By nature a wanderer, Asali usually believed that the best thing in the world was discovering new lands. He kept busy mapping new territory, making contacts, and spreading news.
Every now and again, though, he started missing the comforts of home. Or the comforts he thought a home would provide; he hadn't actually had a home since he was just a little kit.
But right now he was hankering for a home, and a little lady to curl up next to in the cold of the night. Or, warm as it was, the heat of the night.
Some days ago he had turned aside from his wanderings to head back to into a valley near a river he remembered as being highly populated with ratels. If he was going to find what he was looking for, it would be here. But now that he was here, all he wanted was a long drink from the stream.

Feeling the wind through her fur, Popo was running fast. She had been for awhile, actually, trying to use up some of the energy that had been making her itch all day. It was strange, how much energy she seemed to always had. It made her bounce when she stood, twitch when she slept, and run for endless amounts of time.
Until it was used up.
Slowing down, Popo felt her lungs heave. Finally. She really liked being able to sit still and be calm, especially when in the company of others. When she was younger, she and her brother always used that energy to their advantage, going on so many adventures. But now that she was older, she really wanted to be normal. To live a normal life.
But there was still time for all that. She was still young, and full of life. Looking around, she found herself....well, she really didn't know where she was. Every place looked the same to her, and with such dull scenery, it was no surprise. Curling herself up, she let out a sigh, closing her eyes as a smile slipped onto her face.
