Lumiere didn't need twenty-twenty vision to see a fainted child in the middle of the street. She didn't know why there was a child on the street exactly but he was in her way. She sighed, shaking her head. What was even worse? Well, if there was a child on the street then that meant some sort of criminal activity.. or worse, a negaverse agent. And if was the latter, she'd better be prepared. Though she really didn't need the distraction tonight. She sighed inwardly, thinking that this senshi business was a large hindrance.

Extremely. But it had to be done.

Soon, instead of Lumiere, Sailor Aeria walked out. A quick touch to the pulse made her realize the male wasn't dead. That was confusing-- weren't they usually? Perhaps, it wasn't the negaverse after all. It might have been somebody who avoided the blame. Gingerly, she grasped both hands around the child's wrist to drag him out of the streets. She wasn't going to have a body bloodied by a car on her conscience. She would rather sleep tonight than think about it. It'd spoil her nightly cup of tea. That was an activity Lumiere held close to her heart.

She reminded herself, simply drag the body out of the way and take the shortest route out here.

Painite had been taking notes. Senshi saved people. Senshi had areas they liked to patrol. Some Senshi had schedules. All facts most negaversers could just assume and treated as common knowledge, but to Painite?

They were invaluable details.

She had finally found an area to keep an eye on, and had picked a spot for her next attempt at a trap. Her first effort to trap a senshi (minus that one time where she thought she had caught one but it had turned out to be a very awesome Negaverse Captain).

Sitting and waiting for someone to pass through the area and spot the unconscious human she had left for a patrolling senshi to find. When one arrived on the scene she grinned, watching as the girl pulled the unconscious boy out of the street. She jumped down, landing behind Aeria and swinging her hobby-horse weapon at the Senshi's head.

She still wasn't great at hand to hand combat, but that was okay: she had a plan!

When the boy had been dragged sufficiently enough for the selfish scout, she was about to leave him there. Somebody would find him soon enough and report him-- he didn't have any valuables anyways. Her job was done here, adequately enough. She shook her head-- the thought of doing more wasn't quite that appealing.

Aeria straightened, hearing a sound behind her. Before she could turn around, a soft plush object hit her head. Note to self: plush objects still hurt, even with soft material, impacts are painful. Her head was throbbing as her posture bended down, slightly disoriented to the side. Aeria wasn't annoyed. She wasn't angry, She was livid. If glares could kill, the one that was directed towards the antagonist through slitted eyes would murder.

Her next reaction? Her hand raised, posture straightened and what came next:

SLAP!

Painite was feeling very proud of her swiftly executed and perfectly aimed attack. At least in her mind it was without flaw, though she probably could have hit lower to find a better area to try and knock her out in one hit, but that wasn't here nor there. In the end, she had done as she had planned and that was always thrilling.

She was so ready for a fight!

She grinned at the angry look the Senshi gave her, opening her mouth to give a triumphant pronunciation of her coming victory over her newest chosen rival. This would be a glorious win for evil, and-

"Ow!"

She stared in surprise, her cheek stinging. Well that certainly hadn't been what she was expecting. For a moment she didn't know how to respond, mouth hanging open, eyes fixed on the senshi.

"You slapped me!"

It was as if Painite couldn't understand what she had done to deserve that. She had just set a trap and hit the senshi on the head, and was set on draining her energy and even killing her in the name of the Negaverse, but come on: slapping her for it was a bit much. She had been expecting her to fight back in a normal way. Though, now that she was in the moment, she couldn't remember what that 'normal' way was in her mind.

So she did what she had to do: she slapped Aeria right back.

"Of course. What else did you expect?" Aeria's chin tipped slightly upwards, obviously treating the negaverse agent with a mixture of disgust and condescension-- a plush horse? They couldn't throw anything better at her---

Slap!

--Both of their cheeks bore bright red slap marks. But at this point, there was a mutual thought between the negaverse and senshi, organizations that belonged in opposite ends of the galaxy. If it was a movie or book, sparks of electricity might have been flying in between both females.

It was on. This fight, officially, from this moment on was a battle.

At this point, in an instant Aeria's knee bent to lower her hand, touching the ground, eyes concentrated upwards. "Invoke Crystal!" She shouted out, a crystal stalagmite appearing from the ground below Painite's feet, attempting to hit the negaverse agent. It would still be one of her first fights but Aeria wasn't foolish enough to let her guard down.

Out of this battle, the way Aeria concluded, her crystals would do more damage than a silly.. horse plush.

"Whoa!" Painite yelped, pulling back. She tried to regain her composure though, keeping her expression a cocky grin, her body language languid. She was confident in herself, not sharing, either, that it was one of her first battles outside of practice matches with her Captain and teammate.

There was really no reason to share that information, right?

Gripping Mr. Saddles, she jumped back and away from the initial crystal stalagmite shooting out from the ground. That looked like it could be rather painful, if she wasn't on her toes at all times. And while her name might have been Painite, she wasn't a fan of being in pain.

Wheels turning in her head, she bounced toward a streetlamp, jumping up and clinging to the pole, taking her feet off the ground. There! That would help. If she attacked through the ground, like it looked, then being above the ground would help keep her out of danger. Of course, it would also make it difficult to fight, but she'd figure it out.

"Bet you can't get me!" She taunted, scrambling up the pole. She hopped from it onto an awning on a building, then quickly continued to climb up onto the roof. She didn't try and get away, though, keeping her eye on the senshi. She had a trap set, but it was just a matter of getting them there. At the moment it seemed she was taking the long way around, but she would make it work.

At first, Aeria mistaked it that the negaverse might have run away. It would have been much easier if she had chosen that path. But instead, the negaverse agent baited her into following.

Why Aeria was following? It wasn't out of a strong sense of justice or competition. Far from it. She and the lieutenant was unfinished business. Aeria wasn't about to let it go-- she had better be prepared for a fight because Lumiere's precious time certainly wasn't cheap.

Aeria could only see the dark silhouette of the other leaping across rooftops, her own feet moving just as swiftly and fleetingly. One hand was raised, attempting to keep her hat on, fingers clutching the embedded design. Her pink ribbon flowed behind her, skirt flying with the breeze.

.. Where was she going?
PostPosted: Sat Jan 01, 2011 11:49 pm

Painite looked back, bouncing around, going in one large circle over the roof tops, just to get her to follow along. For a moment it turned into a game. She almost forgot what she was doing, just playing this game of cat and mouse. The Senshi might have thought she was the cat, chasing its mouse, but oh was she wrong!

Painite told herself she was just testing the other's resolve and endurance, though really she was just enjoying her game a little too much. That sometimes got in the way of things: she liked to make a big show of things, and could go way over the top when it wasn't necessary.

She seemed to catch on that the chase was going on a bit too long, then dropped off of a roof top. She ran down an alley and put her back to a chain fence, waiting for the Senshi to join her.

There was a trap reminiscent of a bear trap waiting, though she liked to call it a Senshi Snapper. She had made it from an old trap and reinforced its moving parts, removing the teeth of the metallic jaw and replacing it with a thick padding. It wouldn't break skin, but if the force was right it would leave a hell of a bruise, or even break the bone. She hadn't tried it, however, since she liked her bones unbroken and unbruised.

Unbroken and unbruised, that was how Aeria would have liked to keep her carefully cultivated figure. She leaped following the negaverse lieutenant, a long sigh drawn out as the negaverse ran.. and ran.

What an incompetent fool. If the negaverse hired members of such low caliber, she pitied their numbers. But they must have been useful at something considering their numbers and success at gaining two crystals.

She followed the negaverse agent as she jumped below, eyes landing suspiciously as the negaverse.. willingly.. trapped herself against a chain fence? This wasn't right. Aeria frowned, foolishly taking a step forward. This was unfortunate for the crystal senshi, her purple eyes immediately landing upon the trap when she heard the creaking of the old metal about to close.

She was just about to step back when the metal clamped onto her foot, sending a swift and sharp rush of pain. With gritted teeth and the sound of metal against metal, it was a wonder as to how she was keeping it inside.

It would leave "one hell of a bruise." With difficulty, Aeria sent another crystal flying in the lieutenant's direction, believing her to be an eays target backed against the wall. But it appeared, with the pain shrouding her mind, she might not be able to form another crystal following this.

She wasn't getting away with this.

Painite almost whooped for joy when her trap, as simple as it seemed, worked. Or at least, it looked like it worked, as well as it could have. She couldn't have been happier with the result, and just hoped the old metal was sturdy and not easy to break. She had tested the joints, but hadn't tried to purposefully break them.

As that would have really ruined the whole gizmo, if she had tried to break it and succeeded. Hopefully, though, the Senshi wouldn't be able to get herself free.

She was, after all, in pain, right?

Distracted by her thoughts and patting herself on the back, she was very surprised when she spotted a crystal heading her way. She had assumed wrong! She thought the crystals would only come up from the ground, but that was not the case. Yelping, she pulled herself to the side, trying to get out of the way, the crystal tearing at her shoulder before it hit the fence behind her.

Clamping her hand over the wound, she grimaced and nearly dropped Mr. Saddles.

"Give up, Senshi, and I'll make this easier on you!" She demanded, though, in truth, she had actually been quite scared by the crystal coming at her. She had never really suffered an attack from a senshi before, and that was the most stark reminder she had so far of how dangerous it was to pick fights with them. Shaken, but not stirred, she put a grin on her face and told herself it wouldn't happen again.

"I've got you right where I want you!"

Someone.. was making demands of Aeria? Demands wasn't something Aeria took with complacent obedience. Her eyes narrowed, tipping her head up in a prideful gesture. "Give up?" A smile curled on Aeria's face, her eyes darkening. "I must disagree. Such a low caliber term couldn't possibly be in my vocabulary. Make it easier for me and just stay down, soldier." Aeria stated, less of a demand and posed more like a confident statement, lifting her foot, trap and all.

If you were going to do it, do it all the way. Aeria's lack of experience got her into this trap but that didn't mean she wasn't about to make the best use of this trap. After all, this aged metal was metal. Metal meant hard impacts.

In less than a moment, a white boot lifted high, aiming a round kick towards the other's upper body parts with a rusted trap of metal stuck. The combination meant to accumulate into one great impact. The rusted chain swung behind in it's path, attempting to knock the weapon and the lieutenant to collide into the wall with Aeria's fierce kick.

Painite watched the Senshi carefully, expecting her to give in. That's what people who were on the losing side of things did, didn't they? No, that wasn't a safe thing to assume. The Senshi would fight, surely, and make things more difficult. Which was fine by Painite: she liked a challenge.

Unless she didn't win. Then it wasn't as fun as it could be.

"My, my," she cooed tauntingly, "someone's haughty. You think a lot of yourself, don't you?"

Painite did her best to plan for things, but sometimes thoughts and ideas got in her head. She took things for granted, and that clouded her ability to think things through entirely. For example, she had fully assumed, without thinking about it once, that when the victim got its foot stuck in the trap, it would stay there and not be able to move that foot. She was quickly proven wrong.

"Whoa!"

She went sprawling backwards, bumping into the fence behind her, Mr. Saddles spilling to the floor. She grimaced, shaking her head and shielding with her already wounded shoulder. The pain was intense when the metal hit her upper arm, and for a moment she leaned on the fence, dazed.

"Okay, clearly you do not understand the concept of being trapped," she whined, trying to straighten herself. Of course, the trap had broken, which meant the senshi wasn't exactly 'trapped' any more, obviously.

"You might want to rethink about your lack of contingency plans." Aeria warned her briskly, stepping towards the injured lieutenant. They were even-- in terms of injuries. Most likely, experience as well.

Before the lieutenant could straighten herself, Aeria's hand forcibly grabbed Painite's wrist, using a great deal of force and pressure. One foot limped heavily as Aeria struggled to keep her grip and balance.

"Clearly I don't. I suppose I have yet to be taught that lesson-- Although you should be taught a few yourself. Answer me this. Who are you?" The order was curt and short, her eyes staring straight into Painite's ones. She was gritting her teeth, ignoring the pain that throbbed through her foot. She couldn't ignore it for long, her frown deepning and her other hand curled into a fist, struggling to restrain herself from digging her nails depe into her palms as a distraction.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:19 pm

"That's none of your business, Senshi!"

Painite was angry, and she was not used to it. She couldn't focus, and her head felt like it was filled with fog and cotton balls. Made of pure rage. She yanked her arm, trying to free it of Aeria's grasp. That done, she moved to stomp her on the foot. Her injured one, of course, though it would have made sense to get her other one, just to make standing difficult.

But she wasn't thinking very well.

"You may have triumphed this time, but I will not forget this! I will find you again, Senshi, and when I do, you'll regret this day!"

She slipped into classic evil-doer mode without noticing, meaning every single word she said, even as she over emphasized them. She lurched forward suddenly, slamming into Aeria with her good shoulder, just trying to get by her and run.

Running was good.

When Painite's foot made contact with Aeria's bruised one, she lsot her footing, her shoulder sagging against the wall. The female slammed against her, forcing Aeria to step back.

"Unh." Aeria didn't think she could jump home on this foot. Technically, she could but only with a world of pain involved. She couldn't chase after the lieutenant's trail in this condition-- not that she wanted to. Unnecessary trouble was a bothersome task after all. Aeria didn't go to such lengths. She grimaced, feeling quite pathetic as she was forced to limp home.

She echoed Painite's sentiments. She would recall the memory of the horse-stick lieutenant and she would pay. Mostly for the modeling fees that would result from this injury, delaying shoots and other possible opportunities. Lumiere's time and effort wasn't cheap.

In fact, it was rather expensive.
