It was an unseasonably warm winter day. Many people had taken this opportunity to do some last minute shopping at the Barton Outdoor Mall. Add the nice weather and the Christmas bustle to a modeling photoshoot, it was pretty crowded. Not the best place for a spawn of the Wrath variety.
The tomboy, Bleez was finishing up her holiday shopping, like most others there. She had her brother and mother left, two people she REALLY had no clue what to buy for. She also didn't really want to buy them anything, but the Liberality side of her demanded that she buy them something.
She passed a stand of bright lights, shielding her eyes as she went by, on her way to the music shop. Her tail bumped the stand as it swung back and forth as she walked. As if it were some horrible crime, several people surrounded her as several more went to steady the lights. They immediately started in on her for being "so reckless." Bleez, despite her bloodline, stood dumbfounded at this sudden onslaught of berating.
"What do you think your doing, knocking such delicate machinery?" came one.
"How could you be so careless," hissed another.
"Don't you know who this is?" yet another yelled, pointing at the elaborate setup with the lovely young lady at the center of it all.
Bleez, of course, had no idea who it was, nor did she really care at this point... even if this girl was... intriguing.

In all honesty, Adelle barely noticed as the slightly younger female accidentally tripped up the lights, busy having a short conversation with the director of the photoshoot, so she was absolutely sure what she was supposed to be doing. The girl's appearance was much different than it usually was, especially considering the fact that she usually looked like she belonged on the stage of a strip club more than she did a modeling shoot.
Her hair had been pinned into an up-do, mohawk hidden beneath fancily pleated braids. Her microscopic and anorexic body shape was adorned with a red dress that split and ruffled down almost a foot past the ground, starting at her thighs. She was surprised, however, when someone was suddenly rushed by people from the shoot, brown eyes widening slightly. Her tentacles were busy messing with the pretty dress and all of its strange details, and thereby didn't really care where her attention had turned. Concern evident on her speckled face, she lifted the hem of her dress with a white-gloved hand, hop-skipping over to the girl.
"Now, now, don't be so pesky!" the young woman chided all of the people surrounding the poor little thing, obviously a bit dazed and confused by whatever it was that just happened. Of course, there was definitely a slight blush on Adelle's face, proving that she was very much complimented by how overly protective all of the people had become of her, even the lighting guys. "I'm so sorry about that, hun. Are you alright?"

For Bleez, the situation was changed again. Her temper, not knowing if she was okay now or not, simply stayed. She was more confused than anything, which was a good thing for the people around. If Adelle hadn't shown up, Bleez probably would have told some people off... or worse.
Instead, she blinked and looked around, leaning to peek around the other spawn at the set behind her. Bleez was starting to put everything together now. An amused snort escaped Bleez when Adelle called her "hun." Any term that implied "sweetness" didn't fit her well.
She directed her attention to the newcomer, someone who appeared to be in charge. Giving her a look-over, Bleez summed her up as best she could. Lust... right? That's the one with tentacles. Those things always peeked her interest, though she wasn't sure why. In any case, she was pretty, much prettier than Bleez.
"Oh,right," her voice raced, it's normal, quick speed, "Sorry,yeah,'m.fine." she laughed uneasily, her feminine voice contradicting her more boy-like appearance. She scratched the back of her head in embarrassment at taking so long to answer.
"Sorry.'bout.bumpin'.the.lights. I.didn't.see.'em." She lied. She'd seen the lights and could've completely avoided them, but she wasn't paying her tail any attention.

Adelle giggled in amusement at how adorably dazed and confused the preteen seemed to be. She was only mildly surprised by the femininity of the girl's voice, but her lust DNA helped her with that sort of thing - she could tell males from females by the scent of them, the pheromones that they naturally exuded. And it was no different with the spawn (except maybe those of the lust variety, but as soon as she could smell those, the gender didn't matter).
"Good, good. I'm glad they didn't rough you up too bad," Adelle replied softly and laughed a bit, smiling at the girl and ignoring as the set managers bickered behind her, some of them trying to get her attention but most of them moving on for now to the other models who were there. After all, photos didn't need to be taken in any specific order. "Though I prob'ly shouldn't be worrying about you, should I, hun? You've got wrath blood in you, so you can protect yourself against anybody too bad. I'm just glad that I didn't lose a director in some kinda accident~"
The teenager laughed and gave the girl a wink. She probably wasn't making a lot of sense, but she chalked that up to the strange fuzziness that had been taking over her head as of late. Emilian said that it was just malnutrition, her body not being used to subsisting off of so little, but that she would get used to it and it would go away soon. She just wished that it would happen soon. "Oh, don't worry about it, hun. The lights are fine and it's not like they've got hurt feelings or anything. So what'cha doing around here?" she asked, simply curious and a bit lonely, homesick for friends that she hadn't seen in a long time.

Despite still being a little shocked that this person was talking to her, Bleez's voice calmed, slowing just a twinge, but still ridiculously quick. "I,um,am.shopping.for.me.mum.an'brother. Can't.think.of.what.to.get.them.for.Christmas. I.know.I'm.cutting.it.close,but.they're.hard.to.buy.for." She blurted out the truth, why lie? "My.brother.likes.music,but.can't.hear.right,so.I.thought.some.bass-heavy.music.would.be.good." If he didn't, it was sure to annoy her mother, so Bleez saw it as a win-win gift.
Her gaze drifted down from looking at Adelle's face to her tentacles. At least she wasn't looking at her chest, right? Bleez had an odd fascination with the appendages. And Adelle's were especially unique... or maybe it was just the Lust spawns' nature to all seem unique and intriguing. Her head started to tilt a little, watching the movements of the tentacles.
It was several moments before Bleez realized what she was doing. Her cheeks warmed and she could tell she was blushing. Eyes snapping up to Adelle's face, she apologized, "Uh,sorry,tentacles." As if that was a good enough answer, she decided it was time to change the subject.
"Name's.Bleez," she stuck out her pale hand in an awkwardly forceful manner. Her cheeks still burned. She wanted to flat-out blabber that she was sorry for staring, as if it was as bad as a guy staring at her breasts.

The smile that came to Adelle's face was definitely a little bit forced. After all, it only reminded her that she was going to be spending the holidays with her new boyfriend and, while that was nice and all, she did miss her friends and family, quite a bit. Finally, the lust spawn was actually starting to get over the fact that her mother had gotten mad at her, which was a surprisingly big step. But after everything that had been said and done... she just wasn't sure that she was going to be able to go back home right now. She'd dropped out of school, abandoned her family and friends... she couldn't just go back home and try to pretend that nothing had happened.
Of course, the model did what she could to snap herself out of the depressing mental tangent, telling herself that she would call Fitzroy after she was done with this. Yes, she would do that, and maybe she would feel a little better about the fact that she'd left. Mind you, she did miss a few of the things that the wrath girl had said, but... she wasn't completely lost.
"Huh? Oh, no, that's perfectly fine. They're a bit distracting at times," Adelle said with a smile, petting the both of her tentacles softly. The stubby appendages writhed a little bit and the girl chuckled, smiling back up at Bleez happily. "Nice to meet you, Bleez. I'm Adelle. You can play with my tentacles if you'd like. Well... with Kammy; the right one. Sutry is a bit angry."

Play with them? Bleez's pale face flushed a little as she looked up at Adelle. It seemed she'd said something that upset the model, judging from that unconvincing smile. But she wasn't sure what to say, so she just laughed uneasily and retracted her hand.
"Sorry,if.I.said.somethin'.to.upset.you..." she broke eye contact and looked at the ground. Her demon hand lifted and rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment.
Her tail lifted and grabbed a hold of her arm spine absently as she shoved her corresponding hand into her pocket. She was getting a little antsy, everything she was saying or doing seemed to be putting a negative spin on this young lady's view of her, or at least that's what she was currently thinking.

"Upset me?" Adelle asked in surprise, tipping her head gently to one side in confusion. Her eyebrows knitted gently and she snapped her fingers in realization. "Oh!! You mean that. No, hun, it wasn't about something that you said at all. Y'see, a couple months ago, I left home after I got in a big fight with my mom about... well, about a bunch of different things, really, but that's not the point. I'm living with my boyfriend right now -he was the one who got me into modeling- and he's great and I love being with him and all that, but it's been a long time since I've seen my friends and family. So I guess I'm just jealous.
"But it's fine, and it wasn't your fault. At least, not on purpose if it might have been. But really, they're very friendly - my tentacles I mean. At least, Kammy -the right one- is. You're still welcome to pet him if you'd like," Adelle ranted. Like many diligence kids, she spoke quickly but concisely, despite the fact that her words ran together just a little bit. She smiled, and the stubby little tentacle stretched toward the girl, waving softly, while Sutry decided that wrapping into a death grip on Adelle's arm was the best choice of action.

"I.wish.I.could.leave.my.house," Bleez blurted, not at all ashamed or embarrassed by the statement. "My.mom's.a.pain.in.my... well,ya.know. She.won't.even.let.me.date." At this, Bleez crossed her arms and hissed out of the fanged side of her mouth as she glared at the ground. "But.I.have.a.boyfriend.anyway." Her snarled turned into a smirked and she looked back up at Adelle. A weak laugh escaped as she apologize, "Sorry,got.on.a.tangent."
Her gaze floated down to the waving tentacle and Bleez felt the urge to pet it. Carefully, like she was going to scare it away if she made any sudden movements, Bleez reached towards it with her pale, angelic hand. She released the hold her tail had on the arm spikes and it slid back into a gentle wag behind her. "So.dey've.got.personalities.an'.names? Guess.I.thought.they're.jus'.like.tails.or.somethin'."

Adelle smiled sadly and nodded her head, wings fluttering softly behind her. "That makes a lot'ta sense. And you can rant at me, that's fine. After all, you've noticed how much I talk, right? But, yeah, that sounds terrible. She won't even let you date? Good thing you are anyway. Geez. Parents don't understand anything, do they?" Adelle replied, making a slight face. It was obvious that she didn't mind the girl's complaining; it was nice to know that she wasn't the only one who wasn't understood at home, and certainly wasn't the only one who wanted to leave home. Maybe one of the only ones who actually did, but... at least the desire wasn't spared on everyone?
Sutry tightened his grip around Adelle's arm unhappily as the other female stretched toward his sibling. On the contrary, Kammy was happy to stretch out as much as he could to gently nuzzle against Bleez's hand, snuggling against the palm, glad to get attention from someone, considering the fact that Emilian wasn't very kind to the strange little appendages. "Well, mine do, at least. Dun'no about everyone else's. My mom's are the same. I used to be in control of Kammy, and I still am a little bit, but Sutry's always had his own personality. It's kinda neat. You're never lonely with them around, but at the same time, you can never be alone, either."

Bleez smiled broadly as the tentacle curled around her hand. It felt kind of like when her tail twisted around her hand, but different, if that made sense. It was hard to explain, good thing she didn't have to explain it to anyone. Bleez giggled a little, forgetting momentarily about the evil mom talk. "I.can.see.where.the.whole.never.being.alone.thing.might.get.annoying."
Bleez looked around, her hand still caressing Kammy. "So,what.kinda.stuff.are.you.modeling?"

Adelle giggled at the smile that spread across the wrath girl's face. It wasn't often that she met wrath kids, and it was even less often that she made them smile like that; but at least the girl liked her tentacles. From what she'd heard, the over-affectionate little limbs could get on peoples' bad sides, especially wrath kids. At least... that was what her mother had told her. It hadn't been proven as a fact so far. "Yeah, it can get a little annoying at times. Since I've had them my whole life, I guess it's something that you kind of get used to. I've never really been completely alone, not with them here."
Chocolate eyes followed Bleez's when she looked around, the small tentacle gently curling against and around the other girl's hand, enjoying the attention quite a bit. Since Adelle had left home - and, consequently, Fitzroy- both tentacles had been left much more lonely than they had before, not getting much attention from Adelle or her current boy toy. That would easily be solved if Sutry was less of a brat, but that wasn't about to happen. "Today? Prom and wedding dresses, mostly. For some reason, they like having them modeled outside, with the wind blowing and stuff, even if they're usually worn inside where there's, y'know, not a lot of wind. I guess it does make them look prettier, though."

"More.dramatic.or.somethin',yeah?" Bleez caught on to what the photographers were trying to convey as she saw a few snap pictures of a model. Even though she'd never been to a dance before, she had to admit that the dresses did look fantastic. A sad sigh escaped her, though, as she reasoned that the models were gorgeous and that's why the dresses looked pretty. If she tried to wear something like that, it'd just ruin the look of the beautiful dress. Her tail stopped swaying and her hand lost the motivation to pet the tentacle she had so carefully been showing affection to. It was obvious that something had snaked its way into her previously happy thoughts.

"Yeah, that sounds pretty right," Adelle agreed, nodding a couple times as she followed the other girl's gaze to where the photographs were being taken. A sad smile came to her face at the way that Bleez's face fell. Stepping forward, she put a hand on the girl's shoulder, leaning down just a bit to give her a sweet smile.
"Y'know, there's one thing that we'll always have over them. Not even just me, but you and the rest of the spawn, too," she said, trying to make the girl feel better as her metallic wings fluttered softly. "'Cause you and me and aaall of the rest of the spawn are more uniquely beautiful than they could ever even hope to be, mmhmm. That's why I get so many jobs; 'cause everyone wants the girl with the speckled skin and the silver wings to be in weird perfume commercials and stuff. We're the kinds'a people that they would try to make humans into with special effects and stuff, but we're better, since we're nothing they could'a ever thought up by themselves. Know what I mean?"

"Yeah,I.s'pose," Bleez replied, smiling weakly back up at Adelle. She wasn't entirely convinced, but she did appreciate the effort Adelle was putting forth. The kindness wasn't lost on her, at least.
Bleez gave a deep, heavy sigh as she shoved her hands into her pockets and rocked back on her heels. She forced a smile on to her face as she began her goodbye, "Thanks,bunches,Adelle. I'd,.really.hate.to.keep.you.an'.all,plus,I.should.prob'ly.get.to.shopping,any.who.an'.all." It was a rather rambling goodbye, but she'd never been too good at them, even if she'd just met the person. "Maybe.we.could.hang.out.sometime.or.somethin'?" A full-on fake smile crossed Bleez's face. She knew, deep down that someone as popular and successful as Adelle would never willing go out of their way and socialize with her. But she had be talking with her for a little while now, so she had SOME hope, she supposed.
