Players involved:
Maion
"Bloody" Mary Milly Spector

This is set AFTER the kidnapping, and AFTER Maion helps the other prisoners to escape.... I just couldn't keep RPing more and more things before it happened as I will go insane trying to figure out the timeline XD

So much had happened..... Maion had left the others behind so he could scout the area, the escapees that had remained with him had been so brave. Each working together to, a team, to overpower their captors and escape. The fact that so many innocents had been captured saddened Maion... and for a game, simply so Kalona's could 'test their skills' and have a fresh stock of flesh and blood to eat when needed. It was sickening.

No, Maion couldn't simply leave them unprotected, couldn't leave them alone in the dark to die.... no one deserved that. The wound on his chest was still fresh, the blood had dried up and his weakened unicorn powers had aided him much in his own healing.... but he wasn't the only one with injuries and dried blood on his pelt, others of the captured soquili had put up a fight. Yes, they were brave indeed.

Which was why Maion wouldn't give up. His eyes scouted the are as his companions took a break, Maion was so determinded to get home -to Sengdroma and his herd- that he couldn't allow himself to stop, he was the most recent kidnapping by the Kalona and so he used the strength that had not been zapped by his injure to plow onwards.

He heard movement.

Eyes turned instinctively. Something was there... the question was friend or foe? Maion had never backed down before, injured or not, and now would be no different. "Who is there?" He called out in his booming voice.

User ImageMary had spotted the male as he moved. She was tired, and he was another feathered freak. Certainly he could not be one of hers, could he? Still, she had to test him, just in case. She could not ignore her children when they were in need. So she had moved quietly, swinging her mirror around so that when he turned, it was before him showing his own reflection. Well, his... and hers as she stepped up behind him, showing in the reflection over his shoulder. It was her customary greeting to her children. He should be honored, of course.

At her feet, and out of the reflection was her small slave. A red and black Raccoon who had settled by her hind leg to wash the blood from it's fur.

Maion saw himself looking in.... a pool of water? He had never seen the power of water harnessed in such a way, the only time he had ever seen his own reflection before was on the lakes glistening surface, but even then it would dance and ripple with the soft current of the water.... this was... still.

Still until a figure came behind him. Maion didn't know where she had come from, his hearing was usually impeckable and he had been sure the noise had come from infront of him not behind him. Her turned, cautious of this 'mage' who could make water magically sit still and stand up at an angle. She wasn't an Angeni so it couldn't simply be an ability, like his ability over the Ocean.... what was she?

He wounds throbbed, his head was pounding as the tiredness threatened to consume him.... a little longer, he told himself, just a little longer. Deciding to treat the mare like any other mare until he knew more -bad feeling or not- he bowed his head slight, keeping her in his eyeline at all time. "My name is Maion m'lady, and who may I ask are you?"

Innocent until proven guilty.

She studied him as he turned, and now that she was close enough, saw the blood. Well, perhaps he was one of hers after all; though he seemed a bit lacking in the manners department. The proper response was to bow or kneel, of course, to show abject awe. Still, if a child misbehaves, at least some of the fault falls to the mother. She would simple have to teach this child better. A nap would do him well.

"I am the Dark Goddess," she said in a voice like velvet. "You have come to learn my ways, and worship at my feet, have you not, child?" she asked. Always better to risk treating an ignorant as a child, then to run the risk of treating one of her children as an ignorant. She was Goddess to her children, and they needed her. She would not fail them.

Maion cocked his eyebrow up and looked at the mare in suprise. A Dark Goddess? He had lived a long time and never heard or seen anything to do with Gods or Goddesses, of course many believed that the Angeni were Gods in their own right, having control over nature to some extend. It was strange... he didn't see himself as a God, he was mortal, he could bleed and die... a fact that he had recently been reminded of. "I know not of what you speak strange one." Maion would have usually called the mare 'little one' his standard responce to mares who he did not know the name of... but for some reason, the large creepy eyes on this mare did not seem to give her an aura of a 'little one'.

He adjusted his wings, bringing them down on his back in an effort to shield himself from the chilling breeze that was building.... was she doing this?

He was apprehensive, so much had happened recently and he had not yet rested, healed or simply calmed himself fully after the events... he was on egde. His imagination was running away with him.

That was when Maion's eyes saw the blood on the mares leg, strange or not she could be injured.... "I see blood, are you harmed? I could heal you if you wished." Maion's unicorn blood was very diluted, he wore the horn but had very few powers over it, for all intents and purposes he was more Angeni. Still, he could heal minor cuts and wounds... and keep more severly injured patients alive while a proper healer was found. The memory of feeling helpless as Haishan Fai lay dying below him was a painful reminder of his limitations, he was only happy the other stallion had survived.

We switched to AIM. So I will record it for now. =D

Bloody Mary
"My child," Mary crooned softly at him, "these are no wounds you see, they are a living symbol of the lessons I have learned, and those I would teach you. A Goddess is no mortal, and when I bleed, it is because I wish to, when I stop, it is because I wish to stop. My blood is the strength of my children." She gave him a dark smile. "It seems as though you need my aid, however. I will say that offering a service is a good first impression to make on a Goddess, a sacrifice would likewise not be amiss." She studied him carefully, not all together displeased with what she saw. He might make a good apsotle, if she could get past those hideos wings.

Maion again was stunned, this mare was continuing with her act of being a 'Goddess', but more than that.... an immortal. No creature that walked the earth was immortal, he knew this well. For a time he had hunted skinwalkers, slaughtered them for nothing more than exsisting, many believed that they were myth or immortal.... they were neither, and had died easily below his hooves. It was something he was not proud of but that facts could never be changed, it was what you planned to do with your future, how you had changed and learnt from the past that truely defined you. And Maion hoped he had proven himself worthy since... perhaps he had much more to learn, there was always something new to learn after all... like... did Goddesses really exsist? Surely not.

"I have no interest to learn any lesson you have to give." It sounded like she was a creature of blood and darkness, and that was not something he wanted to be associated with.... such arts tainted the soul, and Maions soul belonged to another already. His mate Sengdroma. "I thank you for your kindess in asking but I can not accept." Again his eyes looked to the blood, it did appear dry but he was still worried about what made her believe she could control it on demand... did she self harm? He had met a stallion once who did that for the 'joy of pain', that was a twisted notion, nothing good was born of pain... only darkness, despair, sadness and blood.

Maion was already feeling the pull back towards his companions, he would have to find another route.... he would not bring them this way in fear there was someone weak enough to believe the delussional rantings of the mare before him. But Maion couldn't pull himself away, he could feel... sadness within the mare, and Maion had never turned his back on a distressed mare before.

Bloody Mary
Oh how her eyes narrowed then. She should have known better then to offer her kindness to a feathered freak. This one was just like that interfearing mare from before. Fury flashed in Mary's dark eyes. "I see that I had been mistaken. I had thought you perhaps had the potential to be one of my children, but I see that you are little more then a foolish little colt who has not even earned the blood he wears. Mores the pity for you. Didn't anyone ever teach you it is unwise to annoy a Goddess?" she asked, stepping towardshim, her mirror right behind him. "Or is it a common theme that all with too many feathers inveriably have the manners of a stink bug?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 13, 2010 1:02 am

Maion hadn't believed he had been rude, but apparantly he had. In many ways it was the confirmation he needed that there was something strange about the mare before him. As she came forward he took a single step back, his wings spreading out instintively in an effort to make himself look bigger.... a pointless exercise since he was a gaint in comparison to the mare, despite her aura of being larger than she appeared. He could hear her heart beating in a stead "thump thump thump", could smell her scent... she was here, flesh and blood.

Still, Maion despised the idea of attacking a mare, mares were to be protected.... though since it had been a mare that had assisted in his kidnapping he knew he would have to rethink his theory. He wouldn't hesitate if it was to protect a foal or a herdmate, but when it was just him and the mare and he had other options -such as flying- before him he felt there was always another option than harming a mare. "I apologise if I have offended you ma'am but I am not sure of what you speak. There are no such things as Gods or Goddesses, and I should know... being of the Angeni I know better than most that even those with powers are not beyond death and pain." He was trying to calm her, his feet planted in the ground. He had forgotten about the magic water behind him.

"Perhaps it would be best if we parted ways now." He said, his voice as calming as he could make it as he assessed the scene before him. A single, slight built mare. Large eyes -likely sensative to the sun, which did him little use in the dark. The forest path curved behind her with the forest either side, large trees of windling green as autumn consumed them. He could fly.

Bloody Mary
She flicked a glance, and the small familiar bathing itself at her hooves wet it's paws in the blood on her legs, then launched itself at him. With it's front paws, the creature clung to his foreleg, as it's hind paws dug around his hoof, the blood making the dirst soft.

"You dare call me a liar?" Mary raged, eyes blazing as she took another step towards him. "How dare you, you feather brained empty headed mortal. "I am the Dark Goddess Bloody Mary, and you have just earned my wrath." And another step in his direction, backing him towards the mirror, her familiar clinging to his leg. "Truly, you have little manners and less brains!"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 13, 2010 1:14 am

Maion yelped in agony as the wound on his leg was reopened by the raccoon that had attacked him. He lifted his leg and shook it several times in an effort to force it's release. He could feel Elijah wiggling in his mane, clearly distressed by the sudden movement. He knew his little familar had been sleeping, she had stayed hidden and safe through their ordeal and Maion had no intention of changing that now. "Shhhhhhh" he cooed to her, his breath panting slightly with his effort to dislodge the raccoon.

Then his eyes were forced from his leg and back to the mare as she spoke, he had not intended to offend her more, but it appeared that no matter what he said he would not be able to say the right thing now that she had deemed him 'unworthy' though what she wanted him to be 'worthy' of he was unsure. If they had been closer to the Ocean he would have summoned it, not to harm or wash away the mare and her attacker but to conseal himself, have it wash him away into the darkness of the night and to the safety of a beach... oh how he wished he could just disappear right now, redo the past few days. Pain erupted in his leg, a sharp pain that caused him to wince. "ENOUGH" He roared as he slammed his hoof down forcing the raccoon to let go. He stepped back then, an effort to get away from the mare and her attacker... when he leg touched something cold.

He turned, his eyes once again meeting his own in the magic water. "I will admit you have some talents..." he mumbled as he broke his eyes contact and turned back to the bloody creature before him. "....but you are not what you believe yourself to be." His heart raced in his chest. He needed to get out of here as soon as possible, the desire to help her was fading becoming replaced by a need for self preservation... he needed to see Sengdroma, he had not seen in her in what felt like an eternity.

Bloody Mary
The raccoon darted forward and began digging out the ground around the Angeni's hooves, as though it had not just been shaken free. Mary stepped closer, her mirror holding steady behind him. "And still, you continue to call me a lair, to insult me. Was your mother truly of such low blood that she could not even teach you manners? Or perhaps had she abandoned you when she got a glimpse of your hideous feathers?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 13, 2010 1:24 am

"My mother was a skinwalker..... a dispictable creature that was against nature and all things pure." She may not have been his 'birth mother' but he had known no other after washing up on that beach as a young foal, he could remember nothing before that and very little after. His foal memories were confused, and only after meeting Eaving since had he learnt the truth.... and of course gained Eaving and Zeta for his troubles. Still, they were family... they had forced him to change his opinion on skinwalkers, he had hunted them as a young man in an effort to seek revenge for his mother, but he hadn't needed to it seemed. His mother hadn't been slaughted, she had abandoned him in that cave in an attempt to save him..... painful memories indeed. Each night he had bedded down, alone and cold, hoping and praying she would return. Then one day the call of the Ocean had been too much and he had jumped.... learnt to fly and started the newest chapter in his life.

Maion wouldn't go back now. "So you can call her as you wish, but do not make the mistake of insulting me... I have been nothing but kind. I tried to help you, I could consider your refusal rude but that would do little good." Perhaps he could reason with her? Show her that she was mistaken.... if not he would leave, fly away... even if it was simply to protect Elijah. He could feel his little fox familar trembling on his neck, hidden bu his long mane.

Bloody Mary
"Nothing but kind?" she crooned before laughing. "the feathers, Taph. We should do him a favor, after all," she instructed the raccoon. The small creature climbed up his leg again, trying to get onto his back this time. Mary focused on him once more. "How many times have you called me a liar? You've refused my aid where you clearly need it. You failed to show proper resepct due a Goddess. I assure you, I am not the rude one."
