Noon approached upon Adira and Elegancia sooner than they had expected. It wasn't that they had set a time limit for themselves or anything like that, but it was just strange how time flew by when the two were together. The two strutted down Calico Lane, stopping in every shop they felt they needed something from. As it were, Elegancia had three bags of extravagant clothes, while Adira had admittedly much less-- one, to be precise.
"Oh, Adira, did you want to stop somewhere and grab a bite? Look at me, using such slang! Grab a bite, ohohoho!" Ever since the two girls had been hanging out, Elegancia allowed herself to let her hair down-- the previous Elegancia would have never said something like 'grab a bite.'
It was then that she saw him-- a golden-locked boy of exquisite handsomeness. Elegancia literally stopped in her tracks, nearly skidding, and grabbed Adira's forearm with a free hand. "Look at him," she said in an exasperated tone, making sure not to point (that was such a rude habit), "have you ever seen anything like him?"
Strangely, though, a purple shadow lurked beneath his feet...

Adira laughed a bit at Elegancia's glee at using 'slang' for getting lunch. It was cute, really the way she reacted to things sometimes. Who knew that the pompous socialite had a very endearing side to her? Admittedly, she'd only found this out herself a few weeks ago. "Yea, I'd be 'game' for lunch." She smirked, readjusting her bag to the other hand.
Which was probably good timing on her part, otherwise her new purchase might've gone spilling to the ground. Adira tensed, ready for something to jump out at the two of them (being a senshi had ruined some of her more normal reactions), but relaxed immediately when Ele started talking about some boy. Being happy...whatever it was with Bo, the girl didn't spare more than a glance really at the lad being called to attention. "He is cute, you should go say hi if you think so."
She was about to turn away, knowing Elegancia wouldn't do something so brash, when something caught the corner of her eye. Turning back to look, she stared quizzically at the purple shadow which almost seemed to twitch occasionally. Or pulse, perhaps, was a better word. "Elegancia...look at his feet." A year ago Adira would have chalked it down to a weird shadow and moved on.
Now?
Now, however, it screamed youma.

Being new to this city the blond haired man had yet to explore the far reaches of it, choosing a area with local food joints to search. If there was one thing the tall lanky man liked, it was food... and from the smells wafting around, he figured he had chosen well.
Dietrich had not noticed the two girls staring at him... but even worse was he hadn't noticed something far more evil that had attached itself onto his shadow. He felt cold, unusually so being bundled up with a huge scarf, but he played it off as just the winters bite. Warm cocoa in hand, he set out away from the duo... still not noticing the pair of eyes. Bending down he grumbled and picked up a half empty bottle of tea that someone had just discarded. Gripping it he tossed it into the recycle bin, somewhat of a noteable tang of anger on his voice... he hated litterers.
"Its easy to walk two more feet to throw trash away, you know?" He called to no one in particular.
Only then did he notice he was being watched, and motioned with a grin at them. "Hello!"

"No, Adira, it would be unladylike and I am not a harlot," she said sagaciously, "so I shall not approach him like that." Elegancia kept her eyes on him, though, as he picked up some garbage and tossed it away. Yuck! Who did that, besides janitors and hobos? That was officially a deal-breaker, but the shadowy thing that lurked beneath him did happen to catch her attention. "What should we do?" She whispered, hoping no one else would notice, and also hoping that the creature wouldn't make some horrendous strike.
"Yoohoo! Blonde boy," she called out, with half a dozen blonde men looking back at her agitated. "Not you guys," she said, visibly annoyed, "you!" Elegancia pointed at Dietrich and then beckoned for him to come forth. If it was indeed a youma, the creature would follow him-- she was hoping it was just her eyes playing tricks on her, but if need be, the girls could disappear at a moment's notice and transform into sailor soldiers.
It was, after all, pretty much their job.

"Oh Ele, being proactive is not unlady-" She was going to go on a bit more about the virtues of being a lady in the 21st century when she was interrupted by Elegancia practically cat calling the boy who'd been thoughtful enough to pick up litter. Looking mildly embarrassed by the glaring looks of the few other blonds in hearing range, but quickly snapped back into focus on the youma.
For lack of a less disgusting word, the shadow seemed to be wriggling. Perseus wasn't quite sure what it would turn out to be, but it seemed agitated that the human who was standing on it was being called to attention. "Elegancia, keep sharp...I'm not sure what exactly this thing is going to do." Serious blue eyes flicked about the shopping mall, looking for a good place to henshin if they'd need to.
"Theres an alley entrance back behind us if we need it...it should be good for suiting up if need be." The alley entrance was something that the normal person on Calico Land would just glaze over, a sliver of dark amongst the polished white marble and brick faces of the shops lining the row. It looked dingy by comparison, even though it was much cleaner than several of the other alley ways she'd had the misfortune of being down. As if to be reassuring, Adira offered a polite smile at Dietrich. Perhaps he could be charmed over? He would probably be less keen on moving in their direction if he saw them in battle pose mode, so the girl tried to relax her body a bit.
