And is it just me...or is Momma a stereotype of black mothers? I mean... in most movies I've seen... the mothers always wear sort of the same clothes.. talk in almost the same manner, often are..overweight and have very long fingernails.

hmm..personally...I'm not too keen on the 'Momma' gimmick, and it's the WWE, of course it's going to be hugely stereotypicalXD remember runee du pree's 'french' moustache?*shudders*
I think Shelton has a hell of a lot of potential....i dont know, i just think it's wasted on this type of storyline, but then i've heard it was partly his idea anyway:S

I think Momma Shelton is funny. i remember when he was first on his cell and said "You'll be here next week?"
I looked over at my brother and was like "I would laugh so hard if he was talkin' to his momma."
I like the gimmick, its good for laughs, and she straight shanked Val Venis with a hair pin.
I also loved her talking to Val
Mama Shelton: I know I've seen you in a movie somewhere.
Val Venus: Well I've stared in quite a few adult films. Shaving Ryans Privates, Hairy Twatter, Gladheateher...
Mama Shelton: How dare you imply such nasty things! I am a good christian woman! My boy is going to beat your a**, come Shelton! What have I told you about playing with homos?!

I think Shelton's mom is pretty funny. I just don't like while she's constantly yelling while outside of the ring. It gets annoying. "C'mon, get'em boy!"

Shelton Benjamin's "momma" is supposedly a storyline made by Benjamin (supposedly), I have to say it's pretty funny when she met Golddust for the first time...I also gotta say, this should not have happened to Shelton, come on he was the longest Intercontinental Champion holder, he shouldn't be reduced to having a "momma's boy" storyline, it's completely barbaric

I think it's a step back for Shelton... but, so was being beat fair-and-square by Carlito four times.
I love the Mama gimmick. The Val Venis part was probably my favorite.
