1. What are you doing for Christmas this year? :3

IDK!! Probably staying home and eating with my family =D I wanna help with the cooking!!!

2. What have you done for Christmas in previous years/any outstanding anectdotes/any holiday traditions?

Actually, we usually go out for dinner, but in the last two years we've stopped doing that. LOL, ANECTDOTE: One year my nan/mum nearly set the restaurant on fire. My mum took me up for a picture by the tree and while we were standing there I noticed a burning smell. (I immediately thought my long plait must've caught on something, because... yeah. It's not unlikely. XDD) When we got back to the table, we found the bag my mum keeps her cameras in burned and mangled. Apparently she'd left it too close to the candle and it had caught and nan had smothered it with her own bare hands. We made a quick exit before anyone noticed, ROFL.

3. Is there a gift you really want this year? Do you know what things you might be getting?

I... actually, last year and this year I've bought or picked out the majority of my gifts myself, LOL. This year so far I've bought myself a necklace and a dress, commanded my mum to get me a musical doll from the Alice shop in Oxford and I'm just about to go onto Amazon to buy myself a copy of Crimson Butterfly, which I've been wanting for years and have finally decided to take the plunge. There's also a gorgeous statue from an alternative shop in Haverfordwest that I'm sure she's going to get for me with her voucher. As for what else I might be getting... my mum always has a few tricks up her sleeve... XD

4. What are you getting for other people?

Yesterday I picked up my drama teacher's Christmas present. She started the tradition of exchanging unusual books a few years back when she got me a book called Foyle's Philavery, which is basically a dictionary of words no longer in common use or which were always obscure to begin with. An example is "abacinate," which means "to poke out one's eyes with a red-hot poker." Last year I got her a book on plant folklore, and she got me a book on sayings and idioms. This year I've gotten her a little book about the joys of gardening, full of quotes and unusual poems I've certainly never come across before. I think she'll love it =w=

As for everyone else... I bought chocolates for each of the members of the cast and crew I'd befriended. My mum has been asking for a set of Pigling the Pog statuettes, but I'm wavering on getting them because someone else might get them for her .___. I should ask if she thinks she might get them from someone else. And my grandparents never want anything, lol. They yell at us not to waste our money XDD

5. What's your favourite thing about the holiday season?

Peace and joy and goodwill and happiness amidst the biting cold =]

6. Any favourite christmas music?

HJSHFJSH. Aside from ALL of the traditional carols, A Spaceman Came Travelling and Mistletoe and Wine. Does anyone love the fact that near the end Old Cliffy looks like he's leading an aerobics workout video? I actually really like Here We Go A-Wassailing and I've always wanted to sing In Dulci Jubilo with a choir.

Sorry for me being not so active lately...been battle a cold/flu/sickness that just wont go away and it takes a lot of my energies...


1. What are you doing for Christmas this year? :3
I'm going to go visit visit my family for a week. I'm very excited because I only get to see them 2 times a year.

2. What have you done for Christmas in previous years/any outstanding anectdotes/any holiday traditions?
Now that I live far away I usually go visit them. I'm excited for the traditional breakfast my mom always makes Christmas morning and the killer dinner she makes at night.

3. Is there a gift you really want this year? Do you know what things you might be getting?
Not getting much this year. We already bough Fable 3 and that was kind of our gift to each other since we are on a really tight budget this year. My biggest gift is the fact that my mom and dad are helping fly my husband and I up to spend time with them.

4. What are you getting for other people?
Got my youngest sister a cute shirt and my middle sister some comfy pj pants. We gave my dad an old surfboard we didn't use anymore to put up on his garage wall.

5. What's your favourite thing about the holiday season?
Being with family. Living so far away makes me appreciate the time I get with them so much more. That and the food!

6. Any favourite christmas music?
These are the song that remind me of my childhood Christmas memories. Sleigh Ride by Herb Alpert. Love this whole Christmas album! Deck the Halls by Mannheim Steamroller, or just anything by them. Carol of the Bells by Trans-Siberian Orchestra Ukrainian Carol Narada collection...a softer version of the last song. Last but not least any time O Holy Night is played on the cello.

Opening presents Christmas morning, having a few family members over for the day, and (hopefully) staying in PJs all day! =D

Eating a family breakfast, opening presents (obviously), watching Christmas movies, and spending the entire day in PJs.
Anecdotes...there's always the Noel vs. Leon debate from my Dad's side of the family...

3. Is there a gift you really want this year? Do you know what things you might be getting?

A new mp3 player gdhafdougdh
And some anime stuff which I probably won't get cuz my family doesn't really accept my love of anime and such

Not entirely sure yet! lol XD

*drools thinking about the desserts she'll get to eat* ...Do you even have to ask...?

Any of the classics playing on the radio. I love Christmas music. 3nodding

Ahh.. same thing as usual.. Going to the usual place with family and basically bumming out for the holidays~ 8D *shot* B-but thanks to stoofid school I have to tote around books and things and study as well ''OTL

Well, the tradition would be to not spend it at home.. :3

Ahhh.. I've actually stopped asking for stuff for Christmas. sweatdrop If I were to get anything this year.. it would be clothes or.. accessories (well, that's what I have usually gotten XD).

4. What are you getting for other people?
I made key chains for my close friends~ and kind of fail greeting cards for everyone else.. Getting these things printed out was stressful since I lent my USB to someone and just got it back the same day.
Also I sneaked out to buy gifts for my bro and sis, which led me to lose my Ipod at the mall and then find it again.. ''OTL Yeah, I'm cursed whenever I get people gifts.. ;____;

5. What's your favourite thing about the holiday season?
No school, spending time at home.. Basically a break from the normal. =w=;;;

6. Any favourite christmas music?

Sa Araw ng Pasko (On Christmas Day)
- For as long as I can remember I loved listening to this song. It's nostalgic in a sense since I've heard it since I was a kid and at talks about spending Christmas with people you love, and wishing them a happy Christmas even when they're far away. We used to sing it at Christmas parties in elementary school and I'd get sad since I wont be seeing my friends for a while over the holidays. Even up to now it's a favorite song.
Kumukutikutitap (Glittering/Sparking?? idk the English word ''OTL)
- I find this song really cute.. It describes the shining/glittering lights, ornaments and stars that come with the holiday. And I also like it because every time I go to a holiday concert this is almost a MANDATORY song XD just because it sounds so happy and upbeat.
Star ng Pasko (The Star of Christmas)
- AND THIS ONE HAS SUBTITLES NAO~ ehem.. Well I found this one cute as well after I heard it at the mall (it was looping okay XDDD). Never really noticed how nice the lyrics were before that. :3

edit: How could I forget.. Merry Freaking Christmas!! I love listening to this even if it isn't Christmas. ='3

Erm.. kind of.. But because of the workload I have to take home from school it's kind of dampened. BUT FOR ONCE I'M KIND OF EXCITED TO BE LEAVING THE HOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS~ Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy.. ehem..
