Depending on your group sometimes depends on the rules, but the following is a list of just the general rules. If you would like to add any please feel free to do so.
1. Be Respectful! 2. Be Professional 3. Keep a cell phone nearby - just in case. 4. Stay informed - ideas, theories and equipment change so it is a good idea to keep up with it. 5. If you don't know something, don't pretend you do. Ex: If you think someone is experiencing an inhuman haunt but are not knowledgable about inhuman haunts than don't pretend that you do. 6. Keep religious objects handy for your personal use (if you wish) but don't over use them. 7. Be skeptical. 8. Mark your EVPs and videos. Ex: sneezes, whispers, etc taht are done by investigators. 9. Don't smoke during an investigation. 10. Don't drink before or during an investigation. 11. Make a list of personal experiences and times. 12. Reminder: Be Respectful! 13. Dress appropriately. 14. Don't run away.

Rule 0, and perhaps the most important rule of Paranormal Investigating: GET PERMISSION FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't just wander into a cemetery or abandoned house and start doing your thing. It could be considered tresspassing and you can get arrested, fined, shot, or worse...shot TWICE (only if you survive the first shot razz )

Yes! Or Rule 0 aka Use Common Sense. Also, keep in mind that some houses are abandoned because of structural issues. They make cool and like some place you want to investigate but you never know what could happen. Plus, if you are in or plan on starting a paranormal group, getting sited for trespassing could ruin your groups reputation.

Yes, yes it could.
Rule 18: (This one I don't see posted on paranormal hunter websites that often but it's a good idea) Be aware of the time of year it is. Ex: hunting season, (this is a really bad time of year to be around woods) or if you are going to a battlefield- then the time of the year the reenactments and special displays are. Rule 19: Know the area, especially if you are out at night. You don't want to wonder off and find yourself rolling down a hill or falling off a rock.
