Have you ever played Dirty Santa in real life? In the game, everyone brings a wrapped gift, then they draw a number to see in which order they will get to pick a gift to open. Each person can either pick a gift from the pile, or steal a gift from another person. Then, the person whose item was stolen can steal another person's gift until everyone gets to the point where they are happy with their gifts. It's a fun game and great fun, but unfortunately, we have to edit it a bit for the sake of time and thread limitations. So, here's how the game is going to work in the Vetus Gaianus version!How to play
Buy a gift that costs between 10k and 20k (you can go higher if you like, but not lower). Then, gift that item to the guild mule, Ellineath, and indicate that it is for Dirty Santa. Do NOT send it anonymously, or else you will be disqualified from this game. On the 19th, a list of numbers will be posted, and you will choose a number in this thread. Each number will correspond to a gift, but you will not know what the gift is until everyone has picked a number. Then, at 11:59 PM on the 21st, prizes will appear next to the numbers. (I will make a list with numbers and prizes before people pick numbers to keep it fair.) Of the people opening the gifts, three random numbers will be labeled with Steal Passes. The people with the Steal can either keep their gifts, or trade items with another person. Gifts may only be stolen/traded once, so whoever uses a Steal Pass first gets dibs on the presents. Then, on the night of the 23rd, everyone's gifts will be sent to them! Clear as mud? Are you ready to participate in Dirty Santa? Then hurry and send those gifts, and wait for the fun to begin!
How to begin/Rules
- Post in this thread that you want to participate, and I will add your name to the list. After you send a gift to the mule, a heart will be added beside your name, indicating that you are ready to play.
- Make sure that you indicate that the gift you are sending is for Dirty Santa.
- Please observe the pricing regulations. We do not want Neutral Starter Polos and other cheap junk from the Daily Chance in this game.
- If you wish to provide a more expensive item for the game, please do not send one that is worth more than 50k. I don't want the gifting to be too uneven as that may cause bickering.
- Remember that you may have your gift stolen because that is simply the nature of the game. Regardless of what happens, try to be a good sport about it.
- Be respectful of the other participants and try to keep this game light and fun.
- If you win a Steal Pass, you have until 11:59 PM on the 22nd to indicate who you would like to trade with. If you do not indicate that you would like to trade with anyone, you will keep your gift by default.
- If you are confirmed as a participant (meaning you sent a gift), you must choose a number by 11:59 PM on the 21st or else I will randomly select a number for you.
- All times listed are for the Central time zone. If you are confused about any of the times or dates, PM me and I would be more than happy to help clarify what time that would be for your time zone. biggrin List of Participants

List of Gift Numbers Choose one of these numbers, and then wait for the prizes to be listed beside them. No two people may choose the same number. Whoever claims a number first gets it. Or, you could go ahead and pick one now. biggrin Pick a number between one and ten. The only stipulation is that you won't get a Steal Pass with yours by default. It would kind of be unfair to knowingly give you one before the game begins. 3nodding

It's gonna suck not being able to even check in on gaia. I mean I always check in but never post. Cuz my computer stinks!
