Acolyte's Change is a progressive role-play of my own creation with a new and rather innovative idea in my opinion. Your characters, as well as a few presented by myself, are acolytes of the Four Horsemen. What's so different about this you might ask? Well essentially think of it as this, you are the "shinigami" of the Horsemen. They give you an order, you go to Earth, or whatever reality the job is in, and you do it. You are a warrior, a soldier, but you are still a person, more or less.

Each of the Horsemen has several requirements for being their acolyte upon your death however it happens. More often than not, you led a grand life and rose to the occasion, and died rather young in life. Think about this when creating your character, and as well the guidelines for each of the four.

Conquest: The Lady Conquest chooses those that are born leaders in life. Those who are well opinionated speakers or charismatic renegades leading a rebellion. People who are destined to bring on the winds of change always touch her heart and they are the ones who though often enough die before their time she takes them into her care. If you are a member of Conquest's haven you are a person who thinks before you act, a tactician, and someone who takes great care with everything they do.

War: The Master War would of course want warriors, and not just any. Not the pompous generals that sit upon their horse and bark orders, no, he wants the valiant creatures that stick their sword into the heart of it and come out on top. Those who may not enjoy battle on the outside, but on the inside it is all they know. Beserkers, templars, and other various types of soldiers are those who march under War's banner. Under War you come to quiet the rising beast within and when the melee is had you become an unstoppable entity of the skirmish.

Pestilence: The Lady of the Plague is one of the most choosy of the four. Her chosen are often those that lie on the underbelly of society, those that never rise high in life, or if they do it is through blood money. People who are seen as a parasite of society are the souls that Pestilence most enjoys having in her care. Thieves, assassins, informants, and other less worthwhile posts are who she has her eyes set upon. If you rest in the palace of the this Lady you are an underdog in many's eyes. You rely on your guile, wits, and often enough a silver tongue to get your way; that or you're good at sleight of hand and acting.

Death: The Lord Death has a very particular taste that is also refined as the Lady Pestilence's. His acolytes are those who in life were utterly empty, and they dealt death with such swiftness that they were feared. Those who go through their lives doing things, just to do them, just to see if they can find an ounce of heart in themselves, and if not they resort to more drastic means. Facing numerous foes with no chance to win, starting a rebellion, or even assassinating a large public figure; these are some of the things that attract his eyes. If you pick up the oath of Death then you are someone who finally has a purpose in your life. A purpose for the deaths you cause, and for the emotions that are finally starting to swell your once empty heart.

These are the four, and these are the requirements that you must follow in your character to follow a particular one.

Powers of the Acolytes:

The Acolytes possess various abilities that each share, as for those that are particular to a certain one of the four I shall address them in role-play.

Immortality: The Acolytes possess immortality in a very loose sense of the word. They cannot die of age, disease, or anything that would normally kill someone. You have to actually kill an Acolyte, and that alone is harder than what you may think.

Enhanced Strength: Most Acolytes have a degree of enhanced strength, this means punching a hole through a brick wall or something like that isn't that far-stretched a feat. Doing something like Superman though, and trying to stop a speeding train is going to get your a** carded.

Enhanced Reflexes and Speed: Their bodies are allowed to move faster and their brains process faster than what most people's does. Perceiving blows before they land, keeping up with most land vehicles, those are things that can be done. Again, try anything too out there and I throw a hammer at you.

Enhanced Endurance: It takes quite a bit to get rid of an Acolyte and this is thanks to an enhanced fortitude. They are able to do things longer and more arduous than most, and for it they can take more damage. Even bullet wounds to the heart may or may not be fatal to an Acolyte. Who knows, you might get lucky.

Arcane Abilities: This will cover anything from fire-breathing, to knowing magic spells, and this is how it will go. If you want your character to know this then put it and next to it put the various abilities they may have. For example: Arcane Abilities: Extensive knowledge of necromancy, fire-manipulation, and psychokinesis.

Knowledge of Tongues: Because of their extensive travels throughout the cosmos the Acolytes have innate ability of tongues. They hear a language, they can instantly speak it, pretty simple right? Remember though, they must hear it, not see it, meaning if you try reading a dead language and say you can understand it. Once again, I'm throwing something at you.

Abridged Form: The Abridged Form is an ultimate weapon for any acolyte, even if it can only be used a short time, and it is unique to which Horseman you follow. This is essentially a transformation you go under, for those who have played Darksiders it's War's Chaos form basically, but this is different for each of the four:
Conquest: The Form of Unity, you turn into a being of grace and elegance. You are a creature that can inspire peace or finality with a few utter words, or if the need of combat you have become a spinning wheel of death. Your dexterity and speed has raised greatly, along with magical prowess.
War: The Form of Chaos, you have become the embodiment of the very thing that you so follow. You are now a "monstrous" beast of war and death. Your strength, endurance, and other powers relating to destruction have vastly increased.
Pestilence: The Form of Famine, you have become the shadows of the plague. Your appearance can beautiful of detesting, but you give of a sickly aura and produce various toxins in your blood and the air around you. You have become an entity that wears down your opponent in a short time and causes him to yield before you show mercy or ruthlessness.
Death: The Form of Finality, you have become as black as the night that you serve. You become a draped apparition of the very craft that you sew into the world. Your very touch can kill a mortal in this form and to other creatures that are not mortal you inspire fear and adoration for your works.

Other abilities will be added if I see fit or if there are particular ones greatly asked for.
