Ik zou graag eens te meer weten over Nederlandse voedsel! Welke soorten voedsel denkt u eten meestal? "Ik geïnteresseerd in de traditionele voedsel als dagelijks voedsel. (I would like to know more about to Dutch food! Which foods do you usually eat? "I am interested in the traditional food as well as daily food.)
There is a little shop close to me that calls itself a "Dutch cafe" and it makes Pannenkoeken. I can't wait to try it! I think they might make them too thin though.

That is normal in Holland. There we call the panncakes Americans make, Panncakes... And what we eat are the thick big Pannenkoeken... xD
I love them.. there between a crêpe (from France/Belgium).. and a panncake (American) in, with size and thickness... xD
And more dutch food is Licerisch? (i just write it how i think its spoken?) {drop voor de NL-ers}
And an other thing is realy dutch.. its calles Hutspot... it is a combi of potatoes, vetgebles and some other stuff... People made it in time of war cause the food supplies where low and it fullfilling.... (I don't really like it.. but i don't like potatoes at all.. no fries and no potatoe panncakes or tomething like that... )
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa long storie about food xD

Although I'm sure a lot of the food I eat didn't originate in Holland, I'm absolutely obsessed with shoarma! Oh my gosh, and does anybody ever go to the Delifrance? Their bombay sandwich is the best thing ever! And loempias...
And! My last name is actually Pannekoek smile My husband and I joke that when we have kids we're going to have poffertjes, haha. Mmmmm..... poffertjes. Another food that I love! heart heart heart

Typical Dutch food:
boil some potatoes boil any cabbage like vegetable Add them together once done and mash 'em up. Serve in a mount with a whole in the middle for some gravy and sausage on the side.

I worked in a restaurant and made poffertjes. Most foreign people (exept from Germany, France and Belgium) don't like poffertjes, 'cause they think they're raw. But they're not, they're really good!!!
