Xavier could smell her. It was undoubtedly the vixen he had met not too long ago. Funny how they kept runnning into each other. She didn't seem too far away, and he debated on whether he should approach or not. He couldn't see her yet, despite lying high up on a branch.

Xavier decided to wait a few moments, to see if she showed up, but moments passed and her scent hadn't moved in either direction. Curious, he jumped down gracefully and headed towards her. Trotting down the path, Xavier jokingly called out, "Oh, Lilith! Come out, come out wherever you are!"

User Image Lilith snarled under her breath, her ankle stuck between two large rocks. The side of the hill was rocky, and her un-so-clever self had tried to master it, climbing up its side after she saw a large deer dash across the skyline. She had fallen, and landed with her ankle caught between two rocks. To say it hurt like hell wasn't giving the rocks enough credits. It had to tough, tomboy, rough and fierce vixen gritting her teeth as tears welled in her eyes.

Damn damn damn!

She felt like such an idiot! She was stronger than this... and yet, it hurt! She tugged roughly, wincing as the rocks dug further into her ankle. The female couldn't sit without pulling on her leg, and couldn't move from her spot.

"Damn you insufferable stone!"

The response caught Xavier a little off guard. He hadn't been expecting anything nearly so... irrelevant to him. And it sounded like she was in pain. Worried, though he would never admit that to himself, Xavier headed towards the sound of her cursing voice at a slightly faster pace than before. But only slightly faster.

She wasn't far off, and when he finally found her he wasn't surprised at her pain. He ran down the side of the jagged hill, avoiding rocks and situations like the one Lilith seemed to be in. "Hey, Lilith, you okay?" He called down to her as he neared.

The second white, blue, and black rushed into her line of sight she mentally cringed, outwardly scowling. Just her luck that someone had found her like this, pathetically caught in between rocks. Oh, the shame! The red and yellow vixen snorted at him, oddly shaped tail lashing about in annoyance, though not at him. She was merely taking it out on him.

"Of course I'm okay! I'm dandy!" She hissed, ears flipping back and nearly whimpering when she attempted to sit. She hissed in pain, glaring at Xavier before lowering her head.

"I betcha think this is funny."

Xavier reached her and, staring hard at the point where her paw disappeared between the rocks, he ignored her comments. When she lowered her head slightly, he gave a small growl of annoyance. "I can't see," he said shortly, before moving his head under hers. Xavier returned to staring. 'If she could move her paw along the crevice a little...' There was a larger space nearby, and though her paw probably wouldn't fit through it fully, it would still be easier to force her out of.

He took a step back and sat down, looking up at Lilith's pain-stricken face again. "Of course I find no enjoyment in your pain. If I did, I wouldn't have already thought of a way out for you. Now," he paused for a moment, thinking of how to word this. "It won't be painless, but the faster we get you out, the better for your ankle. Pulling wildly won't help you out of this particular jam."

She stared at him bitterly, growling at the male and jerked her head to the side, staring away from him. "I tried everything." She snapped, gritting her teeth in pain. "Fine, lets see you 'help' me." She snapped at him, tail lashing as her paw ached more. She whimpered in the back of her throat, biting the inside of her cheek. Dammit! Dammit dammit this though act couldn't last much longer! What would he say?!

"Not like this hurts at all." She lied, shaking her head, hair flipping over her horns for a second before falling into her eyes. The red vixen rolled her black eyes, yelping when her accidentally moved her paw, cheeks turning a dark red.

"If your paw isn't out, then you obviously haven't tried everything," Xavier retorted. "Besides, it looks as if all you've done is tug until your skin is raw." Xavier sighed, knowing that he wasn't helping the situation. Free her first, then you can banter or whatever, he thought to himself. "Look, your ankle is smaller than you're paw, and so far unscathed. Move your paw down deeper into the crevice, where it's wider, and slide ankle along the crack until you reach the wider space over there." Xavier indicated in the direction with a nod of his head.

"You have a much better chance of pulling it out from there, than you do from over here."

[If the way this whole "being caught" thing was set up differently in your head, then sorry XP]

Lilith stared at Xavier, grumpily flicking her tail at him, considering snapping in his direction. If she wasn't in pain she wouldn't be so rude at the moment, however her pain was blocking her thought process. Roughly she growled, slipping her paw downwards, her ankle slipping though the narrow part easily, catching for once second. The female glared at Xavier, as if to say she had told him so, and yelped when her paw slipped out from between the rocks. The rocks slid together and fell downwards, and she herself was free. She set her foot down, about to tell Xavier that she was just playing with him when pain shot up and her paw gave in, her weight causing her to fall into a lying down pose.

"Tch." Damn, that hurt! She flicked her ears back, grumbling yet again. Dear gods, why did Xavier of all people have to see this? She looked up at him, biting her bottom lip. "Thank you." Ah, how she hated thanking people. Damn, damn damn damn her paw hurt!

{{No no, it's fine the way it is! <3}}

Unmoving and fairly emotionless, Xavier watched Lilith's progress. Even after she was freed -- in the nick of time, it seemed -- and after her attemp to walk about, he didn't move. It was only after she spoke that he did anything.

"You're welcome," he said, looking down at her. At her paw, in particular. "I wouldn't recommend walking on it," he informed her. That comment was just to bug her. He thought he deserved it, after all.

Knowing that Lilith would respond with some sort of retort, he preemptively continued. "I would, however, recommend soaking it in a cool, slow moving river. And follow up with some medicinal herbs not too far away," he nodded in the direction he had appeared from. He always mentally took note of these things as he passed them, just in case. Xavier could also smell fresh water nearby. They were in different directions, but still near.

As he spoke she merely flopped down onto her stomach and began to grumpily grumble to herself multiple curses. At the mention of water she raised her head, looking at the male as if he was an idiot. How was she supposed to get to water if she couldn't use her damn paw? Sheesh, boys were dumb, though Xavier was slightly different than most males. Sighing softly, the female lowered her head, looking up at him.

"And how does the grand Xavy see me getting there?" She mused lightly, flipping onto her back, whipping her tail about, wrapping it around Xavier's leg suddenly with a grin. "Unless you are not Xavy, and instead a mighty demon that can move water, I don't see myself getting there with this paw."

With a straight face, Xavier replied, "I'm not too sure, Lily. But you're right, it certainly looks like you aren't going anywhere for a while." He paused then, and glanced down where her tail wrapped around his paws. He looked back to her, now looking amused. "And no, I'm not some demon that can move the waters here. I am merely a fox, who could probably move you to the waters."

Xavier said no more; he was waiting for her to ask, but refused to hint any more at it. Instead, he looked back down again at her tail. He had always wondered, but never asked about her tail. Or her horns. Or the shackle on her other ankle. But having nother else to look at, other than perhaps her wound, he stared while he waited for her.

Lilith gave Xavier a perplexed look, catching on in seconds. She had caught him staring at her tail, and removed it in seconds, curling it under her body. Of course, it always came to that. People wanted to know why she was so different. She was a demon, right? Perhaps she was. Not like she was going to tell unless someone deserved to know. Frowning a little, she noticed the look at her horns, moving her hair to hide them and then looked at him full on, scowling.

"I'll just wait here then, until I get better." She grumbled, seeming annoyed, which she was. Asking for help! Hell! Like her stubborn self would. She looked away, refusing to budge, until her paw ached. Closing one eye, she hissed between her teeth, ears flopping against the side of her head as she turned and whimpered in fury/pain. "Or you could help me."

"Yes, yes I could help you," he nodded in agreement, "I believe I've already established that." He smirked at her. Though he wasn't too fond of seeing Lilith in pain -- in his defense he wouldn't like to see any vixen in pain -- but he had already helped Lilith out of the worst of it. If the pain got any worse from this point, he would naturally help her out without forcing her to beg before hand. Right now, though, he knew she could handle it well enough.

"Also, I wouldn't recommend deciding to remain here until you heal," he said. "It just might get infected. You'll need to rinse off the raw area very periodically, and those herbs I mentioned earlier wouldn't hurt, either."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 9:20 am

Lilith nodded, guessing her was correct. She herself knew nothing about herbs or healing. With a frown, she stood up and kept weight off her paw. The vixen smirked at Xavier proudly, as if to tell him she was clever, and then tried to walk, gritting her teeth as her paw sent up white hot pain into her body. She nearly let out another whimper, however defiantly she pressed on. Limping, was she really limping? How disgraceful. The bracelet did not help her raw wound at all! Turning, she glanced at Xavier, teeth gritted and ears pulled way against her skull.

"Where. Is. There. Water?" She growled, though not at Xavier per say. Her tail whipped about, however she kept attempting to move forward. No way in hell was she going to play damsel in distress!

Xavier almost laughed. Almost. He refrained for fearing he would ruin the moment. "Over there, about," he replied, motioning in the correct direction. He watched silently as she struggled, and the pain was evident in her eyes and face. She wasn't going to be getting very far, and certainly wouldn't reach the river. After watching her go a few more steps, he sighed. Now, he would give in.

In a few short strides he was at Lilith's side. "Lean on me," he said, in a slightly commanding voice. He didn't mean for it to sound so harsh, but couldn't really help it. He glanced down at her to gauge her reaction. "Swallow your pride and just allow me to help you," he preemptively said, assuming that she would protest to being ordered around.
