Has anyone else noticed recently that the Gaia forums have become a seriously unfriendly place to be? I've tried browsing them more lately (for the longest time now I've just stuck to the guild) and I am quite shocked tbh. It's like every single person who posts there just has a bone to pick with everyone else o_O BATTLE STATIONS
Has anyone else noticed the sheer pointless amount of antagonism and internet warfaee going on? It never used to be like this... back in the good old days... *sits in her rocking chair*

I've never really gotten into the forums before. To be honest, I only got into them because of DemonBusters XDDDD
But seriously though, now that I think about it I think the forums have become an allegory for the bad half of the real world...

I've been lurking for a few random days a week and I see the same person on, every night... always crashing someone's (possible) invisible thread and whatnot. It's amazing how they're always the first post. o___o

I'd hate to innocently wander into a political discussion forum...you'd need a virtual tank to survive in there, or at least some form of indestructible armor...and even then survival isn't guaranteed...><

Is "logic" the definitive Troll-B-Gone spray we all need?
And I'm glad that I'm not the only one who found the old-school clever trolling funny. There was one guy/girl who always lurked around the LD and commented on the threads made by seriously stupid people. It was amazing watching them totally flounder under his/her piercing witticisms and riling observations. I remember one thread where they totally prodded and poked the OP into a frenzy, and then totally cut them down when their head filled right up with steam.
It was like... bravo, my friend. Bravo. *slow clap*
Actually, I went ahead and made a thread last night, partially out of interest in the topic and partially to see the kind of responses I'd get, and actually people have been pretty okay and normal so far. Aside from all the people bragging about how many items they have. (Topic related, sort of, but still...)
Maybe it depends on which forum you're in?
