Gnomes in bloody scrubs rush back and forth inside a small camp, full of make-shift tents and groaning students (the lucky ones got to lay on crappy cots recovered from the wrecked train!) "WE GOT A BLEEDER HERE! BRING A BUCKET STAT! NAME OF THE GAME IS WASTE NOT WANT NOT!"

Slowly and painfully, students begin to regain consciousness from the accident. The details are still a bit fuzzy, but there was an announcement maybe? And then...

"Well, you snots are the unlucky ones," one med gnome steps up and begins checking students for anything too punctured and useless. "Didn't hold on tight enough...or fell asleep like some jackdamned fools. Well...there are a few cases of food poisoning here, too. Should've known better than to use last year's lunch sets..." With a sad shake of his tiny head, he goes on, "Well, thank goodness we have some pumpkin pills on hand to renew you kids as good as ever!"

Another gnome quickly rushes to whisper something in his ear, "THEY WHAT?!" Whisperwhisper. "MY GOD, IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!"

The gnome stares off into space for a moment before coming back to his senses, "Well...ahhh...yeah. We ah...have misplaced the spare batch of pills. So you;re stuck here. Have fun...yeah."

He begins walking away, head still shaking in amazement, before turning to give them all one final piece of advice, "If you ahhh, see a couple of blue-eyed gnomes flying around? With golden hair? That's stupid spikey and kind of glowing? Well muscled and all? Run." He almost starts walking again before adding, "Or well...ah, limp as the case my be."

Aymet woke up feeling like his head was spinning. And in fact it was - he'd been tossed pretty carelessly across the cot and his head had come clean off his neck after getting knocked around so much. By the time his head lost its momentum and clanged against an empty bucket in the grass, he was good and dizzy, with absolutely no idea where he was. It was actually kind of exciting! But he could afford not to lose his head first. All he could see was grass and patched up cloth obscuring any view of the sky. He thought he heard someone talking. But, with no ears and a lot of distance between him and the speakers at the other end of the tent, it was little more than a word-like buzz from far off. Eh, probably not important.

A good ten feet away, the rest of his body was tangled up on the scorched and bent cot. Even without being directly attached to the rest of himself, he felt like his skeleton had been cracked and fractured all over. He was not going to be moving from the cot for a little while yet, in his condition. Apparently, just because he was undead didn't mean he couldn't also become re-dead. Good to know. One arm extricated itself and started blindly groping in the direction of the cot next to it. Aymet's claws eventually fell on a body, Kegan's body, which he began to shake awake, if it wasn't already.

"Hey. Hey. Wake up. Hey."
Aymet's voice emanated from the softly glowing phylactery around the body's neck. The blue eyes in his skull dimmed to near-nothingness as he concentrated his effort on the trinket. He couldn't see a thing from down on the ground, so he shook the nearby body again for good measure. "Hey buddy."

Kegan was on the better side of unconscious when they'd pulled him out of the wreckage. Everything had happened quite quickly and, perhaps luckily, he didn't recall one bit of it. Nothing more than a limp body and dead weight, he had been lugged along the grass, strung haphazardly across one of the few cots, and summarily abandoned to his fate. He couldn't complain. He couldn't do much of anything, really. The world was in and out for him. Fortunately, he did not need coherence to tell his lungs to fill themselves, chest rising and falling with slow, ragged breaths through lips parted and speckled with black. His one eye was glazed and sallow, staring up into the space above without really seeing. There were noises akin to those distorted by a deep sea, but he didn't register them, couldn't focus long enough to make it anything more than white noise.

It took an icy talon on his forearm to force a spark of life back into his battered body. The response was immediate and instinctual- he flinched, just a bare jerk under Aymet's touch and a strangled note in the back of the pooka's throat. He heaved in a sharp, deep breath, body nearly bowing with the force of its desire to twist away from the intrusive cold. Like he could fight even semi-conscious. Simultaneously, his mind was rapidly beginning to collect itself in response to the sensation, using the prickle and sting as a sort of ******** off!" It was more of a croak than anything. His eye was snapped wide now, rolling toward the source of discomfort. By now, though, he had managed to stifle the unthinking panic coursing through him and simply lay in place, tense but no longer struggling.

Hey buddy.

His head lolled toward the source of the noise, words that held some sort of meaning, even if it took him a moment to process them. The nearest hand shot out unthinkingly, wrapping around Aymet's wrist and gripping firmly. It hurt, but he knew he needed it; something to hold onto. Taking in steady breaths, his golden eye glared at the skeletal form next to his until it made sense. Then he let go, shuddering. Well, seeing a headless dragonoid thing was definitely pretty strange, but it wasn't a completely atypical situation.

"Yer not s'posed to talk without a head," He murmured, ragged and thoughtful, "Where's the wind go? What muscle forms the words?" A second more. "Guess that's one way-a talkin' out yer arse."

Morrigan wasn't injured, far from it. She had held on tightly to her seat and other than a few scratches, was perfectly fine. What she didn't want to do is trek across the frozen terrain in search of some stupid thing for Professor Shox. It was stupid, it was cold, it was a waste of time. Not to mention she wasn't dressed for the occasion. Her shirt had short sleeves, and she had a very short skirt on. Oh, it would be a different matter if she could use her abilities. She was capable of causing things to heat up, even herself. Then she could stay warm in this frozen place.. but without it she was vulnerable. Without it, she was damn cold.

"Hi guys," she stated upon entering the infirmary. "I didn't want to join the others, so I'm going to stay here for awhile. I guess if any of you need some help, I can try to be of service?" At least she had offered.

She froze in step when she had caught sight of what was going on. Was one of the students decapitated? What.. was this? She never expected to see them so mangled up. She thought they'd just be hurt.. a bit like she was. Rushing over, she picked up the head as gently as she could, leaving Mimic to bounce behind her, jealous that he was no longer being held. She walked over to kneel next to his cot.. "Do.. do I just put it back on?? I don't know what to do."

She was holding on to some boil's head! A HEAD! Had she made a mistake in coming here? No.. no, she was just.. close to hysteria. That's all. The crash.. and the screaming.. and the smell of smoke.. and the damnable cold. It was just too much for any one of them to take in calmly.

If anything, they absolutely did need her.

Equine ears flicked lethargically as they picked up other sounds in the infirmary. The most definite, translatable noise came in the form of a feminine lilt. Obligingly, Kegan tilted his head toward the noise- he only had one good eye and he wanted to have it on the female who had so generously offered her services.

"Hello, Nurse."

He regretted this almost instantaneously. He didn't have to look down at himself to know that he probably wasn't in the best of shape at the moment. The thought of being in the presence of a hale (and female) body was actually... unappealing. Too late now, though; he wasn't the sort to back out of anything irreparable, and believed that, if one had enough confidence, one could make any situation look good.

Kegan was now realizing that, even if he could see, trying to actually sit up was going to ******** that all to Hell. A wash of vertigo made the pooka boy ease himself back on his elbows on the cot, eyes closing as he willed it to pass. The girl, whoever she was, was asking about putting things back on and, suddenly, he was quite aware that his own body was incomplete.

"Tha's mine," He called, raising a dark hand to briefly wave, "S'my hat, love. Jist set it on me, if ya would." Indeed, Kegan's unruly, jet-black hair spoke of a hat of some sort, though it could have just as easily be from the jostle of the crash.

Upon finally forcing his eyes open, Thackery realized that he definitely wasn't in the train car anymore. This was both awesome and possibly terrible. He didn't feel quite as sick, but he ached from ears to tail, and everything was very fuzzy. Not in a tiny adorable kitsune way, either.

Groaning, he struggled to sit up, groggily rubbing at his eyes.

"...wha..t?" he asked clarification nobody in particular, having only caught the tail end of the gnome's directions. Something about blue eyes and spikey hair? He searched the area for anything familiar, caught a glimpse of what appeared to be the concerned dragony boil from the train, and...

...he didn't have his head. The nausea was back in full force.

"Uh.. hat?" She glanced at the head, then at the boy speaking, then at the head.. then she shrugged. Whatever. Weirder things have happened, right? She walked over to the other cot and bent over to position the head on top.. of the other head. Was he an Ettin? Some.. weird mutated creature? She had been pretty sure that this head belonged to the other body.. that just happened to have been missing a head. "There you go... nice.. hat." The sight in itself both repulsed her and made her want to laugh. At least she didn't have to hold the head any longer. That was just.. really weird. "I'm sure extra heads are in this year."

Just then came another voice. She turned to see who had just spoken, surprised to find it was a demon boy. A really cute demon boy at that! Morrigan practically ran over to drop down at his side. "Are you hurt? Do you need anything? Try not to move so fast! You were in an accident. We all were really.. the train.. it crashed! But you're going to be okay.. Not so sure on the headless and two headed wonder though." Poor cute demon boy. He looked like he was going to be sick.

Oh Candlejack, demon girls were appearing from thin air! He tried very hard to refrain from covering his mouth, because that might make it seem like looking at her made him want to throw up. The events of this trip were already not making him any friends, and that wouldn't help.

"I feel bad. Really bad. I think I'm going to die forever," he said grimly, looking the part. "Like my friend from the train. He doesn't have a head anymore!" So terrible - he'd touched him just once and now...he was headless. "You might not want to be near me. I think my dying is contagious. Everyone who talked to me is here or gone!"

Obviously distraught, he snatched Morrigan up into a hug, completely disregarding both personal space and his aforementioned worries of contagious death.

Her face turned almost the same shade as her hair. She was being hugged tightly by this boy. She couldn't remember the last time she was ever hugged. Surely it had been one of her parents, but they were strict demons and seldom showed any affection. In fact, they were always disappointed in her. After a moment, she even reached one hand around to pat him softly on the back, much like you would a small child that needed consoling.

"No, no, you're not contagious. I don't think you will die at all, let alone forever. It is a rather unfortunate coincidence but there's students here from all the cars, and I'm sure some haven't met you yet. I certainly haven't met you. I would have remembered that." Of course, he could go on and hug her for as long as he wanted though it seemed Mimic was growing increasingly more jealous by the minute. He was already snapping at her ankle, demanding to be picked up.

"I believe your friend is undead and if so, I doubt he is in any real pain. Don't worry. It will all be okay." She wished she felt as sure as she sounded. The truth was, she had no idea what was going on or what would happen to the injured students but someone would have to come along eventually to help them.

Aurian awoke to loud complaints about heads and hats and dying... Didn't these people know that they should use quiet voices when others were sleeping? That made Ri wonder just why she was sleeping near anyone else. She cracked an eye open. This was not anywhere she'd been staying. It wasn't even the train - the memory of that came rushing back after an instant or two.

"Inside voices, please," she croaked out to whoever was making such a fuss.

Well, there was no more going back to sleep after that, Aurian decided with practicality. Both eyes open now, she propped herself up on her elbows in the makeshift cot. The wooziness she'd attributed to sleep didn't dissipate. One of her arms was also protesting taking her weight, so she sat up completely to inspect it. A lot of bandaging was present, thankfully only over the one arm or people might mistake her for a Mummy. Clearly whoever had been in charge of fixing their wounds was not medically trained. Ri poked at her arm, estimating that the bandaging job was an inch thick.

Satsified that she wasn't dying, Aurian looked around the makeshift infirmary. Several other students were already up, while more still lay unconscious. "We seem to be alive," she said, positive in the face of the dog-eared boy's depression, "if not all in one piece." Aymet received a considering stare, as Aurian hadn't seen a skeletal dragon man before - especially one missing his head.

Twitch had been unconscious when he was pulled from the wreckage. Cyrilla had tried to get to him, as the announcement of the impending crash had immediately sent the rodent boy into a total panic. Unfortunately she hadn't reached him in time, and now he was here. Wherever here was.

The were-gerbil had been dragged to the camp and tossed into a corner, no cot available for him. He didn't mind, really he wasn't conscious enough to mind. For a good long while his body remained curled up in his corner, ears and tails twitching occasionally.

Slowly he came out of it, and quickly regretted it. His entire body hurt. His tail felt like it had been yanked damn near out of it's place. He couldn't quite place the area of the most pain (it all hurt, really), and all he wanted to do was curl up on Cyrilla's treasure pile and go to sleep.

...W-wait. Cyrilla? Hadn't he been near her? And then there was some announcement and...

Twitch bolted upright, immediately announcing his presence with a loud YELP at the new wave of pain that brought on him. He forced himself to look, scan to see if he spotted Cyrilla. An initial search brought up nothing, but he didn't really know whether to be happy or even more stressed out. What if she was...worse?

Unlucky? Oh ha ha; now there was the damn joke of the Candlejacking century.

The whole notion of going on some weird Magical Mystery Field Trip had screamed of fishy to start with in Elaphe's book, but still, against his better judgement, he'd gone along anyway. He'd left Nosi and Lapid at home, packed his (largely non-existant) belongings, suffered a long and thoroughly ridiculous trip chocked full of squawking idiocy and people he HATED, sat through siege by INVISIBLE FREAKING DEER THINGS AND THEN--...

Well, he didn't actually know what happened in vivid detail, having more or less blacked out when the lurch of the train hurled him face first into (or was that through?) a window, but waking up, he knew that he was somewhere noisy and that he was not happy about it.

When he cracked his eyes open, he realized belatedly that he was seeing spots. His everything hurt, and to make the inevitably broken, bruised and battered bones that much worse, it was cold. Elaphe had a seething hatred for the feeling of cold, and naturally, it left him in an infinitely sour mood than any lone injury ever would. The first to feel his (not so) mighty wrath was an unfortunate gnome by his corpse, promptly seized and TOSSED by his lashing hair hand a whole ten-- ... inches or so. And maybe the gnome's feet didn't promptly leave the ground, but they were DEFINITELY SURPRISED OKAY.

"... Nnnnnnghdammistupicolsomethin'.." he wheezed, peeling his head off the cot-- or maybe just trying. It was a valiant effort really. "... Wurrrrrisths?..."

A fair question indeed.

Minnie woke up, and looks around.
"Auch! It hurts... Wh - where are we?"
Asks Minnie while touching her left arm which is covered in bandages. But still, some blood bleeds through it. Almost her whole body was covered in bandages.
"Wh - what happened?! And where's my bag?!"
Minnie was sad, yet, happy that she's still alive. After hearing the gnome's explanation, she sat back to a nearby tree. She didn't do anything, just sitting quietly, and looks like thinking of something. Then she stood up, and asks one of the students, Nadia.
"Not much injuries, huh? Here, try some of this chocolates, its great."
Minnie reaches her invincible pocket in her dress, and hands out two chocolate bars. Then, she walks slowly, leaving Nadia. Actually, Minnie was jealous of Nadia, since she didn't get much injury. And then suddenly, she fell down, her leg bleed through the bandages.
"A...Auch! It... Hurts! Help!!!"
Yet, she screamed loudly.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 16, 2010 8:36 am

She reluctantly pried herself away from Thackery's embrace and walked over to the ghoul that had fallen down. Helping someone in need was one thing, helping someone that was acting the maggot and hurting themselves further was another entirely.

"Here, let me help," she mumbled dryly, taking one of Minnie's arms around her neck for added support. She half-walked, half-dragged the ghoul back to where she had awoken and gently placed her back down. "It's best not to move too much. You have all been injured. There was an accident, the train crashed. It's possible that many of you could have a concussion, so any nausea or dizziness may be normal. Please do not get up unless you're sure your body can handle it."

She would never have the strength to drag one of the larger students back to their cots. Even the ghoul had presented a difficult task. She also had no real knowledge of first aid and was going by what she thought was best. Memory alone would not help her for long if one of these students got stupid and hurt themselves even more!

Morrigan walked over to one of the tables and picked up a nearly empty roll of bandages. It was awkward and she ended up having to tie the pieces together at the end, but she had somewhat successfully bandaged Minnie's leg. She was no where near as proficient as the gnomes were. It was really sloppy and the ends were fashioned into a cute little bow, but it appeared to do the trick at least. "Unless the gnomes have more medical supplies somewhere, I suggest you be extra careful. Next time you mess up your bandages, I'm going to let you bleed out," and she was serious.

She was also visibly upset for having blood on her hands and even some on her clothes. She looked a mess, she was cold, and she had just given head to some boy. The latter made her break out in a fit of giggles that soon erupted into a hysterical laughter.

Mimic was hiding under a cot, looking at his mistress like she had lost her mind.
