Hello everybody!

As the title says, my classes will be strictly about promos.

Now I know what you're asking: dude, why are you focusing on promos?

And to that I answer: because it is an important part of roleplaying, at least in the wrestling RP. You can do the matches that you want, but once you want to get involved in a feud, angle, storyline or anything like that, you will be asked to make promos. That's a situation that you will have to face many times during your run.

Not only that, but many times, people will judge you on your promos. Because the effort you put in them, for many guild owners, it shows how much you can do in that guild and how involved you will be if he comes at you with an idea. I know that when I was owning a guild, if someone was doing promos, I was more interested in trying to make storylines around him. Because the dude stood out and proved he could make something interesting.

On top of that, it's also how people get to know your character. You can come over and say "oh, my character is a biker". If we don't see him act, speak or give any signs that he's a biker, we won't buy it. And the promo is the easiest way to get to know your character. The way you make him speak, how he reacts to certain situations, that's all stuff that can only be shown through promos and that's what shows the uniqueness of your character. Other than that, the guy you roleplay as is nothing but a blank tektek that we only know the height and weight.

At the end of this class, you won't be perfect at doing promos. It's impossible and there's a whole lot that you will experience on your own, since every cases are different. What I want is to give you all the guidelines of a good promo and how to make it, so it doesn't become an overwhelming weight on your shoulders to have to make one. Once you're done practicing here, I hope you guys will have the tools you need to go out there, make a promo that will either make us laugh, boil inside or amaze us. But most of all, I want you to be able to make promos that people will read and say "I wanna try something out with this guy!"

So I really hope you guys will join my classes or, at least, pay attention and apply my tips and tricks. I don't consider myself as an expert in promos, but I know I can do good stuff. And my background proves it: my character, Marxx, is a 2-time Intercontinental champion and a former World champion in an e-fed website where you have to post at least a promo a week in your match thread to decide who wins. If that doesn't convince you that I know how to make promos, I don't know what will convince you about it.

I divided my classes into segments: Types of promos (intro), Gimmick Application (which I divided in two parts in addition of a practical part, P1 P2, Build-up and Interruption. I think these aspects are important to make good promos because all these elements together will make everyone's promos unique in its own way. And keep in mind that there are no such things as bad writers. Those who say that about people just don't realize that they didn't find the style that suits them yet. Every single person went through that process and I want to make you get through that process not faster, but with the tools you need to not get stuck at some point.
