sat beside her. "Well its better then nothing." She shrugged giving a light tone, but in return she only got a glower from Temptation. Looking around again, she spotted someone standing away from all the rest. Perhaps this would be the one that was to show her around? Could have been, she had been told someone would assist her in getting acclimated with the workings of the place.

Nyx noticed the doors open and an un-uniformed girl walk in; One of the recruiters must have dropped her off. The agent sighed and walked across the lobby, coming to a stop in front of the trainee who was only slightly taller than she was. "You must be the new Trainee. I'm Nyx. I'll be showing you around." She motioned around the room with her arm, "This is the lobby.
Clearly, Nyx must have thought she had something better to do than be a tour guide. She'd have been right, except she wasn't scheduled to be in the labs that day.

Kara Lee watched as the other female came towards her. Looking down a little she noted that she wasn't the smallest around after all, not that she was about to say anything out loud. It would give others a reason to chew her head off. "I'm Kara Lee. Newly recruited to your fine establishment." She introduced herself glancing to the pokemon at her side. "This is Temptation, don't let her name fool you though." The pokemon gave a low rumble of what could have been either a rendition of a purr or growl, hard to define which.
Kara looked around the Lobby, she could have guessed as much, but she had learned the hard way to listen and not speak too much. "This building looked rather large on the way in. But I have heard from others that work out of this Headquarters that it is bigger still. I am guessing that what I have heard is true? That it extends into the ground to hide more secrets." Her gaze falling back to her guide, there was a feel in the air that Nyx would rather be elsewhere. Looking to Tempt, the Espeon was busy looking around instead of listening to the chatter of the humans.

"Yes, it is as tall above as it is below." Nyx led Kara and her pokemon down a hall. "The infirmaries are here," She pointed to a pair of very large metal doors, "And down't this hall," She gestured to another hallway, which she began walking down, "Is the cafe' and cafeteria. The cafeteria has terrible food, but is free, the cafe' has wonderful coffee and some food, but you spend your own money there."
Nyx opened one of the rather large double doors leading into a similarly large room. It was decorated with numerous tables, and there were Rockets scattered all about. "If you don't want to eat anything, or if you get hungry when the cafeteria isn't serving, the personnel Kitchens are through the door to the right, left is for the cafeteria staff."
Newton, Nyx's Drifblim, with who most everyone was acquainted, loved the kitchen and spent many an hour inside eating all of the jellies and jams. "The personnel kitchen is kept well stocked. If there is anything not in there that you want, buy it, but be sure to label that it is yours, or someone will just assume it is community property." Nyx chuckled quietly. "Not that a label will guarantee food safety. No honor among thieves and all that."
She let the door close and gestured down the way they came. "We're basically like one of the universities, if you've ever been. Just a criminal organization instead of a gathering of students."

Kara Lee followed the shorter agent around the building. Making a mental map as they went along. When coming to the cafe and cafeteria, she nodded making not that she would have to visit and see what they had. Temptation sniffed around the halls and doors that were passed as the tour went on. Her forked tail flicking behind her, dark ears flicking at odd angles to listen. Even her 'whiskers' twitched in their own way.
"This place seems to have everything and anything a person could want." Kara said, quite impressed with it all. "I'll be sure to keep what I buy labeled. If anyone else eats it, then I can just buy more." Though she had an idea on a way to keep someone away from her grub. "I hadn't really been to any universities. Had tried to enter one, but I was rejected. Said I was too shady looking for their own tastes. Stuck ups I swear they were, but its was their lose I wasn't accepted."
Kara gave a shrug as she looked down to Temptation, the Espeon looking up with a glowering face. "They had also said that miss colored pokemon were an abomination to their beliefs. Tempt didn't take that too well and their cherished mascot met with a sticky situation. Thus my coming here." She shrugged stuffing her hands into her jacket pockets. "I hope to find a place amongst the ranks, somewhere." She grinned.

"Hm." Nyx wondered what kind of university it was that the girl had tried to attend, but shrugged it off. They were all basically the same; Too afraid to let true greatness and genius shine. She scowled for a moment, irritated with the thoughts that the girl's talking about the university caused. Nyx had been accepted to one of the Universities, but was kicked out before she could graduate. Not that she'd ever tell anyone about that.
"Well, don't do anything stupid and you'll at least make it to grunt." Nyx grinned at the girl and pressed the up button on the elevator once they reached the end of the hall. "The floor below this is storage, vehicles, the brig, etc." She pressed the button for floor 2. "Oh! And the elevator. Since we are above and below ground, first floor, this one, is floor zero one. The basement levels have no zeros in front of them."

"I'll try not to do anything foolish. But it will be trial and error I'm sure. More error then not, but I will find my place around here." Kara grinned, knowing she would have to work to get herself up through the ranks. Stepping onto the elevator, she noted the buttons and put things to memory. Giving the slightest of twitches at the mention of a brig. A place she would refuse to be taken to as everyone else.
"So what do you do here Nyx? You don't really seem the type to be taking people around every day." Kara asked looking back to Nyx. Temptation sat between her and Nyx, watching the Rocket closely. Kara looked down and tapped the pokemon on the head to catch her attention and gave a certain look that told her to behave. Much to Tempts liking, behaving wasn't the one to behave too often, beside in her trainer's sights. "I'm sure that even Temptation will like it here, she needs to meet more pokemon and make allies." This drew a growl like rumble from the Espeon at the mention, she would have to be desperate to go to that length.

"Ah." Nyx stepped out of the elevator when it stopped on the second basement floor. "Scientist. Cloning and the like. The labs are the bottom most floor, but you won't have clearance to go anywhere except a small room the elevator takes you to, so we're skipping that on the tour." Nyx opened a set of double doors, which led into a humongous room, set up for battles and training of pokemon of various sizes and types.
"This entire floor is set up for pokemon training and battles. If you want to do these things alone, you'll need to sign up and reserve one of the rooms. Also, check if someone has a room reserved before running in." She pointed to a clip board in box on the wall next to the door, similar to where charts went in a doctor's office. "Some of the Rockets have pokemon with poor temperaments and little self control, especially when they get worked up, and I don't think you'd like to have your head bitten off."

"Pity" Kara murmured to herself as she too stepped off the elevator and into the gym area. Glancing around Kara took note of the sign up chart and nodded, she would be using this place a bit to get her pokemon into a more... Reliable team as it were. With only the espeon right now, things would be dicey. "It wouldn't be the first time I have had something bitten. raising Temptation wasn't the easiest after her return to me." She left it to that.
"Are there many rules to battles here? I'm sure no blowing up the building is one of them. And no killing each other off I'm sure." Kara looked to Nyx with a slight frown. "Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a handle of the place and its workings. Back home things always had a list full of rules people had to abide by."

Nyx nodded, "That is pretty much it. Remember, even if you don't like everyone here, we're still a team. It's in the title. So, treat everyone as such. No killing, no injuring, etcetera. A pokemon injured in a battle here is one less we have on hand if the base is suddenly attacked.
"One of the rooms in here, "Nyx led Kara down a long hallway that smelled strongly like a chlorine and water, "Is specifically for water pokemon training and battles." She pointed to a set of doors, framed on either side by another door (mens and women's changing rooms). "If you want, you can also swim in the pool here, just make sure you know how." Nyx kept herself from chuckling at the thought of a certain Rocket she knew on base who did not know how to swim.

Kara nodded about the whole team thing, she could handle it. She would have to, to survive in the place. Coming close to the doors to the pool she had to cover her nose as her head suddenly went light. An indoor pool, lovely, even if the fumes from the chemicals made her sick. Shaking her head to clear it, she looked back to Nyx. "I can swim if I really have to. Coming from colder climates, one has to be ready for anything. Even a tipped over boat" Was her reply, though it sounded strange with a hand over her nose.
She was interested in leaving that area before she was sure her nose would be bleeding. Her stomach was still fine, but with how strong the smell was it was sure to upset it. At her side, Temptation was not. The pokemon had wandered off somewhere, turning back Kara looked where they had come from. Oh terrific, where had that Espeon gotten to now? "Nyx, you didn't happen to see where Tempt got off to? I should really keep a leash on that one."
Temptation had followed the path the tour had taken to the elevators. Sitting on her haunches she looked up at the buttons that were well out of her reach. Tail flicking behind her, she looked around to see if anyone was going to be headed up. The Espeon had gotten hungry and she remembered where the food was, but the whole problem was getting to it. "Esp" She muttered stalking off towards the training areas. even though she could easily get Kara to get her food, Tempt was more focused on getting someone else to do it. With Kara on the tour and all that.

"Hmm..." Nyx looked around, "No, I didn't see where she went. I can show you your room first, and then you can look for her, or we can see if she's near by. I don't think she can get off of this floor, what with the elevators and all." Pokemon got away from their owners all the time around the base, or were just given leave to wander where they wished. At least Newton, her Drifblim, was.
